I have a 2011 Silverado that I love and use daily as a truck, but I really, really am loving all the cool features like the backup mirror automatic tailgate etc. I saw my first 2019 Silverado in the wild Friday and it looked stunning in person.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know any of those points. What I did discover, and not particularly fond of, was how a person can start the truck, get out for some reason, forget the key on a table or something and reenter the vehicle and drive off past the 30 foot distance before any warning appears! There's a video out on TH-cam showing this. Although, as with other manufacturers, you won't be able to restart without the key fob! But the distance one can drive after forgetting it was rather alarming to me.
    Nice video, and thanks again...👍

Thanks again for the informative video! I'm still trying to make a decision between Chevy or GMC. I absolutely love both, and your videos have put forth such great info to help us make a decision. I've been watching your advise from a dealer perspective and will use the do's and don'ts when making the trip to the dealer.

I had no idea about any of this. This truck is awesome. I was a brand loyalist when I bought my first Chevy truck. Don’t remember exact year but I want to say 1994 Chevy S10 p/u. Fell in love with Chevy until it was time for my 2nd truck. The new salesman did not try and work with me on my reasonable price request until the day I bought my Dodge Ram 1500 p/u. Then he was willing to talk. I’ve had every brand since then, and am falling in love with the new 2019 and newer silverados. Once I pay off wife’s car I will be purchasing a Silverado hopefully this time next year. Thanks for the knowledge and info. Keep them coming. You have helped me sway away from Ford F-150 which my son currently has and sold Me on the Silverado.

So I have questions about the radar in the bumper. What happens if you get mud or material stuck in the bumper step does it hinder your ability to use blis? How do you replace the bumper with an aftermarket bumper such as ranch hand brand. As a rancher who uses his truck it is helpful to be able to push something or bump something without trashing your stock bumper.

Will the button to lower the tailgate work with a trailer hooked up? That will be a problem for me if it does because it could accidentally lower while trying to hit auto start stop off or another button then damage the tailgate. I damaged my 14 Silverado tailgate on the trailer jack as it hits the tailgate with a trailer hooked up

Skip to 3:05 when he’s finally done talking about nonsense and discusses truck.
Then disregard the blind spot nonsense, clueless explanation that someone clueless told him.
Then disregard towing weights, no one cares, those that do bought a 3500 or F350
Then disregard because no one cares how many Bluetooth connections, passengers can use WiFi hotspot instead of worrying about primary/secondary.
Then disregard bed size, you can widen it all you want it’s still a short bed and you ain’t fitting a full sheet of plywood with the tailgate closed.
Then disregard tailgate, the point missed was, hands full from unloading bed, lift up with your knee to activate auto lift.
Then learn about the rear view mirror, it’s the tits, works fabulously, a little weird at first like getting use to new eyeglasses but it’s the bomb.
Then disregard the tailgate light, it’s old, nothing exciting unless your last truck was a 2000 model year.
    Major points missed:
The HUD display works amazingly, must have feature.
Wireless charging in console, yeah it’s a thing people might like to know about.
The power running boards have a kick button on the back to deploy them from outside the truck, without opening a door and without using fob, they articulate downward and more interesting REARward to give you superior access to the bed. Might want to consider not getting them if you plan on changing to larger tires/wheels. I have the optional 22” from factory and it’s close, I imagine a fatter tire might interfere.
    Other than all that....good video.

    Hey Chevy Dude
    ,
    LOVE your channel!!!....
I am thinking of between the GMC Denali and the Silverado so this video really helped me to understand the Chevy [Silverado] better.
Anyway, I am VERY saddened by GM's decision to cut most sedan vehicles. You see, I presently own a 2017 Volt and I absolutely LOVE the vehicle. In fact, I was even thinking of updating [soon] to the 2019 version (because of the faster changer. But now, i just don't know.
So I would ask if you could PLEASE do just video on GM's switching (almost exclusively) over to trucks/SUV's (as opposed to sedans).
I know, I KNOW, what you (and everyone else) are going to say. That is, "Trucks/SUV's are SELLING, and Sedans are NOT!..."
But I STILL would like to get your "spin" on the whole situation (and whether you [as a sales person] like it more?, or, will it make things more difficult for you).
Frankly, I [personally] believe that if they [GM} made the Volt with 100 (or even 200) miles of range (like the Bolt) I personally believe (with all my heart) that it would be a HOME RUN!! ;-)
But, it looks like the Bolt will win out (for now).
So anyway, thanks for listening (and keep up the GOOD WORK ;-)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but with the power articulating running-boards, you can move them back so that you can step up on them and access the front area of the bed. Or easily access a toolbox. With the running-boards extended, tap the rear end of the running board and it moves back. Really like that feature. We bought A 2019 high country 6.2 L V8 10 speed. So far we are really liking all the features that it has to offer.

@Chevy Dude i think it's nice that the blind spot is in the step instead of in the tail light like on fords. i don't know if dodge is doing that on their new 2019 ram's

Like your advice, but I just wondered if there is any word about correcting the transmission problems Chevrolet is having with the 8 and 10 speed transmissions. This problem has me looking at other types of trucks.

What about when the truck got stolen, is there any option where or how the truck can be found with the onstar system

Didn’t know about the Back up cam is nice and the Led light either along with bed measurements. Since they lower the mirrors on the door how is it driving? Does it make a difference?

I'm a Chevy Dude. 2019 High Country, 6.2, long bed, Oakwood Metallic. Every option. Never seen another long bed in Oakwood Metallic. I wish somebody made some street type wheel opening moldings. The ones I found so far are too off road. So much better looking than the GMC's.

I knew about all of them. Does Chevy offer the heads up display on the High Country like on the new Denali?

That step bumper with sensor in there downside is you can’t as easily switch to a pre-runner or aftermarket rear metal heavy duty off road bumper as you can in RAM and FORD like the Raptor did for better departure angle

    • @hochhaul
      @hochhaul 5 ปีที่แล้ว

And the downside of the Ford taillight sensors is that a taillight costs well over $800 f**king dollars to replace. If you plan on putting on an aftermarket heavy duty bumper, you just skip the blind spot monitoring option.

I didn't know of any of the things you had shown. Though, just wondering if that truck is on the small side for a 6'9" person to sit comfortably in?

I love my 2019 all-star Silverado. The power is incredible, the design of the inside and out is awesome. Totally my style. I did just have the Right Banks Lifters replaced at 5,500 miles. All good though, the warranty covered it. Shit happens. I took it for a 200 mile test drive yesterday....woohoo perfect.

    Mike, I need help!
I got by Trail Boss LT the other day and it does not have the full map navigation nor does it have the speed limit advisory in the gauge panel.
    Can I upgrade?
    How?
Is it just a simple software download...is it software and hardware or do I have to replace the e tire infotainment system?
How much does or should it cost?
No one can seem to give me an answer.
    Thanks in advance!

@@ChevyDude I love being able to navigate from the large screen in the truck and I love being able to leave my phone alone and let it charge.
I'm going to give Android Auto and waze another try and see if I change my mind.
