    I have tried 2 times this method, and I'm kind of a proof that not everyone reacts the same way; the first time I followed everything to a t, and my hair looked so stringy, wasn't holding the shape and wasn't reacting to a normal refresh (I just use water to refresh)...but I decide to try a second time but with less product (I only used cream), and had really good results
    This method is nice, but I think the most important thing to follow is the way she styles (the sectioning and brushing)

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh absolutely! Product amounts vary per person, but the application method is the more precise part :)

    LOL you're hilarious. I'm on my second go around with top down. Katie is brilliant! The refresh is great as well.

      She really is brilliant! And my 5-step refresh works like a charm on these results 😍

    Oh my goodness! This technique is a game changer. I’ve tried it twice now. My curls are soft and bouncy. I had been having too many wash days where my curls were all stringy. Thank you.

    Yay thank you for trying! Your results are amazing! I tried it 4 times now, last time I brushed through the gel to get it more evenly coated. That was yesterday, and I didn’t took my hair out of my scarf yet, so we’ll see🙈

    I’ve tried this method two times. Observations: 1.) I like that my products get applied more evenly. 2.) no upside down styling with this this method. That’s good for me because anytime I throw all my hair forward/down it causes tangling. 3.) I get the best root volume with this routine.
    Summary: my results aren’t as good as yours, but I think this works better for my hair than other methods.

    Hi love the demo videos. I’m trying them all lol. I finally think I know my hair type, 2b/3a. But how do u know if high density or low? My hair has always been thick except losing more lately cause of age I’m guessing 😢.

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Density is all about the amount of hair on your head - low density means fewer strands, more scalp showing, high density means TONS of strands. If you’re referring to texture - aka fine to coarse hair - check out my Identify Your Hair Type video! It’ll help you out :)

      Every new method definitely takes practice! I’d suggest gently shaking your hair out after styling each section. Helps keep the movement in your roots :)

    I have super fine low density curls. (For those like me try refreshing with a garment steamer. I wen Four Whole Days!!)
    I had an epic fail when i tried. After seeing your results i may have to revisit.
    Where I think i went wrong is it is Really Really easy to use too much product on fine hair. I usually do larger sections. So. I'm going to try again but be more careful with product.
    Could you try again using different product as you weren't sure if it was product or technique?

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For sure, it’s easy to go overboard on product! My favorite trick is to measure the circumference of the section with my thumb and forefinger and only use that much product :) and stay tuned! You’ll get to see this technique again 😘

      @@TheFitCurls excellent suggestion! I use a tiny ammount of Prose hair creme (like a chickpea) i highly recommend you check them out they often work with influencers...and I make my own curlenhancing flaxseed-marshmallow-
      xanthan gum-acacia gel that has panthine and magnesium in it. It is REALLY hard to overdo. (Ive been posting about it on reddit it was such a game changer lol. It is super light too but with a great cast. If you ever want the recipe I'd be happy to share. I also started using the scrunchit brush as the denman & behairful were too big for my cut. I really got volume without weight using the products and scrunchit plus smooching. & got spirals in patched that were 2a or b.
      I've learned a lot from following you too!
      Thx for responding

    Thanks for the demo. That method looks a little awkward and have not had the nerve to try it yet. I usually get tense putting product into my hair trying to get some waves and curls, so I can image that I might get really tense trying the awkward upside down way. I have to say that your curls look great, but they always do...really. I'm curious, does the camela rose curl maker give you a cast? I tried it once years ago and my hair never dried. I applied it in the morning and that night, my hair still felt sticky and damp, so I have never used it again. I really like uncle funkys daughter! I am getting good results and after it dries, using Jessie Curl hairspray! It's not like old fashioned hair spray...it's amazing and am so happy I discovered it. It works well on my baby fine hair.

    • @TheFitCurls
      @TheFitCurls  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was surprised at how...uh...un-awkward this technique was 😂 it took some fumbling and some getting used to but it took less time and weirdness than I thought it would. I get a fabulous cast from the Camille Rose Curl Maker! I always apply it to damp hair, not wet, to shorten drying time and ensure a stronger cast.
