A kiwi in Thailand, we have been in Thai for 4 weeks and bought a Toyota Revo Rocco from Buzz Toyota Minburi. The biggest show room I have ever seen, superb staff, actually magnificient, excellent deal…WOW! Free food and drinks in the waiting area, fully aircon, flowers, photos etc. So different to buying a car in NZ. Amazing Thailand.
Thanks for the great comment .. yes isn't it a breath of fresh air to be treated well when you're making a big purchase. Can really recommend getting front and rear safety cameras fitted by the dealer.
Congrats on your new Corolla. Safe travels🙏
Thanks 👍
I own a Cross as well! I love it!
It's certainly the best car we've owned .

How much is the car insurance for the year? And is there any annual road tax? What about inspections for roadworthiness - yearly?
Hi thanks for taking the time to post a comment. This is something we haven't had to do yet as we bought new and everything including a year of 1st class insurance was included. From what I've read cars over 5 years old need a road worthy every year which costs less than 300 bht to get. The road tax is 1200bht to 8000bht.
To go into the 3 levels of car insurance is a bit long to post here so I've found this page to help you out with the insurance question. thethaiger.com/motoring/car/guides/overview-for-purchasing-car-insurance-in-thailand/
I’m interested in buying that car in Thailand, can I ask how much you paid?
Hi thanks for taking the time to comment. The price you'll get from dealer to dealer will vary but here is a link that may help. www.toyota.co.th/en/quotation/
Does the Toyota Cross have enough power to pass on the highway, and when making a quick acceleration on a U-turn? Is the A/C strong enough for passengers in the back seats?
The car has plenty of power for our needs. It is the best driving (very responsive) and braking vehicle we have owned. The fuel economy is good at 5.1 litres per 100klm which is another first for us in a car. If you like a bit of extra get up and go throw it into power mode.
Thank you! That’s great info. Is the air conditioning strong for the back seat too? Some cars we were in the back seat and needed more A/C!
@@t.q.6639 seems to work adequately. What takes getting used to is having 80% tint on side windows and 60% full tint on the front screen. If you don't have it you'll be cooked
Price of car?
Hi thanks for asking.
Here's a link to the latest prices here in Thailand.

You get a red plate
No straight to a white plate on both vehicles
@@roadsandrevelations That’s unusual because I’ve never seen a new car in Thailand without a red plate how are they going to recognize the car on a speed camera don’t know what the police will say if they stop you I got a new fortuner gr sport and it was given a red plate at the dealership then I put a registration white plate on it 2 months later and give the red plate back to Toyota
I asked about red plates when we bought both new vehicles and was assured not to worry and there'd be no problems. I was given a letter by the respective dealers to produce for both car and bike if stopped it never happened. I drove the car and bike for just over 3 months without plates. Drove through checkpoints and have been followed by police. No problems whatsoever up here in Chiang Mai. Both vehicles were brand new maybe that had something to do with it.
