    2018 Silverado - same exact issue. Fix is exactly as described here. I was just about to rip my dashboard apart - you saved me hours of futile effort. THANK YOU!

      Your welcome, that’s why I made the video. Unfortunately I did start the process of taking the dash apart.

    You are a rockstar! Once I popped the center overhead console loose both screws fell out! OMG...two minute fix! I was convinced it was a in the dash!

    Thank you!!!! This has been driving me absolutely crazy for months. I ripped the whole dash apart thinking one of my kids dropped a bead of something under it. Sounded like a marble rolling around from the passenger side. Your fix was exactly it. Screw fell out and the other was loose. Thank you!!

    Thank you so much. My husband kept saying it was on my side and I kept saying no it’s coming from yours. Once I realized where it was coming from I found your video. So appreciate it!!! It was driving us both nuts. And even an old gal like me was able to fix it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Both of the screw fell out on my 2018 Silverado. The dome light assembly panel was hanging half an inch low and rattling.
    Screwed them both back in and now it’s solid and silent.
    Thank you!

    I wish I had found this video 2 years ago. It sounded like there was a marble in my dashboard just rolling around for the longest time. Eventually it stopped but then my overhead center console came loose. Luckily I found both screws and was able to put it all back together, thanks for the help!

    OMG!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you For posting this!!! I was about to go insane. I was actually looking for a video on how to get to the dash speakers. Could have sworn that’s where the noise was coming from.😂 Just like you said, easy easy fix. Took 10 seconds! I have a 2014 Silverado. Again, THANK YOU!!

    I thought I was gonna go crazy!! Couldn't find that screw anywhere. Your instructions on how to get inside the console were better than the 1st 3 videos I had to watch.
    Thanks friend!!

    I bought a 2018 GMC Sierra and this problem has happened twice. The first time the dealer fixed it, but must not have used Loctite. It is a #10 Torx screw and I will fix it this go-around. For what I payed for this truck .02 screws shouldn't be falling out.

    Mine just started making this sound 2 days ago. Like someone dropped a ball bearing in the dash. Hopefully, this is it. Update, the screw was just sitting inside the upper console.

    Thanks for helping me out to find the screw, can you tell me where it screws back into??

    • @TheCrazyCaptain
      @TheCrazyCaptain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The center console that you removed has two screws that hold it up.

    • @mogwopjr
      @mogwopjr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a black bracket above the grey console part. The black bracket has 2 screws holding it onto the roof/ceiling. The screw fell out of one of those two holes that hold the black bracket to the metal roof/ceiling of the truck. - the bracket is black, the screws are black. Looking around with a flashlight helped me.

    • @grierschwartz8886
      @grierschwartz8886 ปีที่แล้ว

      @mogwopjr I see the black bracket. Do you have to take the entire console off? Or just the part with the door buttons on it?
