    I can't wait to try this. I have the same issue with almost straight in the back underside. Those curls just get flattened really easily. I've been plopping with a microfiber towel after I put gel on and I just lose all the gel into the towel. I'll try this tomorrow for wash day.
    Thank you for these videos. They are very helpful.

    I tried your technique last night. My hair is very similar to your hair. I had very good results! Thanks for sharing. I air dried for over an hour because I had to make dinner. I like how you separated your hair into 3 sections. That worked for me, I like things nice and easy!

    Thank you! I sooo appreciate your attention to detail and *especially* that you make your own hair gel and think about finances and health (like w/ the plop method) as you pursue your curls :)

    How often do you shampoo and/or co wash? I have high porosity 2c to 3b hair. It’s not fine. My issues are frizz and it feels dry. I either use too much product or not enough. The struggles with curls lol. I hope it’s not just me. I’m one year in.

    • @LuisaLouis
      @LuisaLouis  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Robyn. It's not just you, the curl struggle is real! 😅 I work out a lot so I have to shampoo every 2 to 3 days. When I don't work out I can go 3 to 4 days without shampooing. Masks and deep condish are very helpful when it comes to moisture.

    • @robynklatt9424
      @robynklatt9424 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luisa Louis just did a conditioning hair mask today by Shea Moisture. I use a heat bonnet. When I take my hair out of the bonnet it feels hard. Is that the heat or have I not found the right deep conditioner or mask?

    I really appreciate you making this video bringing awareness to the scalp absorption of products! I’m not a “plopper” anyway but this definitely confirms I don’t have to abide by that rule ☺️ also my curl type and placement on the scalp is very similar to your’s ☺️ Love all your vids and hope all is well in your home country 🙏🏻✌🏻💕💕

    Ur hair is very similar to mine. So mine has issues with curling from the root and it falls straighter there and gets flat. That is worse when I part or really when I comb or brush in and direction right side up. I might try doing what u did with the little hand curling upside down on my problem area which is mostly towards the front. 🤔

    All issues that you mentioned today are exactly mine. I have silky wavy hair and at the back my curls are less defined seem 'straighter'. I've just started the CGM and was wondering how to go about getting a better definition there. Thank you for addressing this.

    Do you ever plop overnight? Or just in the morning? I'm the type of person who like to shower the night before since I have to wake up so early in the morning for work so I'm wondering if it works overnight :p

    I love the way it came out. I'm so thankful for your videos. Even though I've always worn my hair curly compared to others, dealing with new products when others are discontinues make me have to find out how others use them.

    Thank you for your videos. I appreciate the fine, curly perspective. I also appreciate that you pointed out the dangers of trapping product on your scalp. Does this mean that you do not deep condition? Or, if you do deep condition, how do you do that to avoid trapping chemicals on your scalp?

    Hi, I just tried this today because I have fine wavy/curly hair too. Had a fantastic result - it's really the best of both worlds because I'm getting the styling and product in on sopping wet hair and then my hair part figures itself out. This really prevents frizz and stringy curls.
    For awhile I tried damp styling instead but my ends dried out super fast, and then even with adding water diffusing would leave crunchy and misshaped curls.
    Also, I can't thank you enough for the tip about using the denman brush *plus* finger coiling! Your diffusing method is so great - really helped maintain the curl clumps and didn't cause any shrinkage (which looks unnatural on my hair because it really isn't that curly).
    I find that while the method of upside down diffusing and bringing it all the way from end to root creates volume, my hair does not have nicely defined curls but rather small frizzy waves. So this was very refreshing and encouraging! Thanks for the hope :)

    Wow this video was so helpful. I have a similar curl type to yours and my hair is thin. I want curl definition but also volume as my hair tends to lay flat. I have issues whether I style upside down or rightside up. I will try your method of sectioning next wash day. Btw I am a new subscriber. Have a blessed day!

Also went on Amazon to look for the Denman brush 🤷🏻‍♀️ there are too many to choose from. They have a different amount of rows and just how do I decide. Your curls are so beautiful 💗

    I'm new to your channel, but I really love it. My hair is similar to yours, but much longer at this point (I badly need a hair cut). During all of the lock downs, etc I haven't really been doing much with my hair, plus I'm wanting to change the products that I'm using. Anyway, I really really like the hair net instead of the t-shirt/microfiber towel.
