    Harley was the first person I met when I walked into a grow store, SGS on dawn ave. I remember the conversation with him was so enlightening; never undervalue any time with Harley. Man I had it good back then, I wish Dawn ave was still open like the good ol' days.

    So is this to say that the first 2 inputs into your res should be the calmag and then the aminos? Should they sit for awhile before adding the rest? What happens if you add the aminos after everything else?

    Serious question. Does it make it available for the "plant" or for the "microbes" in the soil? Seems confusing when you listen to people and they say "it makes it available to the plant" then others say "makes it available for the microbes". I assume it makes it available for the plant, but just want to make sure.

    2 questions. can omina be used during flowering? 2nd can full up and kelp be used into first few weeks of flower?

    • @NPKIndustries
      @NPKIndustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, OminA can be used in flowering. We recommend using full up and kelp all they was through flowering at the roots, but you may want to stop spraying kelp once you get into flowering, according to Harley. He is okay with spraying full up though.

    can this be used as Foilier spray to prevent powder mildew? thanks for your time in advance.

    • @NPKIndustries
      @NPKIndustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this mix is best used at the roots, but will still increase a plants resistance to diseases

    Any way to do this without using Calcium Nitrate? What other sources of calcium will work with this method? Blueberries will not tolerate nitrates being present even in small amounts, so calcium nitrate isn't an option. I've experimented with Calcium Acetate in the garden but that seems to *really disagree* with all of my plants! Maybe this can solve that particular issue?
    I have plenty of Calcium Oxide on hand but that is so alkaline that I dare not use it and I don't imagine that it would be good to mix with amino acids, either. Perhaps Calcium Phosphate, Sulfate, or Acetate instead? (those I can make myself) I really don't want to buy expensive 'Biomin' products if I can chelate my own calcium using these amino acids :)

    What kind of calcium is it.. oxidised or what?

  • @dawidstone3285

    Once it is chelated can I use the solution as a foliar spray? Say I mix calcium nitrate with the amino acids (tech grade)?

  • @sherric1004

    if the ominA is almost like cookie dough when you open the sealed packet, is it gone bad, or is it ok ? i noticed the ominA thst he dumped into gallon of water was powdery ? the stuff isnt all clumped together like the stuff i saw !

    • @NPKIndustries
      @NPKIndustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The original formulation of how we produced the ominA, had a tendency to absorb moisture from the air and clump into a cookie dough consistency. The product is still usable, just a little trickier to measure out. We've since re-formulated how we make that to where the clumping doesn't happen. We're working to make sure that anything on store shelves is good quality.

    • @DeuceVi2ion
      @DeuceVi2ion 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes if it’s not sealed right it will clump together wen moisture gets mixed in.. same thing. It will all dilute

  • @AutumnWolf13
    @AutumnWolf13 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So if I add the recommended 1/8 tsp of omniA per gallon of water, will that give me 14-0-0, or 1.75-0-0 (1/8 of 14)?

    • @NPKIndustries
      @NPKIndustries  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! The 14-0-0 NPK rating is as a dry powder. Diluted in water, it's much lower :) Also, that is an ammonium form of nitrogen, not a nitrate. Plants are forced to take up nitrates, but only take up ammonium if desired. Otherwise it's a great food source for beneficial bacteria :)

      If your local hydroponic/ specialty gardening store doesn't carry them, chances are they can special order for you. Otherwise, like JasonBrody368 says, the internet has a ton of retailers these days that have all sizes.

      I searched around, a few people have very inflated prices. Amazon seems to have the most constant price. I got the entire line in 2 oz to try, and I'm impressed how much I save overall. I use Jacks 3-2-1 and with the "spoon feed" method you really cant go wrong. I get 25 pound bags of Jacks Hydroponic 5-12-26 Calcium Nitrate at 15.5-0-0 Epsom salt, and spoon feed with the entire RAW line. I've dropped my overall PPM of my base nutrients by around 20% by adding next to nothing of the RAW line. Sometimes I seriously use their recommendation of say 1/8 Tsp/gallon in 5 gallons and its plenty.
