When Atlas first came out and I was on-board fast ... everybody thought they were too expensive and under $200 but now that is considered CHEAP.... who would have imagined... Great video and I may try one. thanks

You can tighten the swivel nut above the release button to your preference on the bipod legs, a little turn goes a long way.
I have done this on a few of ny psr's assuming they share the same retention plate system which it looks like they do from over here.

I already have an accu-tac and wanted an Atlas to have something new for a new build, but thanks for pointing out the wobble. Another accu-tac it is

I have both the atlas and accutac. I prefer the atlas over the accutac for the same reasons you like yours but opposite. I also have the MDT ground pod which is a great little bipod at 1/2 the price of either other choice.
    Great vid. Keep ‘em coming.

I have 2 different atlas and I have the accutac wb4 and sr5, I love the atlas, I never had issues with making sub moa shots @100 yards and hitting similar at 620 yards, Im getting close at 1000 yards with both.

What influenced you to choose the 4 over the 5 on this model?

I'm looking at almost that exact bipod. Do you know if the mount will work with a eara 419 arca rail with the locking serrations???.

Both bipods have their place as with anything. Definite downside to the Accutac is that its almost twice the weight of the Atlas and almost twice the price as well.

These channels kill me , 2 years ago "omg the Atlas is the cats meow , evry thing about it is spot on " .... fast forward to present ..."the Atlas cant this and this isnt good and this is a con , BUT THE NEW XYZ bipod is where its at " ....🤦‍♂

Wow. I can’t believe how much wobble that Atlas has. I never bought into the Atlas hype and went straight to my Accu-Tac. I’m feeling pretty good about that decision now. Thanks for the video showing the differences between the 2. Been scouring the forums for a used bipod for a 7mm Rem Mag I just finished for my son. Guess I’ll just skip over used Atlas’. I want something nicer for him especially with as heavy as the recoil is in 7 mag.

I have one, keep in mind you’re always going to be pushing into the scope, and it’s not an issue. You will not notice it whatsoever. There’s never a situation, where you’re simply balancing the weight perfectly, even to where they would fall forward or back, even if you were pulling the gun into, it would take up the slack immediately and become stable.

Good morning. Would it be possible to know how to fix the Atlas BT65 bipod on a ring (or not) under mdt LSS RF chassis? Thanks in advance.

Does it seem like the Picatinny/Arca rail adapter could be adapted to the Accu-Tac? The Really Right Stuff adapter doesn't list the Accu-Tac as being compatible, though...

The accutac has the mount all in one. It is build Into the bipod. The atlas has a mounting point to change the mount.

I have both Atlas and Accutac.I use the heavy Accutac on the bench and prone at the range. I dont know what to tell you but my Atlas Cal has no wobble like yours what so ever and yes its broken in and sporting a Arca area 419 mount. Freekin solid!! lock up period! and it is well broken in. In the field you wont catch me with my heavy and bulky Accutac, but I dont go without my A-Cal.

I just sold both my Atlas bipods and bought an Accu Tac WB-4 and found the legs to short so I exchanged it for a WB-5 which is perfect and very very solid.
ps: I bench and prone shoot only and my rifle weighs approx. 18lbs +

I have an Accu-tac on order after a long online search and many years on Harris. Nearly pulled the trigger on a Tier One ELR, then an MDT Ckye Pod but held off on both when I saw the wobble. Never liked the look of Atlas because of the wobble.

Make sure you monitor the feet as they tend to unscrew themselves. I love my AccuTac BR-4 G2 Arca for PRS but ended up applying a dab of blue LocTite to each. Here is the video that sold me on AccuTac: th-cam.com/video/p2YQKdzm3Sk/w-d-xo.html

I couldn't agree more, I am on my second set of bipods in search of a stiff stable set up and am going to pull the pin on one of these. I should have used the same ideology on my bipods as my rifles and glass.
Buy once cry once, yes they are pricey but every reviewer is just totally impressed with their build quality and stability compared to the all the other player's offerings out there.
I just have to save up a little longer up here in the formerly great white north now known as Victimlandia as our Peso is worthless like our PM.

The accu-tac is great for bench and prone just not good for a prs shooter, I stand by the mdt ckye pod

I have the atlas 5h and the Accutac 4h. Accutac much more stable but bulkier as well.

  • @rvoykin
    @rvoykin 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

For 3-Gun or run and gun setups Atlas is nice because of light weight. I wish there was a way to easily one hand deploy these bipods but if you want stability for long range precision shooting, I would probably go with the Accutech

Omg dude, an atlas flimsy and rattley??? 😂😂😂
    Ok! 🙄
Don’t like that huge tensioner lever, exposed springs for the leg levers are garbage, doesn’t lock back flat. You ppl just chomp at the bit to buy something new that just came out then bash the last one you had saying it’s essentially trash now 😂. Sillyness.
