- In this video, I share some hidden Silverado features and Settings some of them are obvious but a few are really cool! Most of these features and settings are for the 2014-2019 Silverado's and Sierra's! let me know if you have any other cool tricks and tips for the Silverados.

Om my 2017 Silverado 3500 HD LTZ, if you press and hold the lock button, the power mirrors will fold in. Kind of a nice feature if you park on a skinny street and forget to fold them with the control in the truck. They also fold back out if you press and hold the lock a second time. Love the power folding for the brushy forest service roads. Also, I opted out of the under seat storage. I like having a big flat area for the dogs, by bicycle (barely fits) or cargo in the back seat when the seats are folded up. My 2002 had the seats fold flat forward, and I like the 2017 version much better.

Windows were a cool trick for sure. Thankfully my ‘21 has a downward facing option for the hitch.

Same here. Been having it like that for a year. Bought a replacement digitizer on eBay and hope it lasts me more than the oem one
my 2016 changes stations on it on how did u repair it?
@@hand2handmc Depends on what is actually broken: the digitizer and/or LCD. If your screen is still displaying everything fine, then your LCD is okay. But if the radio is randomly selecting stations by itself, then the digitizer itself is broken. In that case, you would only need to replace the digitizer.
You can buy the digitizer or "touch screen" itself alone from eBay for around $80-$90. You just need to make sure you have the right part number and size for your truck model.

I was able to remove the rear seats for more storage. Cargo room at built a plywood area with carpet. I'm still modifying it though. But just a little tip for people who don't use the rear seats for passengers.

Not being able to roll the windows back up with the FOB is a safety function. The factory features do not have any sensor to detect an obstruction that may be hanging out and stop the window.
On our Buick if you try to roll up the window and apply pressure it will stop and roll back down.

@@marlonespenilla5839 How? You can easily use your mirrors or look out the back to see if your're lined up w/ the trailer, then you use the camera to get directly under the hitch
If you turn the headlights off and on 3 times and honk the horn twice while depressing the brake and tune your 9adio to 99.9. Your truck spits popcorn out the exhaust. 😁

The first trick with the seat belt made me face palm 😂 I couldn’t believe it was that easy to store that belt
Funny thing, I was like I don't have that problem, Pause vid. go to my truck and there it was already in there, someone from the dealership already placed it in there, Another funny thing I didn't know that was even there. I think when I first got the truck I checked it out, but then forgot about it.
For real, mine's been stuffed between two seats, full of dirt or anything else that gets down there
Unless You use it. Roll it! Lol. fold it and just tuck it. That space can be be UTILIZED for other purpose!
thanks for those triks! the temp is way tooo much for us in islands in south pacific leading to big damage on the transmission over 40 ° celcius it is too much for the transmission.

I'm gonna have do some digging into my settings cause I dnt have half the vehicle settings on my radio
When you push your key fob twice and you hear the horn blow that simply activates the alarm. The first time you push the button the doors locked and the second time you push the button the alarm is activated but the alarm will not activate it if the vehicle is not fully closed. A lot of people like to push it twice so they can activate their alarm but you only need to push it once to lock the doors and they will lock even if it's not all the way closed.

My old one 2011 1500 had that too I watched a TH-cam video and saw it and I ran outside and was like hell yeah that’s where I’d keep a pistol and extra magazine locked into that compartment. Now my 2016 2500HD doesn’t have that and I can’t find that teen driving mode I have a valet mode but no teen driver I’m wondering if you guys know if it’s an update that I need to download from online or hoe to upgrade it to have those extra functions mine is a 2016 2500 HD 6.6L Duramax LTZ Z71 top of the line when I bought it any help fellas?
All good tips, I turned off the feature where u can put your windows down. It’s not good for a rainy day and the key is in your pocket and something presses and holds the unlock button and u don’t realize it

When i first got mine, The backup camera made it feel like cheating when hooking up a trailer. That trick just takes it to the next level. Also, you can wire up the camera to the cargo light button using a diode. Cant remember exactly how to do it.

The 2014 silverados can have different dash themes etc. The 2015s you can't change themes. I thought that was crazy
It was a demo for the first gen silveradoes, I have a 2014 and the radio and touchscreen glitch out constantly

Got the 2016 All-Star Edition 1500, love it (it doesn't believe me though, because it'll be for sale next week). I knew about MOST of those, but imagine my surprise when I walk out to my truck about 24 hrs after I last got out of it, and see all my windows down. My first thought was "What kind of sick mf smashes out ALL 4 WINDOWS to break into a truck?!"
By now have you bypassed the AFM yet ?? I understand it's a pain..

Hey bro what year is yours? I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LTZ Z71 6.6L Duramax and I don’t see a teen driver tab in my settings there’s a Valet mode but nothing about report cards on teens driving. Is there an update that I haven’t done or is there a way to put stuff on there that gives you more options like that? Do you have to have an OnStar account plan active or something to have those types of options I bought my Truck in 2016 it was top of the line best of the best so I don’t see how or why I’m missing features it only has 32k miles on it but when I first bought it I had like a 3 month subscription to onstar but I let it lapse because I didn’t need it but your screen says Wi-Fi on the top left is that a data package you buy from onstar? Sorry for the questions but I would really appreciate it if you’d help a brother out. Thanks for your time sir.

I can roll all 4 windows down AND back up with the faub. Not sure why you couldn’t. My truck is a 2020. White too. Pretty truck. Mine is a diesel though.

FYI I have one of the under the rear seat storage buckets FOR SALE from my 2017 Silverado Crew Cab, I think it is a weather tec (it was not a good fit for the 2022). I will fit all the same body styles as the 2017. I also have the Factory Chevrolet one from my 2022 crew cab FOR SALE (that fits 2019-2022 crew cab). FYI the factory one is a little smaller than the aftermarket ones.

@@mdarvy7804 I know at the dealership parts department it is $158.00 + S+H + Tax. I am in Tennessee. I will take the first $100.00. You can pick it up or pay for UPS their fees to pack it and ship it. The aftermarket one for the 2019 is in new unused condition. To me I think it is also worth $100.00 plus the actual pack and ship fees.

I found that if I put the hazards on and turn the wipers on full blast and put the AC on, a perfect 10 babe appears in my back seat wanting to get it on!!!

Hello, I’ve got a 2016 Sierra SLT .. I don’t have any of those options in my vehicle section in settings such as remote start, comfort and convenience etc .. any reason why? I also can’t roll down windows nor fold in mirrors with fob..? Help? Thanks

No way to change that.. you can just half hold it longer though.

My 2015 gmc sierra does not have the middle seat cubby, probably because its base level trim with vinyl floor. Also if you enable the auto down windows, turn it off in the winter, i had somehow got all of my window to open overnight in a snowstorm and the inside of my truck was full of snow

I must have leaned on my fob and did this. It rained all night. My truck was a month old
The easiest way to deal with that seat belt is to connect it and pull it tight. Then bring your bench back down. Going into the seat compartment is overkill dude... lol

Transmission thermostat a must when buying a Silverado?
Also the range technologies AFM delete! Saves lifters as well as the transmission also. In V4 mode the transmission doesn't know what gear to be in.

I just got a 2017 yesterday and my radio randomly acts like I’m touching the screen and put people on hold when I’m on a call. Is there a easy way to fix this?
My truck did this. It was like a ghost was controlling my radio. Took it to dealer and they replaced the whole radio. Said internal short. 2017 Silverado high country

Yeah the window thing is stupid. My 2010 Cadillac has it, up and down Push and hold lock on the fob and the mirrors fold, push and hold unlock and they unfold.
If you put floor mats down that saves your carpet and can potentially keep dirt away. Also if you leave your seat belt latched into the seatbelt latch, it wont ding when driving...follow me for more tips and tricks to customize your ride!

Is there a feature where you can turn off the beeping sound when your keys are in ignition (turned off) and the door is open? That annoys me so much when I'm chilling in my truck
I wish man! But there is no factory setting to turn the chimes off. There is chime volume in the DIC.
Its a safety feature. Why turn it off. Just take the keys off, or shut your doors.

I know. Been looking at the same damn warning about not looking at it, instead of the road for months now..
i read that when the rado screen freezes, just pull the 20a radio fuse on the RH side of the dash for 5 seconds, re-install it, and it will reset the radio screen.
When mine freezes I just press my finger on the bottom left corner and without lifting just zig zag my finger up and down to the right side covering the whole screen. Then press whatever your trying and it should work. Works for me every time
