Thanks for hanging out with me today! I hope you enjoy today's video - Becky
have a blessed day my friend 💕
Hola Becky and friends ❤
I LOVE when you post long videos! You are so fun to watch. 😊
Your welcome. Watching your channel is very educational.
@@donnamcfarren3961I 💯% agree with you. This was a great episode from our girl Becky ❤😊
While I’m thinking of it, I just wanted to say that I am very glad you do not use background music. Most of the time I find that background music is just not my thing and very irritating. 👍
I also like that she turns down the volume on loud things like the blender 😊
Yes! I strongly dislike when there is background music, especially while the person is talking. It's ok during a sped up part or montage, but so distracting when they put music during the talking portion of the video.
I don't mind background music when done well, and sometimes it can make sense, but choosing not to do background music is great choice on Becky's part regardless. Navigating the legalities of music use, not to mention how easy it is for videos to get muted and/or demonetized even when a creator follows the rules, just makes it way too complicated for a small production like your typical TH-cam channel.
So happy for you I use to fix my meal in advance. It was called 5 dinners in one hour.
I agree I don't like back ground music either❤❤❤
Becky, I returned home a few weeks ago from my mission for my church early, due to some health problems and it’s been a bit rough. I’ve been watching your videos for years and they cheer me up so much. Especially when I am able to watch them with my dad. Your videos are better than HGTV or Food Network. Thank you so much for the time and effort that you put into your videos. They really do bring joy! Have a great week!
Praying for healing for you in Jesus name.❤
Everything the devil has planned for you I'm destroying! You are healed and walking in your healing and anointing! You are whole and healed by the Blood of our King!! I speak this over you! You are blessed and a blessing! Healing and wholeness in the name of King Jesus. Today and forever may your beautiful heart never be troubled again. 🙏
Welcome home Sister. Hope your health challenges are able to be addressed quickly and that all will be well. In the meantime, following Becky is a fun part of the day. No matter what age we are, we can always learn from one another.
Aw thanks so much for sharing with me. It's an honor my videos can help in anyway. I will be praying you get better soon :) Thanks for being here and being so supportive - Becky
@@AcreHomestead Thank you so much!
If all of the camera angles, links in video and sound is Josh’s contribution please tell him it adds such a professional touch! I am loving the enhancements. I loved your videos before but kudos on always looking for ways to grow your channel! Also these recipes look fabulous. Being a caregiver for my mom with Dementia and brother with Down Syndrome, freezer meals are a lifesaver! Thank you Becky and Josh!
❤❤❤
Wow you have a full plate...your family is lucky to have you ❤️
Beck you’re such an inspiration. I am 54 and was raised gardening and canning. My mother and grandmother would have huge preservation days from our 2 huge gardens together 3 acres. I am from knoxville Tennessee. You have put me back on the path of canning and preserving food. I use local farmer markets. Well I just want to say thank you and keep up the good work.
You go girl !! You are not the only one to get a Boost from Becky !
Oh yes I am dim Louisiana. Thank you Carolyn Brewster
Becky, You are amazing. My adult grandson make meals for senior citizens and delivers them every Sunday. He loves to cook so this is a great way for him to learn new skills and techniques. I am definitely going to hook him up with your channel. Many Blessings!
Since watching you I have seriously tried to stretch my culinary skills, have cooked up freezer meals and started growing some things in a few raised beds. My boys and parents love it because they get part of a lot of this since it's just me here at home. I always find a willing participant to test things out. Thanks for the motivation. 😊
The pumpkin coming out of the strainer? SO SATISFYING.
All it needs is asmr🤣
Hahaha I though the same thing!!!
As an ADHD sufferer in a family of others just like me, watching you cook like this is akin to watching a magic show. There's no way I could ever keep that many balls in the air without falling flat on my face. And how did you manage to perfectly portion out the layers of that lasagna without measuring and not ending up without tons of extra or not enough to finish the final layer?
You must be a wizard. That's the only possible explanation
I know, right??? I can't keep one meal straight much less 2-3-4!!!! Her organizational skill are AMAZING!!!!!!
I suspect she might also be nerodivergent. But her special interests are cooking and gardening. She has mentioned other parts of her life that weren't perfect before. But I suspect HIGHLY ORGANIZED makes her more like us, not less. 🥰
@@sam.nothanks Are you a doctor? Just because she's great at something doesn't give you free reign to label her. Your armchair diagnosis is so inappropriate. Becky is wonderful, living her best life, and doing what her heart desires. She is an inspiration.
I’m the opposite. This scratches my itch to make too many recipes and then forget I made them or have my tastes have completely changed by the time I go reach for them. My happy places are grocery curbside pick ups and my kitchen. My fiancè is deployed so I can no longer over feed him and his office nor use them like food guinea pigs aka trash cans as I usually take a nibble then become bored midway through my own meals. I wish I enjoyed art or some less wasteful creative hobby.🤦🏾♀️
@denishawalters1813 I've recently discovered that it's not nearly as easy as I thought it would be to give away excess food. There is almost always a labor shortage where I live, so everyone capable of working is working and earning more than enough to buy anything they need and most of what they want. Those unable to work don't need ingredients for meals. They need actual meals.
Something about the way you film these always makes me feel like I’m watching a food network cooking show. I used to love watching all those shows when I was young.
I agree. This is my version of The Fiod Network.
The pepper stickers 😂 Love the throwback, Becky. Some people get too stressed 😂 Thanks for the great meal ideas!
Haha, I was looking for someones comment about this 😂
I was wondering who got the lucky sticker. If you know, you know... You are too funny!
Thanks for some awesome recipes. Just a little tip for you...I have always use the regular lasagna noodles when making lasagna, I don't cook them, just use right out of the box. The sauce cooks the noodles and its perfect every time.
Tip for single people or couples: if a recipes calls for a 9x13 (6-8 servings) you can put it in two 8x8 (4 servings) pans. Make a single recipe and get 2 dinners. I also like doing this with recipes that use cans. If you half the recipe normally you might only have to use half a can now you can split it between 2 meals.
Hi Becky 👋🏼 I'm a Mum of three and work Mon- Fri as a school Nurse. I started watching your videos last year when I was prepping for my first body building show. I just wanted to say thank you - you have inspired me to start making more from scratch and helped to fall in love with cooking and baking again. I now spend Sunday's after Church trying to prep meals for the week ahead. Im lucky as my husband hunts all our meat 😊 I find your videos so therapeutic to watch. You are so admirable for growing and making your own meals - something I think we need to see more of! Take care and God bless you and your family x
So happy to watch you!! Home sick today 😢 but your videos make me happy. Thank you!!!
I hope you feel better soon! Happy to keep you company while you are resting :)
Becky, we always enjoy hanging out with you!! Thank you for being so personable!! We love you!!❤❤❤
Becky you are the sweetest. My husband and I love your videos. Your kind friendly personality makes us happy.
Hi Becky! I love these long videos! Can't wait for a garden update.
Excited for josh to be helping you full time! Not only for your sweet family but for your TH-cam family! I have asked questions on past videos (no responses) and I know it will be so helpful keeping up in future to have his help with your channel! I completely understand but would love to see more communication in future videos!
I must have missed this. Is Josh quitting his full time job to help Becky?
@@cathyscroggins1420yes they announced on their last live, last week that he is now working full time with Becky!
Is awesome that he is able to help her not only with videos , but now he gets to spend lots more time with the entire family .
Hey I use the excess chicken I cut off put in a pan and boil it and give it as a treat to the dog!! No waste… 😊
I just give the raw chicken to my dog. It's great for her coat
I had an awful, day. Woke up to no water in the house. The service people came within an hour, but it took 8 hours for them to diagnose, get the parts and fix the well pump and the bladder tank that holds the pressure. They’re cominnback and replacing the hot water system. Total cost over $10,000. Ouch! I just got out of the shower…..it’s 9:00pm… gloriously laying down and watching my favorite you tuber. Becky, you are such a sweet lady. You’re my daughter’s age, and I just love you.
Peace and joy to you and your family. Love from Maryland, Jeanne.
@thewhitehorsefarm hello! Fellow Marylander here! (I'm in Baltimore County.) I hope your plumbing woes are gone for good!
Oh, I hope everything went ok. Sorry about your water issue. I feel your pain. My 2002 vehicle went kaput and I had to buy a new car. I was hoping to get at least another year out of it but nope. I hate being forced to make unexpected expenditures, 😢. Bright blessings to you and yours.
Love your meal prep videos. I can’t wait to try the chicken lasagna. When I do the lasagna for future meals, I bake the entire casserole and put in refrigerator overnight. The next morning I easily cut into individual serving size and put in foodsaver bags. It’s the ultimate in convenience because you can take out as many servings as you need and just microwave on a plate each one!
You are the best!! We always looks forward to all of your videos!!! My 4 year old calls everything “Becky Videos”. 😂 (mom of a 4 year old and 2 year old) so the only TV time I get is Becky Videos. Time well spent. You have taught me so much from bread making to gardening. Forever thankful
Great meals! Here's an idea for your taquitos..... spray with a little avocado spray and cook in air fryer (or oven) until heated through, brown and crispy. Put on a plate and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, sliced avocados, sour cream, hot sauce and/or salsa. SO good. If making beef taquitos, heat them the same way, top with chili, cheese, diced red onions, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, sour cream and salsa.
Great ideas! Thank you!
Hi from rainy England. I have always used a different brand of lasagne sheets or any pasta. My local supermarket started selling Barilla about 2 years ago and I had never tried them. I run out of lasagne sheets and hubbie picked these up for me and I have never used anything else since. They cook to perfection they taste nice and I now have the entire range. You are one of those experimental cooks and I love that.
Try Cecco, if you (or your husband 😉) can find it..... . . 👍🏻
Happy Wednesday!! It’s Becky time 🎉
Sheeeeesh Becky you are on a roll! Love your channel ❤
2:17 "Before I woke up, I went ahead and I unloaded the dishwasher." That is some mad skills!!!
😂😂😂
Hello Becky. Because you put zucchini in EVERYTHING, I made a zucchini quiche.. Yum. Thank you for the inspiration. I love zucchini and now I have a quiche with zucchini and not just spinach...
Becky, you put a smile on my face. Every time. Keep up the amazing job you do.
Love your flower bouquets. Will you take us along when you put your next one together. Would love to see all your beds in bloom.
that green pepper sticker comment. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🫑🫑🔪
‘If you know, you know’. 🤣🤣.
Lol that was my favorite part 😂
I make no bake granola bars. Oats, flax, fruity milled linseed mix (it has freeze dried blueberries and raspberries in), sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, dried apricots, dried cranberries and sultanas. Mix well. Melt peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract together and mix into the oat mix. Spread into a lined baking dish, press down firmly and cover then leave in the fridge for a couple of hours minimum to set. I cut into bars and wrap individually in baking paper and store in an airtight container. You can add chocolate chips if you like.
I absolutely love watching your videos!❤ You make me feel like I can be productive at 61. Thank you for all the time you take to help and inspire all of us who watch you. May you and your family be blessed! ❤
i made freezer taquitos after seeing you do it, and they are a big hit! i used to make the meat and freeze it, then assemble them for taquitos or enchiladas on the night of, and by then i wouldn't feel like rolling them, so it would become layered enchiladas, or what we call "enchilasagna". having them already rolled is a game changer!
i found your channel when i was starting my garden, so i watched all the gardening videos, but i'm loving more and more the cooking and organizing. i watched your freezer and pantry organization, and that motivated me to do my freezers and pantry too. now you're making me want to go do a meal prep day.
I love watching you and your meal prep ideas. Handy tip for you: Marinade is a noun and is the actual liquid you put on your meats to "marinate"" (verb0. Hope that is helpful.
You're such a beautiful inspiration. Turning 57 on Monday and learning new and exciting skills from you. Thank you for all you do. ❤
Happy birthday, Gemma! 🎂🎁🎈
Thank you 🎉🎉❤
Happy Birthday to you.🎉
🍦🍡Happy birthday!🍡🍦
Woohoo, thank you😊 You guys made my day because I'm pretty much alone (it's me and my beautiful best friend Shipoo)
❤❤thank you for the birthday wishes!
What a great idea of using one marinade on different proteins! Time saver and different tastes/meals
Becky it, so smart today do these freezer meals. I can especially see if you have children that you may be running to their activities or your busy in the garden or maybe taking night classes this could be a huge time saver. I’m retired and I love doing these freezer meals and I don’t do any of that but I love knowing I don’t have to cook and clean every night. Plus when we have unexpected company I can easily cover that. Love your channel.
Hi Becky! Hope you're having a wonderful day!
I started unloading the dishwasher before I woke up :)
Haha, I caught that too, but then I thought about it... I mean, I'm not really awake before my caffeine, either! 😂
Caught that as well and chuckled and thought, "If only that could work..."
And made a pot of coffee, wish I was that much of a go-getter. Becky is so talented.(kidding-laughing with you)
I love these days when you make freezer meals. These all looked phenomenal!! Thank you for a great video, Becky, and hello 👋 to all the Acre Homestead community 😊
I think the recipe says to chill for 30 min before shaping. Once they are chilled I use my small scoop and just scoop them out like cookie dough. No shaping or rolling and they are perfect.
These big cooking days are my favorite kind of videos, Becky. You make this so approachable.
These are great today. I’m going to start cooking tomorrow after the grocery of course. Thanks Becky for your kindness sharing.
Hey Becky! I love your videos! You give me so much wonderful ideas in the kitchen!
For your Lasagna Noodles: Those that you have from Barilla are the ones you can typically buy in Europe. Barilla is a traditional italian brand that sells them even in italy! So you got really good quality with good ingredients and high standards in food production! Even if I have the option to buy cheaper Lasagna noodles here in Germany, that are produced in italy as well, I almost always buy the ones from Barilla since they have such a wonderful texture and are so easy to break apart to fit into the oven dish you want to use. This different texture is a sign of high quality and the sauce adheres to it better than to noodles/pasta which has a smooth texture!
Becky I LOVE your kitchen! Especially the big island and how you keep your flour and sugar in the drawer to have them handy. You make such yummy recipes and I love how you work smart not hard to get as much done with your time and effort as possible 👍 thank you for sharing your techniques and tricks with all of us. Have a great day!!!
Yay i Love freeze cooking days, just gives me SO MUCH inspiration ❤😍
I used my chicken carcass and made broth today, thanks Becky for the inspiration!
I also use those lasagna sheets .. I think they are fantastic !! I love all of these recipes , thank you Becky !! I also did your frozen garlic technique , I want to thank you for that too .. take care ❤️
I love your voice as you're talking through your videos. It helps me decompress while I'm making my own dinner for my family after a stressful day of keeping them from killing each other. Thank you 🙏🏻
parchment squares (made for separating burgers) are amazing for when your freezing things stacked :)
They sell them at Cash & Carry (I can't remember the new name of the store) and they come in an orange colored box....marked Patty Paper. Just don't expect them to be on the shelves during hunting season!
I get them at dollar tree usually
Becky that tired me out and I just watched you do it😂. You are an inspiration
Not only are the oven ready noodles delicious, but they are also thinner! Perfect!❤
Hi Becky. I'm a grandma from New Zealand, and love watching your videos. You've given me so many new recipes to try for my family, and so far they love the ones I've tried, so thanks heaps. Also, just watched you make the energy balls. I've made similar things before and had problems with them not sticking together well. sometimes a tiny bit more honey or peanut butter helps, but another way is to push the mixture into something like mini muffin tins or ice block moulds, and chill or freeze that way.
I half watched this while making dinner tonight. I decided that I needed to see it all, so I watched it a second time. Such yummy recipes!
Becky would love to see your drawer layout where you scooped out the oats and grabbed the onions. Looks like practical storage ideas for frequently used staples.
Hello Becky, Since watching you, I have re-decorated my kitchen with spices, sugar, flour, etc., and I feel so good when I'm cooking!! Thank you.
Hi Becky! I made those Middle Eastern Pitas you made. Instead of pomegranate molasses (which I also didn’t have) I saw to substitute with maple syrup and lemon juice. It was *delicious.* The little bit of sweetness takes it over the edge!
I love those zip lock bag holders thats an item that every kitchen needs❤❤❤
You always inspire me to get more done when I can. Especially in the summer, Texas heat and a hot kitchen are not fun. 😂
In our home we blend the garlic, cilantro, salt, cumin powder and olive oil. Then we freeze it in ice cube trays. Often times, that's all i need in my sauces. The whole house smells amazing. I hope you try it sometime 😊
I love watching your meal prep videos. I love getting inspired by your wonderful ideas.
I wanted to tell you that i did a breakfast Freezer day last month. I made freezer bagel sandwiches. bagels with egg & sausage or ham with cheese. I absolutely love it. I just set on counter to thaw and then store in the fridge. I microwave it for 30 seconds. They are marvelous. Thanks for all the cooking videos.
I love hanging out with you while I’m spending time in my own kitchen. Not only does it help me not feel “all alone slaving in this kitchen” 😂 but I ALWAYS learn something from you. Great meal preps! ❤
I would like to say that you have lit a fire under me. I am so excited to try batch cooking. All of my daughters are grown but still are at home. With 6 adults, 5 which take turns making dinner, I think this will be so helpful to us. I love the breakfast batch cooking you've done and the granola bars I will most definitely try. Thank you for making me feel like a mom again
I wish I had social media when I was your age. You inspire my younger self, but being alone and sixty, with a lot of health issues, I can only enjoy the visuals of what could have been. You are a true inspiration. Best wishes from Queensland, Australia. 😊❤️🙏🇦🇺
I enjoyed watching you put together your meals! I know it’s a lot of work, but such a time saver in the long run! Great job, Becky! ❤❤
Love your positivity and the way you clearly adore your family❤❤❤
I think your”taquitos” are called flautas when you use flour tortillas. Love when you do freezer meals! Thanks for sharing!
Taquitos and flautas are the same thing. They are both made with corn tortillas and fried. What she is making is a burrito. When she makes enchiladas she also uses flour tortillas. Those are not enchiladas. Enchiladas are made with corn tortillas. What she is making is burritos enchilada style. It just irks me when I see these TH-camrs getting this wrong. It's a pet peeve of mine. Although I love watching Becky it does irritate me when she gets this wrong. Don't come at me. I am not perfect either.
I believe you are correct. In mexican restaurants the flautas are with flour tortillas.
You’ve really inspired me to cook more meals for the freezer! It made me realize this is also how my grandma always has delicious homemade food at the ready. Thanks for making me excited to get cooking 🤩
Really enjoyed this video Becky. Thank you
Always looking forward to your videos.
Please try Portuguese cuisine and Moroccan cuisine. They are similar. Moroccan is more spice based and Portuguese food is more simple.
Love seeing everything you do
Yay my work day just got better!! We have a new Becky cooking upload!! 🎉💜🤍
As you were prepping the buttermilk fried chicken I started thinking about pickle brined fried chicken. This led me to your pickled red onions and the leftover brine as a potential brine for fried chicken. 🤯
You are strikingly good at what you do. ❤
With the ridiculous prices on lunch meats I’ve been making our own sandwich fillings…..I took a pork loin and cooked it in the instant pot….then I finely shredded it and put it in containers to pull out as needed…Last night it was the pork with cucumber Mayo for me and my husband had horseradish sauce on his Sammie. I’ve put BBQ sauce on some for a quick lunch , mixed it in Mac and cheese…it’s so nice to have pre cooked beef, or chicken or pork ready in the freezer….same with precooked hamburger that’s ready to add to any recipe.
My husband doesn’t eat breakfast so sometimes we have it for a weekend lunch or dinner. Having precooked bacon, sausage or ham frozen makes it easy to whip a meal out.
Often I’ll make veggie waffles using my dehydrated veggie powders…..and dehydrated eggs I keep in my freezer for quick add ins.
Try frozen hash browns cooked in a waffle iron then topped with meat and egg of choice and cheese.
I’ve been making myself Japanese veggie pancakes using eggs and veggies from the garden for a healthy lunch. At $10 lb for lunch meat that’s bad for you it makes me feel good about what I’m consuming. Frozen smoothies in pint mason jars are a quick treat or meal that saves time having it ready to set out for a little while to defrost….….like a milkshake
It must be nice to have a beautiful elegant meal immediately available when you want to take a meal to someone in need in your freezer.
Have you seen
Amanda on “This Crazy Life”? She made parfaits in Mason jars and used the individual fruit cups as part of her layered fruit, put the lid on the jars, then washed & dried her fruit cups and put her granola in the fruit cups and turned it upside down on top of the lids and screws on the jar lids and stores them in the fridge for on the go snacks or summer lunches.
I have used slices of butternut squash or pumpkin in place of pasta /noodle sheets when making lasagne x very nice. I love watching your channel x
Almond extract is my go-to for punch that is served with sweets. I’ve catered many weddings and punch works much better with sweet wedding cake when there is almond extract in the punch. I will have to try it with the granola.
Almond extract is my frosting secret ingredient when I ice sugar cookies. So good!
Hi Becky! I love your videos, so inspiring! That italian lasagna sheets are the original ones here in Italy, we don't use ones with ruffled sides 😊 And Barilla ones are so good! I love your recipes, and I Always love your freezer meals ideas 😊
I Love your comment on bell peppers!!!!
WOW! Thank you for sharing your dinner/meal preps! It’s so inspiring!❤
Tip for measuring sticky things like peanut butter: press the measuring cup or spoon down into your dry ingredients so it makes an indent the same size as the measuring cup, then fill the indent with peanut butter! Saves you the trouble of scraping out a goopy utensil :)
What a great idea thanks for sharing
I love your show I am a Vegetarian so this pumkin meal looks good. I would add some veggies. I learn a lot from you Garden, how to preserve the products God Bless Canada 🇨🇦
I’m vegetarian too. Wish there was more we could do freezer meal wise!
I use the stools in my kitchen now, like you did at the previous house. And so much more. You are a blessing😊
i love the idea about the toquitoes .so easy to make and a great on the go food! thanks so much and im diabetic and im going to use zero carb tortillas for mine, this is genius!
Wow, it's really good. It's very attractive and the AD is very interesting
Just found all the recipes. I should have known you were thorough ! Love watching!!!
The recipes all look 👀 🎉amazing 🎉
Wonderful, Becky! You inspire me.
I made the pumpkin lasagne but didn’t have pumpkin but did have loads of sweet potato and it was sooooo yummy, love watching you cook and garden , you’re an inspiration… thank you … from Melbourne Australia 👍🏼
Wow! So inspiring! Great job Becky! That reminds me - I have some dates in my fridge that need used up. One of my favorite energy bite recipes uses dates! Have a lovely week!
Seriously just love the way you do things and your transparency! ❤
I only used those Oven Ready noodles and my family & I love them! Love watching your videos Becky!! I’m all about the freezer meals with my 3 kids! ❤from WA
hint and time saver...because cutting boards must be cleaned thoroughly when chicken is used, I suggest you use cutting boards that can go in the dishwasher rather than wood. Wood is very porous and can trap all the nasties that could be in the chicken if not washed properly by hand.
Plastic cutting boards dull your knives, so it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other. 🤷🏻♀️
I agree, I just use the thin plastic ones and put them in the dishwasher.
@@user-mc3tp5sd2ztrue but i would rather have to sharpen my knife than risk illness
Everything looks so delicious! Thanks for such yummy food prep content. I always enjoy these videos. Just a little tip...If you take your natural peanut butter, empty the contents into a bowl, and mix it with your hand mixer, you will incorporate the oils nicely. Then just put it back into the original container and store it in the refrigerator. It should not separate again and will be the right consistency for whatever you choose to use it.
Becky, I enjoy your videos so very much!
I started using a paper towel to sop up the grease in my ground meats and I have never looked back.
Love your videos! All I have to do is watch a couple to get inspired!!
