I'm 40 years intp man, and I'm sick of everything, I've diversity of experience and planning to change my career, town, house and remarry again and have more kids. I changed my life 3 times already. Kind of lost 💪
I feel ya❤ same here. A lot of half expertise in many fields. Can talk in depth about anything. But often feel like going all in into something is freaking boring and waste of time (so many interesting stuff to learn around😂)
Creative INTP: Chronic job hopper, always scheming ways to monetize hobbies. On the path to financial freedom while not compromising on my values/flexible lifestyle. Currently: math tutor / content creator / landlord
It was very hard growing up INTP hearing the phrase " you can be anything you put your mind to" early on I heard I can be EVERYTHING!!! After 30 years of drifting jobs, divorce, and continual frustration to be "EVERYTHING", I had to conclude that I had to narrow my scope and focus to something specific area I have a great interest in and dive in 100%.
100% INTP. I think I'm predominantly a Harmonizing subtype, but looking at my history I cycle through all the subtypes. In highschool, my interests were split between math, computer, and fine arts. I studied Computer Science in university, and developed a career in IT Support. Meanwhile, I trained in karate, earned my 4th degree black belt, and started my own dojo. I was successful as an instructor, but not as a business owner. I later got back to IT support and added consulting to my portfolio. Lately, I've been playing with resin casting as a hobby. I've told a few people in different conversations that I'm a great #2, but not a good #1. Well meaning people say I'm downplaying myself when I say that, but they don't get where I'm coming from. So it was very validating when you talked about INTP being ok with leading, but not wanting that role. Great podcast! Thank you!
I followed a similar path, but left tech because of the subculture at Microsoft...I hated working there with all of my being and learned at 22 that heart attacks and panic attacks feel similar. I went on to be really good at my chosen field, which was pest control of all things (because I worked alone for the most part). I got jaded with that, and Covid hit and now I am back in tech, but under my lead, and I am making actual things I am passionate about that also serve a function for others. I learned how to push myself and also to switch gears when I get bored of what I start, all while keeping the initial passion warm on the back burner.
I used to be a creative/dominant seeking INTP pilot for 10 years. But life circumstances pushed me into being a harmonizing/normalizing INTP working a behind the scenes job for an airline.
I'm a Creative INTP - and in fact have been an investigative Jounalist, and an Archeologist with my PhD in Archaeology and have worked in several of the other roles on your list for this subtype. I have turned my hobbies into my careers just as described - I'm a professional writer and writing was my hobby, so was archaeology and my specific interest is becoming my new career. Yeah, good stuff guys - this is pretty dead on.
I've been waiting for this one! I am a normalizing INTP, and unsurprisingly, I am a supply chain planning analyst. I didn't always love my job- those years of building expertise were hellish- but now I have enough expertise to make connections and fix broken systems and I love it. The positive feedback loop of making life better for people by making organizations run more efficiently is awesome.
I think I'm a harmonizing INTP. I first typed as an INFP in high school. My jobs have always been around people, sometimes to my chagrin. Currently looking for my next job after being furloughed.
Although engineer seems like the right pick for an INTP, for a creative INTP it is very difficult, because technical spaces are filled with norms and standards & people who like that. Luckily I've found a place that was more of a playing field for inventors & I think it is very likely most of my collegues had the same wiring. Unfortunately I had to move, still not sure what to do for work exactly. I rather do some creative machining/wood working/psychology/gardening than engineering within norms and standards. Maybe the best short description of what drives me is ''someone who finds joy in finding the most creative and best solutions for unsolveable problems.''
i think I'm the same as you. I've tried engineering and anything very technical but it was really stressful. on other hand, I find myself really engaging with anything doing with hands especially when I hold scissors, my creative ideas for DIY craft projects just pop in easily.
Great Video! I am an INTP, and I think just by listening to your description I am a mishmash of creative/ Harmonizing types. I have an associates in electronics. Trade type school is all I could muster because back then I knew I would be arguing with college professors all the time. I just wouldn't be able to write papers based on the lies that are sold in out education system. So after a brief stint in the Air Force and several minor jobs I ended up hiring on with AT&T. It was good pay. Not very inspiring but the money made good for my hobbies (computer programming and music). I worked for them for Twenty Three years. In the last seven years disaster struck on a personal level. In fact I will compress that to the last three years of that Twenty Three. My wife of Twenty Eight years died of cancer. A year later to within three weeks my Dad died of slip and fall. This all began by the way in February of 2020, that period when the world went surreal. A couple weeks after my Dad died my favorite aunt took the vax and was dead four days later. So then comes my company saying everyone has to take the vax or not stay there. I think I was at my wits end at that point. I think I had an underlying rage at the world. Everything in my life had turned into some kind of surreal nightmare. So I left AT&T along with leaving a half a million dollar pension on the table (because I needed two more years for that). So at (now) Fifty four I am starting all over and seeking something I can enjoy and make money at. I moved to the middle of nowhere in West Texas to get away from the city. And there are no jobs out here that pay anything much. It maybe wasn't a smart move on my part but I thought I could find or make something online. I just didn't realize how much I was messed up from losing my wife. Only this month (July 7th) I had some sort of breakthrough. I the space of 24 hours it was as if the weight of the world was lifted from my shoulders. It was incredible. I knew the weight was there but I couldn't find a way to process it. And then after all that time in the middle of the night I wake up and start sobbing. I just couldn't stop. for thirty minutes this went on. But it wasn't sadness. It was relief and gratitude. I could feel it was gone and I was/am so thankful. I still have the sadness when I think about the losses but it no longer encompasses my world. I wonder what the world would be like if everyone could have their burdens relieved like this. So I am very upbeat now (although a bit nervous with no income), and looking for what is next. Interestingly enough I have always been great at talking to people one on one. And it surprises me because they seem to be able to tell me very personal things without me knowing them hardly any time at all. That has happened so many times in my life I can't remember them all. So your video makes me think I should go after something in that vein. But I suppose that would be more college that I don't have. And money that I don't have now. Anyway you said to tell our stories. There is mine. If you need a INTP for anything that can be done online, I am available. Cheers.
@@happytobehere1111 That is my issue now also. I think a lot of it stems from always being an employee. I feel so betrayed by the world and the system we live in. I really don't want to participate in it any more. But if I don't they will take everything I have. I did manage to cash in everything and buy an old house. It ain't much but it's livable. But I can't just shut of because property taxes are thru the roof. So the current slave masters crack their whip that way. I really just want to play my music and try and scratch out a living that way but the system keeps you locked in. So I have problems with that even. I love doing it, but I have no faith in being financially successful with it. Music is a hard field to make good money in anyway. So I don't know yet what I will do. But it will have to be something by the end of the year. Tax man says so.
Thanks for telling your story and I'm so sorry for your losses,... glad you had that weight lifted off finally in the middle of the night like that. How's it going? Did you find something to pursue? I just turned 43, still doing bookwork/admin from home raising 4 kids and also trying to figure out what to do for a career, now that my youngest is old enough to stay home alone sometimes. Based on this video I best fit the creative INTP subcategory, maybe with a bit of harmonizing in there. I just recently became interested in watching storm/tornado chases, wanting to try that and possibly study meteorology. I'm worried that I'll spend a ton of time on that, make very little money, and then in a couple years switch to some new interest like I always do. A few years ago I wanted to pursue permaculture design...every few years before I was studying something completely different, and now meteorology? I feel like I don't have enough time left to study all the things I'll want to learn about and don't want to box myself into one career path. I guess that's just a symptom of our type!
Great Presentation! How fun, it fits moi. A 25 year career as a crisis MH consultant and evaluator. Have used and experienced all four work styles at various times in my career. Retired and blogging about helping folks learn how to change. Now primarily working in the "harmony" style.
You guys clearly showed me overall I am harmonizing. Wow I have been trying to figure this out off and on for 5 years. Which explains why as a pilot I had my most success as a flight instructor. More one to one people based. I may be a flight instructor again here in Nova Scotia, 🇨🇦.
Ok, this was fascinating! I am INTP and I identified a little bit with the creative type, but I float between all the different types based in the needs at the moment. I have been very disappointed, though, because you didn't mention Paramedic. I have been a paramedic for more than 2 decades, and use data, and matrices, and, often techniques you described in harmonizing. What most people miss is that you *can't* be empathetic, as a paramedic, you must be compassionate, but have to be separate and analytical when chaos is happening.
Thanks for mentioning that! I've been interested in being a paramedic at times...not sure if I would enjoy it though. I just don't know how I could handle seeing dead people (especially kids) in car accidents, etc, being a parent already struggling with insomnia...I imagine it would keep me up at night.
So: I am an INTP, and had a quite harsh time to stabilize with this small thign called "job". Nowadays, I have created a new approach to my whole market enviroment, bringing intelligence and analysis to the field and helping companies to function better...
I am a dominant INTP and I am fascinated by this. I spent a lot of time doubting my “intpeeness” because I tend to be more dominant and argumentative when I am certain about a topic. I didn’t match much the stereotype. I can take leadership whenever I notice it’s needed (because I can’t stand lack of coordination) even though I prefer not to. I recently graduated with a degree in stats with emphasis in decision sciences, and I have been dreaming with a career as an “advisor”. Have been applying for positions on policy analysis data science etc. it’s so cool to see how accurate this is and get some validation that I am on the right path utilizing my strengths. Thank you!!!
I have mistyped myself as INFJ. Now I think I am a harmonizing INTP. I do look for the need to fill in a room, which no one yet knows is required. It's like solving a puzzle for me. It requires a certain comfort to be yourself though. And I am studying to be a life coach , having had a 20yr plus career in accounting and finance analyst/partner. I also love the people aspect in the partnership roles.
According to Gulenko here is the cognitive focus of each subtype: Dominant: Te, Fe, & some Se Creative: Ne, Se, & some Fe Normalizing: Ti, Fi, & some Si Harmonizing: Si, Ni & some Fi
You just nailed it when you said that we want to align ourselves with an organization that matches our values and allows us to use our minds for good but let someone else handle the details of execution!
Spot on. I'm a creative INTP and work as a Mineral Exploration Geologist. I find the gathering and interpreting data part of the job awesome, but the part relating to the company can be excruciating. I mean, you have to pretend to be part of a "big family" and attend lots of boring and unnecessary meetings and all. I prefer to be at the field with all my rocks. (Plus, I do wish that I could use all of my gaming and anime expertise at the job 😂). Sometimes, I think about being a (pt-eng) translator. Maybe I could translate scientific texts or something 🤔
This video is so enlightening. I feel like one of my struggles has been that I and the people around me have been trying to push me into the normalizing box my whole life when I fit the creative box better
Because the creative type is just an eccentric adhd disabled dominant/normalizing type that doesn't get anything done. I dont see anything useful/positive in this subtype
The video being mostly in grey made watching so much more bearable. I could focus more on the speakers and the audio. I love colour but there's fewer "unavoidable" distractions this way.
As a creative INTP with high openness (90th percentile) and going through a mid 30's career transition, this was absolutely fascinating and useful! As a side note the career I am transitioning into combines ethnography, futurism and user experience research. So not only fascinating and useful but also reaffirming. Thank you for taking the time to put this information together and present it. Liked and subscribed and looking forward to absorbing more content.
@@choudewan8919 I work in design research in a university, the field increasingly focuses on collaborative ways of understanding people and combines theoretical and practical. For example if you wanted to reduce waiting lists in hospitals you would both analyse the available data before designing activities where the end users could participate in generating ideas
I would like an Ilintp list of careers that don't require Insane amounts of education .. Not all of us have or had the privilege of being able to be in school all day , Nor were raised that environment where education was looked upon
I also was raised in an environment that actively discouraged furthering my education. I've had to put my career together via bubble gum and popsicle sticks. It's not easy going this route, but I've found that projects and experience trump education (unless it's a field that requires doctorates, etc...). It can be very discouraging, but in the old adage: Where there's a will, there's a way. Good luck to you. -Antonia
For anyone not sure about mistyping, the official MBTI tells you the mindset you’re supposed to have when you take the test. Basically if you have 2 options that both sound good, if everything was fine in your life which would you choose? You can search on their site or on google for the exact words they use, but a lot of people don’t know this is the big difference between the tests. I took the test maybe 8 times once I typed as INTJ and another time as ESTP. These were after significant changes in my life which made me view the test differently. I took the official one last and I was back to my regular INTP.
I got INFJ the first time I took the test. The 2nd and 3rd go I got INTP. I am a Harmonizer. I have recently applied to start an Occupational Therapy Assistant program. I also read books on Special Education and Autism. My youngest child is on the Spectrum and I would like to homeschool him by the time he gets to middle school. I am currently in Sales. It is not motivating for me and has been a job I've had to stay in out of necessity for my family. My 2 sons have two different fathers. Both are analytical thinkers and have interest in tech. One of them is in cybersecurity. I've had people at my job tell me I should be a trainer since I find ways to pass on resources to others and help them when they run into issues with their orders.
I did the test for the 3rd time some days ago, and on the 2nd time I actually got INFJ because I was on a period of my life of helping some friends out with their problems update: I actually understand now that I'm indeed INFJ. The reason I identified myself with INTP so deeply is because my social life was very unhealthy, and I was stuck in a Ni-Ti loop (so I was using more Ti than I should)
as a "stable" INTP I also help my friends with problems such as addictions, lack of physical activity, self-cope, self-hatred, but I do it with barely any Fe/Fi; basically by being the optimistic, tranquil, happy self around them (non-judgmental companionship) + letting them verbally release their fears, irrational reasonings, destructive beliefs + showing them alternatives but letting them take the lead
I can relate to the Harmonizing subtype of an INTP I wanted to become a Clinical Psychologist since I was a teenager I took Psychology through correspondent got my certificate I couldn't continue any further for financial reasons love the advise right on the nail for Harmonizing subtype of an INTP
Thx for years of amazing content. You mention potential links to brain chemistry. I’d be interested if things like ADD and/or medication like Adderall showed a correlation with these subtypes. I’m an ADD INTP, and when I’m on a stimulant medication, I’m very much a dominant intp. But when I’m not on a stimulant med, very much a creative intp. . Fascinating stuff. Thanks again for years of great mental crack!
Great presentation! I could very well be a harmonizing intp. I am, however, unsure how much can be inferred from the preferred hormone; I'm blessed with a very masculine body type. Does this preclude an estrogene preference? Or is it unrelated to stereotypical male/female body morfologies?
A travel writer would be great for an Intp who is creative however I think that career is predominantly Isfp haha combine that wit data science n u have a great path for an Intp n then Later a Intp venture into Infrastructure and then become a Enterprise Architect now u have a Intp who is wholesome
I'm a 40 year old INTP in my first semester of grad school working towards a master's in Mental Health Counseling. I'm two minutes into this video and I'm looking forward to hearing what a poor decision I've made.
I’m a creative intp slowly turning to a dominant intp because I’m studying to become a marketing strategist but to be honest I might just become an entrepreneur and start selling courses. I think I like teaching things I’m confident in.
I always wanted to be an engineer as a kid. CAD fascinated me. I have a job as an Automation Design Engineer. It's like adult Legos with higher stakes. I think I'm a dominant type but I also identify with many of the creative characteristics. It's funny watching your video because I'm a team leader under the manager haha. I get myself in trouble sometimes with my harsh truths. I'm working on it.
This was really interesting. I could identify with aspects of all 4 sub-types, but the Dominant and Harmonizing subtypes have been more aspects of myself that I've developed over time to more effectively handle decision making and working with other people effectively more than areas I've naturally gravitated towards. Interestingly, I could relate to the Creative and Normalizing subtypes pretty equally, which seems contradictory, but it really depends on the nature of the work and my relation to it. Depending on the subject area I find that my interest can be more on the creative side or the normalizing side.
Interestingly I've been considering TH-cam as a platform, and will be looking at platform options because I am transitioning I to an 'archaeological' type career.
Idk I see a lot of crossover for myself as an INTP who’s more action oriented because of the Marine Corps, I feel so burnt out and procrastinating. But I’m a Machinist and I like making and figuring out how the parts work together. It lets me make the things to see if my theory carried out into reality. I can do most stuff really good so I have a hard time specializing into something but I think I finally chose my core hobby / money maker . I can do CnC programming it I just enjoy the first off process to see if I can fix what is supposedly impossible. Machining on a lathe or mill is fun sometimes I feel like I might be istp but INTP always resonates far stronger.
Whenever I hear the story of the subtype versus variant name, part of my brain goes “Just use the more accurate term. Who cares how people feel about it?” I keep having to remind myself that other people don’t think like that… sorry. Dario Nardi’s book has been helpful at confirming my thoughts about my type. I believe INTP is my best-fit and I relate to all four INTP subtypes to varying extents. I most relate to the Normalizing subtype. I’ve always felt too weird to be normal, but too normal to be the stereotypical eclectic weirdo. I would call myself dutiful when it comes to my work life. Oddly the one I would rank second is Harmonizing. I would not call myself a Harmonizing INTP as doubt I have the full diamonds, but I believe he mentioned the partial diamonds in some talks. I’ve definitely have had to adapt some social tools to deal with some of my extended family’s antics. Third and forth are a bit of a toss-up between Creative and Dominant. I currently relate a bit more to Creative’s breadth of interests, but I realistically see myself stepping into a Dominant mode as I eventually progress into a leadership role in my career. With my uncertainty about MBTI assuaged, I guess next I should look more into Enneagram!
You guys are wrong about 1 point. According to Gulenko Dominants actually mate best with Normalizers. And Creatives mate best with harmonizers in romantic relationships. I condensed Gulenko's view of intertype relationships between the DCNH types directly from his book "64 types" here: I. Symmetric-attractive (complementary duality): D-N & C-H - Have a harmonizing or soothing nature, similar to duality between core types. - Initially difficult, but partners increasingly begin to appreciate the advantages of each opposing role. - Become stronger in tough living conditions. - Provide physical compatibility (life, everyday communication, and intimate relationships). 2. Symmetric repulsive: Identical subtypes -Creative competition initially causes a mutual elevation, but eventually growing differences and mutual disappointment begins. -Serious testing of each other’s strengths begins that undercuts the relationship - Useful for shoulder-to-shoulder effort, training, innovation within a given field, mentoring children, personal development, improving awareness. 3. Asymmetric attractive (Beneficiary): D nudges C that nudges N that nudges H that nudges D to drive group dynamics. - Most suitable for social activity, intensive work, and overall expansion. 4. Asymmetric repulsive (Supervision): D audits H that audits N that impedes and corrects C that overrides D. - One-sided braking to correct errors. - Create psychological stability - Balance dreams and reality. - Best suited for friendship and education
The compatibility model we reference is based on Dr Helen Fishers work with hormones/neurotransmitters. She posits that Testosterone/Estrogen users are most compatible, while Dopamines tend to like Dopamines and Serotonins tend to like Serotonins. -Antonia
@Personalityhacker Good to know. I think it probably depends more on the person as well as type. As demonstrated by Socionics Duality. Where an INFJ's Dual is an ESTP. And an INFP's Dual is an ESTJ. Clearly, ESTPs have a lot more testosterone than ESTJs. INFJs want to tame masculinity. And are not afraid of seeing dsplays of violent outbursts as they do it. But INFPs are very afraid of too many masculine outbursts. Which is why ESTPs are their conflict type. This is why I think Belle, from Beauty in the Beast, started out as an INFP when dealing with ESTP Gaston. But became an INFJ when dealing with the angry outbursts of the Beast. Which is why I don't like typing fictional characters as they can be changed at will.
As intp singer/graphic designer I could relate it does take time when you want to express or understanding our emotions/ sensetive side for us is internal not external it's werid but it make sense 🤔🙁
I am a creative INTP, this has given me a lot of perspective because I’ve been struggling with my work life. ( I do administration work and it’s boring and unfulfilling) I’m in my mid 20s and know I have a whole life ahead but anyways, any tips on jobs / careers from others who were once in my shoes is greatly appreciated!!
I can relate to the creative and the harmonizing subtypes but lean more towards the creative. It's been very difficult to stick with one job and make it interesting enough. I tend to think so much about the end result that I don't get anything done and then it tends to bore the hell out of me 😅. I am drawn to creating artwork and selling it as well as doing tarot readings. I'm trying to be consistent with making money from these outlets because they interest me the most, yet there's still that explorer within me that just wants to dabble in random things/topics which can leave me extremely debilitated and unmotivated in the end. Great video/podcast! Thanks for this it's helped me understand a bit more in depth about my type/subtype. 💜
Fascinating, so it would seem I'm a harmonizing INTP; I mistyped myself as an INFP before I knew of cognitive functions and while I was going through a fairly hard time. And according to the big five, I'm also slightly above average in compassion, politeness and agreeableness for a man. While I'm interested in virtually everything, I spend most of my time studying philosophy, psychology and religion. PS: at 29 it seems I'm considerably younger than most of the harmonizing subtype, but I believe that might be a consequence of my being the eldest of 14 and having needed to have taken some responsibility for their welfare.
I am an INTP. Harmonizer seems to be my subtype. On the Big 5 I score highest on Agreeableness and very low on Openness. I wonder if there is a connection. High Openness indicates creativity. I wonder if Creative subtypes are high Openness on the Big 5? Just noting there might be a connection.
I find myself in the normalizing INTP camp, so I would add to the list at 39:20 the software architect. Yes, the architect was mentioned, and computer programmer also. Details, I guess, but yeah, interesting podcast.
Ok, i appreciate the effort to distinguish between Harmonizing INTP and INFJ towards the end, but the distinction between a Harmonizing INTP and a Creative INFJ is REALLY hard for me to see... can anyone help me out with this?
Even when adding the concept of subtypes, one has to be very clear on one's preferred functions. Introverted Intuition (the preferred cognitive function of INFJs) and Introverted Thinking (the preferred function of INTPs) are very different. I'd recommend listening to some of our podcast videos talking about these functions. -Antonia
Were they going to link to some Nardi materials for further reading? Espec explaining more what it means to be have Analytical Ne? Even better, how "Ne-a" compares and contrasts to Ni?
We did, but the online bookstore where he was offering his materials shut down. We're waiting for the new link. As soon as we have it, you have it! :) -Antonia
@44:20 She goes to say, “They’ve got that diamond shaped patterning.” But first, she says, “They’ve got that dank.” I wonder if that was a Freudian slip 🤣 Yes, we’ve got that dank 😎
However, you have to keep in mind that I am a balanced INTP, and social one; alongside with living in Brazil, and work in something only Brazil has on this scale: recreation.
Would a person who uses "holistic introverted thinking (Ti)" as a main function and "analytical introverted intuition (Ni)" as an auxiliary function, be a creative INTP? Other options?
Lord have mercy on the harmonizing INTP, sounds like a hell of a lot of abuse and abandonment to get to that point. Wanting to be an introvert but needing to connect with people to feel fulfilled. Just another giant obstacle in my life 🙄
I'm also a dominant INTP. It's a bit weird as I have psychology as an interest and most of the skills of a harmonizing type which is the opposite of the dominant. Regarding Musk, Katherine Fauvre, the inventor of enneagram tritype, typed him as 538 enneagram tritype with sx dom. I'm a 583 sx/sp enneagram tritype.
Which of the 4 subtypes to do most resonate with?

@shinzura7307 definitely true, on purpose 🤭😜
I think I'm a harmonizing INTP. I first typed as an INFP in high school. My jobs have always been around people, sometimes to my chagrin. Currently looking for my next job after being furloughed.
Mmmmmm....I'm just DRINKING this video and it feels like it's cold, fresh water in a desert. 🙌🙌Thank you so much for these insights!
Utilize AI to its fullest potential!
@@jakeq3530 any suggestions on where one should start learning how to do that?
I’m a creative INTP and my college majors are in Anthropology and Archaeology
Where waa this when i was 17??????? Im now 52 and no better off than when i had my part time job at 17.
According to Gulenko here is the cognitive focus of each subtype:
Dominant: Te, Fe, & some Se
Creative: Ne, Se, & some Fe
Normalizing: Ti, Fi, & some Si
Harmonizing: Si, Ni & some Fi
interesting...I imagined Fe being the harmonizing cognitive function, based on my understanding of Fe.
This explains why ive been fired and or traumatised by people and the workplace for 3 decades. Have no faith in humanity.
The video being mostly in grey made watching so much more bearable. I could focus more on the speakers and the audio.
I love colour but there's fewer "unavoidable" distractions this way.
INTP. Collision repair shop owner.
Basically any job that is behind the scenes.
Relate so much to the creative subtype. Hard to learn how to integrate into work environment despite being highly competent
If you're OK to share, what is your future job/career precisely? Sounds very appealing!
@@choudewan8919 I work in design research in a university, the field increasingly focuses on collaborative ways of understanding people and combines theoretical and practical. For example if you wanted to reduce waiting lists in hospitals you would both analyse the available data before designing activities where the end users could participate in generating ideas
At Last but not least. Thank you.
Definitely not least! -Antonia
haha! creative INTP's like to poke the bear... spot on...
-Antonia
INTP Creative for sure.
Welcome back to the pack 🐺 😂🙈🙉🙊
I did the test for the 3rd time some days ago, and on the 2nd time I actually got INFJ because I was on a period of my life of helping some friends out with their problems
update: I actually understand now that I'm indeed INFJ.
U mean Psychology didn't pay well ??

Thx for years of amazing content. You mention potential links to brain chemistry. I’d be interested if things like ADD and/or medication like Adderall showed a correlation with these subtypes. I’m an ADD INTP, and when I’m on a stimulant medication, I’m very much a dominant intp. But when I’m not on a stimulant med, very much a creative intp. . Fascinating stuff. Thanks again for years of great mental crack!
Well holy shit. I am an INTP….. my entire life just…. 😅wow
Carl Jung was a harmonizing INTP.
As an intp i love cnc machining
You two are the best teachers. Thanks for this.
I condensed Gulenko's view of intertype relationships between the DCNH types directly from his book "64 types" here:
I. Symmetric-attractive (complementary duality): D-N & C-H
- Have a harmonizing or soothing nature, similar to duality between core types.
- Initially difficult, but partners increasingly begin to appreciate the advantages of each opposing role.
- Become stronger in tough living conditions.
- Provide physical compatibility (life, everyday communication, and intimate relationships).
2. Symmetric repulsive: Identical subtypes
-Creative competition initially causes a mutual elevation, but eventually growing differences and mutual disappointment begins.
-Serious testing of each other’s strengths begins that undercuts the relationship
- Useful for shoulder-to-shoulder effort, training, innovation within a given field, mentoring children, personal development, improving awareness.
- Create psychological stability
- Balance dreams and reality.
-Antonia
@Personalityhacker Good to know.

Woah, when she started reading off the list of creative INTP careers I was like ok these are actually interesting 🤔
AWESOME EPISODE
INTP here, university IELTS speaking teacher ~
I am an INTP. Harmonizer seems to be my subtype. On the Big 5 I score highest on Agreeableness and very low on Openness. I wonder if there is a connection. High Openness indicates creativity. I wonder if Creative subtypes are high Openness on the Big 5? Just noting there might be a connection.
Good stuff
I find myself in the normalizing INTP camp, so I would add to the list at 39:20 the software architect. Yes, the architect was mentioned, and computer programmer also.
Details, I guess, but yeah, interesting podcast.
Going into film studies
I'm considering this very much.❤
O mine! I just found out that I tend to be a dominant INTP!
-Antonia
