How I Paint Mist & Mountains Part 1

Painting hanging mist in the mountains wet into wet in my block in stage. This is a really fun and easy technique to achieve subtle transitions which create realistic mist and cloud.

Wayne Vickers Art for sure. My painting has evolved over 6 years due to practice, practice and more practice, then observing and learning from other gifted artists. We sure are fortunate nowadays to have such instant access to other likeminded artists. It drives everyone to produce better pieces which is very inspiring to witness.

How do you determine the block-in color of the mountians? Does the sky play a factor, or do you stick with a specific pallet? Love the work and new subscriber!

Hi Max, sky is the deciding factor, so it is always different depending on the sky. It takes a bit of practice and you won't always get it right first time. Good luck!
