    Fantastic stuff Freeman. The genuine talent you have in articulating your process is second to none. This is a no small thing and I’m sure everyone here can’t wait to see what’s next.

    I loved the new video Freeman. I screamed at about 20 minutes in! In hindsight you improved the painting tremendously. I cannot tell you how much the “learning process” was well demonstrated. The work and thought you put into the painting as well as the video is easily seen. Really well done, and thank you. I’ll be watching it again.

    Excellent tutorial. I like to paint the sea mostly even though I live in the middle of the UK countryside. The thing I like about this particular tutorial is the honesty about changing things you don't feel are working. I have that crisis constantly, also using reference photos up to a point then going your own way . I like how you say its a series of problems to be solved and many ways to solve them .Thanks for an excellent tutorial. I'm going to show it to a friend today so she can see a little of what I go through. The struggle as you so rightly put it. I struggle but I am compelled to do it. Again , many thanks

    So I just caught this, as a recent subscriber I'm slowly getting through your videos, have to say from an art students perspective in this 30min video I've learned more than I have in hundreds of hours of watching *tutorials* I love that you show and put across that it's OK to go through the process, to stand back or look on your work the next day and think Nahhh it's not cutting it. I've only been painting in oils a few months following yrs of frustrations with acrylics & yep I hold my hand up to getting way to caught up in tiny brush lots of detail and loosing the kenetic energy I was trying recreate. 🙃 here's too those turds and may they forever have issues floating so we keep ourselves learning 🙂

    Mr White, I recently tried to do an amateur Plein air sketch of similar, dark green seascape. I used ultramarine blue, cad yellow and phtalao green but failed to obtain this dark, deep green that's related to cold seas. Is it the green umber that makes this colour in your painting? I would love to have small piece of advice here.
    Great video as usual!

    • @freemanwhiteartist6927
      @freemanwhiteartist6927  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes here I have used green umber and old holland violet grey there is another deep earth green I use sometimes as well called olive green . You could try knocking back your high chroma mixes with van dyke brown and kings blue .
      Best of luck .
      I would probably also substitute cad yellow for yellow ochre and pthelo green has a very high tint power so tends to override other colours use sparingly !!
