Hot Take: Bear Communion should count as a Beast Incantation and get quadraple buffed by Pelt of Ralva, Cinquedea, Roar Medalion, and Clawmark Seal. And its damage will still be terrible.
11:45 Just a quick reminder about the Finger Robe: to obtain this effect, you HAVE to alter the robe! At the end of Count Ymir's questline, you get his clothes (the High Priest Robe). Then you have to alter it (at a site of grace or Boc) to get the Finger version that gives you the effect. Ymir's base robe doesnt give you the buff!
Yeah and I also love the look of the altered robe idk why Youwy said it looks stupid. Maybe it’s just me
@@beef_babyThe cape/cloak thing looks so damn comfortable. I want to lay on it if it didn’t have fingers sprouting out of it
@@beef_babyI think it could look really cool with the bandage wrap head piece as well. It’s a shame I didn’t kill him because I completed his quest and he’s gone now :(
Same thing with thiollers shirt. You lose the arcane boost if you alter it
@@seb1520 if you complete his quest you kill him, it's part of his quest
Circlet of Light also has amazing protection and 5 poise for only 1 weight.
Yeah, it's basically giving you around 2 extra endurance as well compared to most helmets
Circlet of Light is probably one of the most efficient head items in the entire game AND it has mad drip for any faith builds.
I wish St. Trina's Blossom could be as useful, but oh well...
@@icetide9411 Thiollier wishes he could-
I probably shouldn't finish that joke.
@@FelisImpurrator It’s second place in cool headpieces. Has one more poise than that one commoner headpiece everyone uses, that alone is enough for me
you'd think with how fast you churn out these lists they would be dogshit in quality but they're all really well made and researched. when do you sleep!?
"99% percent of the playerbase is only going to dress up for fashion"
I think there is a decent chunk of the playerbase that dresses up for defensive stats, the DLC release absolutely made some people into Bull-Goat enjoyers KEKW
Great video as always!
From my experience, this isn't true in the slightest: 99% of players dress in the most fugly armor combinations imaginable for their stats and then die anyways due to having only 800ish hp (greatshield mages wasting so many levels on End and Str that they don't even use...).
Luckily they added the solitude set which is the fashionable bull goat alternative
@@Eagle_SFMi swear bullgoat has to be one of their ugliest sets so thank god for that
@@Eagle_SFMmoore’s set is also pretty cool looking despite its size, and Gaius’s helmet is also pretty cool looking but is chunky asl
Thanks for clearing the rakshasa armor misunderstanding. I commented the same in your last video, I'm glad people know now.
Rakshasa is simply goated for fashion and for utility
I've not taken it off since I got it
I genuinely thought it gives you a damage taken debuff this whole time. That's mostly why I refrained from using it, but I'm just flabbergasted to know the whole effect is actually having slightly less negation than other sets in its class lmfao
@@kaloyaxeus Just the usual fromsoft experience of "figure it out yourself"
I don’t get it I compared my damage before and after and I only did 6 more damage with the set on
Remember using the Rakshasa set only for the drip only to see later that i was tanking MORE than previously since i was using very light clothing
Rakshasa also has pretty high poise for its weight too. If memory serves it either beats out or is close to par with Maliketh's set despite being a decent bit lighter
Yeah I don’t get the rationale behind that armor set? Pretty hard to justify wearing anything else unless you’re planning to Uber tank. Just free 8% damage with higher poise than the armor sets of similar weight have for the trade off of slightly lesser dmg negation from the armor itself, instead of some blanket percentage like the scorpion charms or sore/scarseals. Especially once you’re above scadu level 14 where most of your dmg negation comes from the blessings alongside talismans rather than what you’re wearing.
@@lerosallyn9279 It's not a small amount of damage negation FYI. It's about 2/3rds of the damage negation you'd get with a similarly weighed set.
@@mattbuergel8487 In base game sure, but in the dlc your negation mostly comes from scadu blessings and talismans so it rly is a small trade off for big damage
@@lerosallyn9279 I think Scadutree blessings give a % increase to negation. So you're at 2/3rds in both base game and DLC.
The divine beast head also gives +4 dex on top of the +4 strength.
Also I didn’t find those heal reduction when percentages when I tested them.
Anyone know if those numbers are correct
@@jessevstheworld5087 the description says you lose a lot of focus, it doesn't mention anything about a reduction in your flask. Not great against madness and sleep but I'll take the trade off for the benefits. You can always use another helm in those situations.
@@magnetarlord3148 It does reduces, I already have tested it myself, but it isn't a big thing especially if u already are a Crimsom Seed Talisman Enjoyer
Death knight set is so fire, the armor itself has good absorptions, looks amazing, and buffs what are essentially the best faith spells in the game
so glad fromsoft is making armor pieces have effect. always loved the idea in mods.
@lordofcinderdeathknight8438 well sure, or any other RPG from way before Demon's Souls was even conceived of. Not a new idea at all
Base game had it too, just not as much, out of like let’s say 250 pieces they got like a good 40 that does stuff, n in dlc it’s probably about 100 pieces of armor and probably a good 20-30
@@jankbunky4279 You compare souls games to souls games, not ''any other RPG''. Souls games are their own genre.
@@user-ni7qv1nd8obarely
They’re not that wildly different from a standard rpg
I am getting the impression that he really doesn’t like his flasks being reduced in effectiveness.
i wore the divine beast head the entire time after i got it and may have run out of flasks once against bayle and i won the fight lol
if i die to a boss it's because they caught me with a combo or interrupted my healing not because i didn't have enough flasks or my flasks didn't heal enough i never once noticed the difference honestly
@@ghoulbuster1using a talisman to remove a debuff of the mask when you could just use the storm talisman for a better version if the buff without the downside is crazy
@@druco123or don't use any talisman for the flask debuff and just heal with incantations. It fits every build and heal from afar is just as quick as a flask.
Rakshasa is just an Alonne Knight who fell down the flight of stairs leading to the mausoleum.
love your stuff man congrads on 100k , always hella thorough
Apparently the way the rakshasa (and most talismans) works is by multiplying the damage you deal/take AFTER damage negation, so theorically it still have an actual debuff but just a very minor one
Thanks for the content grind youwy! we apperciate the daily vids👏
Divine Bird gives 4/3, so 7 stats in total. It also decreases healing by 9%, not 10, and boosts the Crucible Wings ash of war.
I know you’re only talking about effects but I think it’s important to add that the circlet of light has insane poise for weight for no reason
My new favorite channel. Very useful and informative videos
I don't always agree with him but he's always argumentative, great channel
It’s nice that they really leaned into special effect armor for the DLC.
Been watching your videos since Elden ring came out. It’s been cool to watch your channel grow. Congrats on 100k you deserve it❤
Bro was at 100k yesterday and at 106 today, so happy to see you get the growth and love you deserve my guy
Thank you for the awesome video! Been looking for a good updated armor sets w/ effects video! ❤
You're actually the goat man, so much informative content - I won't be missing any of your vids! Cheers!
Can you rank bosses' feet next that would be epic
Great video. Tons of good information here. Thanks
The grind is working out. Your channel's blowing up!
I enjoy how he always compares the numbers to what we already know. Like
“8% increase to finger sorceries” oh that’s not that good
“Which is the same as the Graven mass talisman” and I’m like that is good so that seems to be good aswell
you legend, exactly what I was looking for
Really useful tier list, thanks!
Awesome and helpful video as always!! 👏🏼🙏🏻
Thanks for doing these!!
Ur the go to man rn for showcases. Not many other people are as thorough as you are

Actually good and informative with no OP build clickbait. Awesome video bro! 🙏🏻
Awesome breakdown!
I like watching your videos for the entertainment but damn do I learn so much about this game from you - thanks for your content
You are on fire!! Thx !!!
I am so glad that we have your type of content. I was so tired of testing the Circlet of Light and not getting a damage boost for the Light of Miquella for the 100th time.😂
Youwy pumping out content with no rest
Tbh I had no idea Leda’s chest peice had any perks I just threw it on Bc of the drip thanks lol
Great video! Winged serpent helm also affects messmers assault btw
i dont know what it is, i never watched your vids before, and i already played through the dlc twice, so i more or less know everything there is to it cause i like to respec and try stuff, but man its so addicting watching you rank sht, i legit dunno why, but im watching every single vid start to finish
congrats these tier lists now occupy my lunch breaks 👍🏽
Something to note about helmets that reduce flask use, you can use the crimson seed talisman to remove the downside. It's useful if you use heirloom talismans for the +5 in a stat since some helmets give +6 and you get some boost from the crimson seed +1.
lol gotta respect the algorithm game with the thumbnail sporting Rivers Of Blood armor buffs lol. Gotta get those clicks, respect the hustle my guy. ❤❤❤
Its crazy because the watchful spirit spell one shot me multiple times during the fight with hornsent
Same with the enemy who uses rain of fire, in me The damage is wonderful, but when I use The Spell This skucks😂😂😂
@@lordofcinderdeathknight8438 the enemy who uses rain of fire barely ticked my hp, that's how I knew the spell was going to suck. Maybe I went there with a very high blessing level.

Drinking Game: Take a shot every time you hear the word: actually.
Good video! Very helpful. I wasn't aware of some of the bonuses highlighted.
This content swell going strong two + weeks after the dlc launch, this man cannot be stopped
Great stuff bro you should have millions of subs...
I love using the divine bird feathers incantation to finish someone off in PvP. Funny as hell.
I’ve read like 3 lists of all of the armor pieces in the DLC, and this is the first I’ve ever heard of the new imp head!
The fire knight helm is what got me to finally use the unaltered fire prelate set. Blends extremely well & id argue is better than moore's for tanking- though you always could just use the helm with moore's armor. When i got it on my 1st playthru (character w 80vig) & stacked as much hp equipment as i could, i got just shy of 3k hp. Bonus of the fire resist & focus being pretty damn high
The Rakshasa set does apply an actual debuff that increases damage taken, it shows the same icon in your buffs/debuffs as the Daedicar’s Woe talisman
There are a turtle... best intro ever
You are correct. The bear hat does look cool.
Youwy you are a true slim sigma :)
Youwy killing it lately
Really useful - perhaps for the next consider the consumable synergies - like the new Golden Vow consumable compared to the AoW and the Incantation. There are others now also creating perks, like the Sacred Blood one you farm from the Bloodfiends. Haven't tested myself but see some cool interactions with these new items.
8:51 there is actually cool looking mask for 3 arcane, that I use on my arcane character. I don’t remember the name in English, but it’s like that maniac with dools in Renni’s rise, his helm, but without the “hat” piece. You’re welcome
@@pedrolopez4910nah, the marais mask "only" gives 1 arc actually. Delfegor means the mask of confidence.
Damage boosts are multiplicative too, so the multiple damage bonuses from Raksashas set become much higher when combined with other talismans (like the Horned Warrior Talisman and Spear Talisman)
Thank you!
The rakshasha armour set makes you take increased damage while attacking from all sources. It stacks with the rakshasha blade, and it adds onto the existing pierce defence reduction that occurs during attacking.
I almost wish with how many different types of armor effects there are now that the alter garments could apply an armor skin on your equipped piece of armor. Would help with maximizing your build and with fashion.
a video talking about how to stack buffs would be appreciated!
Thiollier's Garb with the mimic helm helped me farm out all the SOTE rare drops.
Leda's chest piece + winged serpent helm + fire knight's greatsword with flame spear = amazing fashion and function
Winged serpent helm also works with messmer’s spear btw
I will say, the Thiollier set has been super useful for farming armor sets on characters that don't have a high arcane by default. Slap on the outer god talisman, Marika's soreseal, silver scarab charm, stuff like that. Though the silver tear head might be better for discovery by itself, but both armor pieces give you arcane so it's at least worth equipping the chest piece.
You didn't mention it, but the Winged Serpent Helm will also boost the damage on the Serpent Flail's explosion Ash (just the explosion, not the fire buff), and Messmer's spear huge combo Ash.
Great video only thing thatdalw it berter is of you had fhem in tier list that way ots easy to quickly look and see the most useful ones
The death knight set also boosts the lighting damage you receive when using vykes dragon blessing or whatever it’s called
there is no way you've gotten more than 4 hours of sleep each night when you're uploading at this pace lmao
Divine beast helm is good in a archer build using ansbarch bow and storm arrows, of course with both arrow stings talismans, shard of alexander and the talisman that the divine beast remembrance gives to you.
I'd be interested in thoughts on the boss fight or area designs. Watching your first playthrough, there was a lot of negative first impressions on certain things like the Gank Fight or the triple flower boss, or even just the tedium of the Furnace Golems, so would be nice to hear how/if your opinions on bosses changed after you experienced them more
Personally love using Raksasha set. It loooked bad ass. Just glad the whole taking more damage thing is from armor having lower stats and not from a seperate debuff.
Awesome video.
Love your vids😘
The reduced healing from flasks on certain armor pieces can be completely avoided if you go all in on blue flasks and heal using incantations like heal from afar.
Thiollier’s chest piece, altered and regular, is peak fashion souls
I still use the banished knight armor.. So good..
The rakshasa set is actually the exact same weight as the nights cavalry set so you can use that to see how much lower the damage negations are
Solitude armor deserved to make the list
The wolf head looks cool
Divine Bird Warrior Greaves increase to kick damage stacks with shattered stone and these both synergise with The Poison Flower Blooms Twice as its a kicking attack.
New upload just as im about to start eating 😈
The flower on a bald head made me burst out laughing
I've been using Moores set with a powerstanced colossal sword jump attack build enhanced with cragblade and having 100 poise lets me get off so many attacks before I'm staggered its insane.
I’m rocking messmers full set and rocking a fire build I love it even made my character look like him and it’s good in pvp to
Arcane boosting gear is always great for any build, it makes farming for drops a little easier because with everything equipped you get boosted to at minimum 32 Arcane (including Godrick's Great Rune a great farming tool late-game), and when farming for some of the stupidly rare drops boosting your item discovery as much as possible will make things easier.
Throwing on the:
1. Silver Tear Mask
2. Thiollier's Garb
3. Marika's Soreseal
4. Outer God Heirloom
5. Godrick's Great Rune
This grants you +25 Arcane, or +25 Item Discovery BEFORE you factor in the Silver Scarab Talisman or a Silver Pickled Foul Foot.
Factoring all of that in and ignoring the Silver Foul Foot since the build calculator doesn't account for that even the Vagabond starting class which starts with 7 Arcane and no points invested into it breaks 200 Item Discovery.
It seems I’ve forgot to mention that the Divine Beat helmets also give a boost to Dex as well as Strength. My bad
Since it also grants dex, would you change its placement?
you also left out outer gods talisman
I thought it downed the FP flasks and not the HP one maybe misread it, oh well that’s probably why healing seemed bad my first DLC playthrough where I wore it from the moment I got it
Folks need to remember that these helmets do not seem to effect healing incantations. They would have no downside for a faith heavy build focusing on healing incants, for example.
-80hp per flask for +4 str and +4 dex, and 5% storm skill boost? Abd also good defense? Honestly I think this is super worthy, since you have 15 flasks at all. This is in my Top 3 Head.
