I use Immersed with my Quest 2. It is still a work in progress as there are aspects that I still find a bit annoying.
    1. The resolution on the headset is just not quite high enough to comfortably handle a 1080p monitor. The screen either has to be too big for comfort in order to clearly make out small text or the text becomes a bit fuzzy making it difficult to comfortably view. Some workarounds are to work with 1280x900 monitors but that itself presents a few problems. Alternatively, scaling helps make the 1080p resolution more manageable.
    2. I've struggled to find a comfortable monitor layout that makes it easy to see all the screens at once without the resolution becoming a problem. I've seen some TH-cam videos on the subject, and so far the best solution to this seems to be a swivel chair with the keyboard and mouse sitting on a surface mounted over the armrests so they can swivel with you.
    3. I find it very hard to drink my coffee or tea with the headset on. This means I need to stop working for a while so I can enjoy a beverage. This is annoying, but can also be seen in a positive light as frequent breaks from staring at a screen is healthy.
    4. With the Quest 2 I find I need a few moments to align the sweet spot on the lenses with my eyes. This should not be a problem with the Pro and the better optics. I also notice blurriness in my peripheral vision or when looking to the sides as the lenses really only focus very well in the sweet spot due to the nature of the Fresnel lenses.
    5. Battery life was also an issue, and not wanting to have wires in the way I opted for the BoboVR M2 plus headstrap. The two batteries keep me going the whole day. I am not sure if there is a mod for the Quest Pro yet, but if not there will likely be some offering of this nature in the not too distant future.
Eye strain surprisingly was not an issue with me clocking 6 hours VR time in one session. Working from home the social aspect is definitely a plus and with Immersed's virtual webcam I can engage in meetings from within the app.
Also worth noting, Immersed is the only application supporting Windows, Mac and Linux. Although Linux support lacks virtual monitors I use a dummy HDMI plug to bring an additional monitor into Immersed and can in theory add more using the display ports available on my laptop.
I like where this is headed, but I suspect for a large portion of the population the downsides will be enough to persuade them to wait while VR products mature. However, I don't think we're far away from the average consumer comfortably working in VR.

Thank you for the thorough explanation! Have you tried using Sidequest to boost the resolution and see if that makes the monitors clearer?

I was a beta tester for the Oculos Go and I remember thinking that you could learn hands on learning of many different skills where it's all set up in front of you and whether it's computer hardware and learning how to install parts or cooking and learning how to be a chef or whatever your mind has. Just being placed in those realistic environments could really be great especially in like 3rd world countries that may not have access to great learning colleges and stuff they can learn it all at home with a VR device put in a learning enviornment.

how good is the keyboard mapping? I recall on the regular oculus quest 2 the virtual keyboard could make to the physical one so it's a 1:1 correlation with hand tracking.

For me right now all of the desktop bridging concepts are just too janky. Especially needing to grab a controller when hand tracking fails. Having issues with hand tracking and controller laser pointer stability. There is one which kinda trancends all the others but I don't think there is any release or anything yet. Working in vr is a whole new system too. Still a bunch of learning curve
