The most difficult things about being an INTP in my opinion, are having an incredibly low tolerance for stupidity and incompetence, and the perfectionism and fear of failure.
Having a low tolerance for stupidity means that I get frustrated talking to most people rather quickly.
The perfectionism and fear of failure are completely crippling and are the reason I am in a craptastic, mostly pointless, boring as hell, dead end job but am too afraid to quit and pursue my dreams. (not that I have any dreams... I'm too depressed to have dreams anymore!)
Accurate, life is pain. The worst struggles for me are the loneliness even though im not alone, not knowing where to go in life with certainty, the horrible world that i have to deal with. Why was i born, i don't like it, i would like to return it and get a refund.
I completely agree with you And if you do find a place for a refund i'll take one too please, being an INTP is about the coolest worst thing that ever happened to me I finally found I could explain to certain friends or acquaintances what kind of a nut case I really am With a bowl and a pretty little package so others can say ohh that's what's wrong and then I return back to my home and get lost in my head again it certainly is nice to read others comments I didn't know these things were here
I hear you, and it sounds like you're grappling with some deeply existential questions, which can indeed be isolating and overwhelming. These feelings are more common than you might think, especially in a world that often feels chaotic. Finding purpose or direction is a journey that often includes these moments of doubt. If you're up for it, I'd love to explore ideas or philosophies that might offer some comfort or alternative perspectives. And remember, it's also okay to seek support during these times.
😂😂😂 don't go, I tried ... But they instead showed me their no refund policy board 😅
Life is a test! Emotions ebb and flow especially for us introverts and Over thinking and looking into the future are my main sources of stress. 😂 I need use exercise as a healthy reset when I get stuck in my own head . The world is not sane but we can stay sane by only trying to affect the things that are within our control. This video was a great explanation ! Let me know if you need to chat ? 😅
This reminds me of that Meatloaf song "Life is a Lemon and I want my Money Back"🤣
I laugh and listen to songs like that to help keep myself from getting too depressed.
Life does suck. People always seem to be mean for literally no reason. And they are always being stupidly irrational
As an INTP myself, what I have learnt is that INTPs need these 3 solutions on a priority :
1. Maintain a strict routine daily with a fixed time for sleeping and waking up. Have a written timetable with timelines.
2. Allot just 1 hour for planning and analysis daily and spend the rest of the time in executing those plans. In short think less do more.
3. Avoid people who leech your energy and are negative. Surround yourself with functional people who are optimistic and value you.
Thanks for sharing!
Are you sure you are INTP and not INTJ?
INTPs usually don't do plans, they go with the flow.
I am an INTP. I struggle with all of these, except loneliness. I'm fine alone. But when I have something I want someone to hear, but know that no one else will care as much as I do, I do then feel lonely. And suppress that soon after.
Leaving this here as a reminder for future me: 5:25 - 5:44.
I struggle a lot with #4! Since high school when I realized I had no dreams, no plans for a career...
Small talk? I would rather die.
I like the idea you listed steps to work around the traits, not just listing them
Hell is Other People. The INTP isn’t Misanthropic, however they just want to really be left alone most of the time
My Passion is learning new things 😜
Conversations can be adventurous. There’s no questioning too dark or concept too taboo that I won’t slip into like a pair of comfy slippers. Talk to me about the weather and I’m bored, very bored.
Life does not suck an an INTP.
...except when you're at a seminar and they want you to split up into small groups and so something. Ugh
Haha, that scenario sounds challenging but also relatable for a lot of people. Those moments of forced group activities can definitely push comfort zones. How do you usually navigate situations like that, given the analytical strengths of being an INTP?
1:38 “I and tpz” this hurts me physically and mentally
Simple typo :) thank you for mentioning
It's the worst of all. Lazy, indecisive, socially awkward.
Legit!
I'm an INTP and all of these things are things I struggle with. It does make my life suck lol.
It sounds like you're carrying some heavy stuff, and it's brave to acknowledge your struggles. Remember, your self-awareness is a powerful step towards growth. Have you found any strategies that make coping with these challenges a bit easier?
I'm INTP and this resonate except with being non confrontational.
Thanks.
I can use a number of these insightful tips!
Glad it was helpful!
All the thinking makes you live inside your head, you gotta relax sometimes and go out as scary as that sounds.
I overthink and sometimes literally cant finish what i started because of analysis paralysis
Absolutely understand where you're coming from! Overthinking can indeed lead to being stuck in analysis paralysis. Here are a few concise tips that might help:
Break tasks into smaller parts to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Set clear, short time limits for decisions to prevent over-analyzing.
Accept that 'good enough' is okay. Perfection isn’t practical.
Practice mindfulness to ease anxiety and clear your thought process.
Discuss your thoughts with someone to gain a new perspective.
Remember, it's all about making progress, not achieving perfection. Each step, no matter how small, is valuable. Keep going!
literally me
I’ve taken the test more than once and all times came out I NTP but I don’t not feel like I am intelligent so what’s with that?
Life sucks, we're all gonna die anyways
why life sucks even more as an INFP, INTP, INTJ, INFJ
Because the world isn't built for us
I see a lot of INTPs in the comments who really don't seem to understand interpersonal communication very well.
I don’t think Einstein or Newton took the MBTI.
Absolutely true, they didn't! It raises an interesting point about how we interpret historical figures through modern lenses. If they had taken it, what types do you think they might have been, based on what we know about their personalities and habits?
@@theintrovertworld I think the conception of Newton as an INTJ comes from the popular story that an apple fell on his head and he discovered gravity. He didn't do what 99.99999999999999% percent of people would have done if an apple fell on their head, which would be to curse their misfortune and move on with their lives. He became obsessed with why the apple fell on his head. What subtle, invisible forces unknown to man and beyond the perception of ordinary people had created such movement? INTJs are known for their intuition about the unknown and fixation on patterns and predictions, so I think it fits.
Not too sure about Einstein. He sure loved the public spotlight. He was basically the Bill Nye, or Neil Degrasse Tyson of his time. He got way too much credit for the theory of relativity. Which many other scientists who were never acknowledged contributed a great deal to. Hard to say why he's typed as an INTP. I guess because he was famous for having a messy house, and acting like a space cadet lol
Such a good video I like it
I'm glad you like it
Life sucked the most for intps the first 20-25 years then it sort of evens out... I have yet to see an upswing outside of money increase which should happen to anyone building a career so I don't count that.
❤️
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Isaac Newton stricks me as an INTJ
I found happiness in drugs.
Temporary comfort, not happiness.
Drugs are euthanasia.
placebo
Distraction not solution
@@looperbirhinger7043Yeah it was a joke. Thought it’d be obvious on an INTP related comment section. But of course not. Luckily I have drugs to erase my immeasurable dissatisfaction from these responses.
@@theDiReW0lf Sir, I myself am a fan of self-medication, per se.
Newton was an intj...
