Hi Wayne. A Happy New Year to you. Really enjoying your latest videos. What are you painting on? Canvas or panels? Keep up the great work! Really enjoy the kiwi content - Bruce
It’s such a great video! May I repost your channel to the platform named Ganjing World which is full of clean and valuable videos? I will keep your videos as is for sure. Thank you to let me know!
I painted with Liquin for the first time and probably used too much in my glaceing. (I used an old methode to make a glace wash to get a glow going on) now my next layer of paint is rejected, I added turpentine to make it lean but it is still rejecting the next wash. And also rejecting my retoushing varnish… do you know how to fix this? And do I understand now you can not use glace washes with liquin? Thanks a lot love your work!
Making your paint leaner is the opposite of what you want. A glaze is not a wash. Do the wash first and then glaze over the top of it, not the other way around. Do a lean layer first then add more oil/liquin with each layer you put on top of it. The paint is being rejected because there is less liquin than the surface you're painting. Add more liquin.
😢 why aren’t you making videos anymore? I just recently found your channel, and your videos help me so much! I was bummed to see that this video (your last video) is from a year ago. You have to be making art, so why not record a few here and there? Did you stop because you didn’t have a lot of views, comments, etc? If so, it is NOT because your content isn’t engaging, or because your not helpful, or because of your art. ALL of those are amazing! It’s because of the TH-cam algorithm. It takes a long time for your videos to get popular and start appearing on people’s feeds. I have been watching TH-cam art videos for years! I just found you. I was searching how to paint waves, clouds, seascapes, etc… but your videos never came up until recently (the past few weeks I think). Your art and talent is phenomenal… your attitude is refreshing (artist are usually to the point or boring, or stiff). You seem like a great and funny guy! Your content is very very helpful! You have helped me to get over my hump (figure out what the heck my waves, sky, and clouds were missing and paint them to be more realistic). So THANK YOU!!!! I hope all is well wherever you are, and if it is at all possible, COME BACK TO TH-cam!!!! PLEASE 🙏

I was thinking the same thing, and I definitely agree!
Are you doing thin after the original painting is dry?
Yes Susan, I paint wet over dry in multiple layers. I use Liquin as my medium throughout the entire process
