Can we just mention how ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) was angry because of something that happened to himself but when he got angry because of something that happened to the Prophet (peace be upon him) he forgot about his own situation and went out immediately. The love he had for the Prophet (peace be upon him) was truly beautiful.

For instance, the splitting of the moon was a miracle that was shown to pagan Arabs. However, there are non-Muslim sources that confirm this extraordinary event. Even a king from South India observed this incident and went to Mecca and converted to Islam later. Lastly, after you wrote "flying donkeys," I don't take you seriously because your knowledge of Islam is superficial and problematic.

      First :
Taking any kind of slaves is an undesired thing in Islam. In fact, there are several cases where one is obliged to free slaves if there are any to obtain pardon from Allah for example.
      Second :
A slave in Islam is treated well, the only thing taken from him is his liberty for legitimate reason for he has fought against muslims. ( Women who do not combat are not taken slaves )
The slave eats what the owner eats, and he dresses like the owner dresses. And it is not asked from him anything he cannot bear.
      Third :
Slavery is not unpermisible, for in the ancient times where our enemy would takes our women as slaves when they win a battle, then we do the same when we win. And yes, if she is a slave then she can't refuse a sexual intercourse with her master. Is it rape ? No. Why ? Well, if they kill her, would it be murder ? No, because obviously she fought against them. Same way with the sexual intercourse.
      Fourth :
The laws of Islam are predisposibly flexible and adaptable to space-time. Islam as a state should always seek it's best interest in how it interacts with the other states. The modern world doesn't want any slavery anymore. Well, good for Islam because it has tried to avoid it since it's beginning. If Muslim countries reach an agreement with other countries to abolish slavery then it's what should be done.
      And it has happened !

Very often in my journey to Islam, I was faced with intellectual and moral dilemmas. Was Islam not supposed to be cruel to women, roughly half of the world's population? One day, I was reading a translation of the Quran and came across a passage in which it described 'a wife as a garment for her husband and a husband as a garment for his wife.' What beauty and what a sublime description!" 🤲

      "Actions done by Allah"?
If this is the best missionaries have to offer, then there's no wonder Church goers are on the decline. The stranger is Gabrielle and Allah has revealed the Quran which is more than enough to deal with you, heed the challenge of Quran, the lasting miracle, how about you write something or bring forth someone who can write something like the Quran as it challenged you to?
Let's assume you were right just for fun, I'll look for a new God, let's check out Christianity, what's their God like?
According to Christians, their God cried out on the cross to himself for abandoning himself as he was being slain by mere humans as he was trying to sacrifice himself to himself to appease himself after praying to himself to save himself from that very sacrifice he was trying to do.

And about the kidnapping part, well in an era where many people used to treat women as objects, didn't give the freedom to choose a belief, literally had no choice who they get married to and in some cases can simply be abused it's not hard for a woman to find her treatment as a slave to a Muslim much better than that which she had before + it was known thing that women of the lost side of a war gets captured (ofc there can be exceptions) so it wasn't something strange to them or something they didn't know when they decide to go into war, not to mention that the alternate punishment to war prisoner is literally death or as it happens now to simply cage them completely giving them shit food and force them into labors while being surrounded by murderers and rapists and getting a shitty treatment from the gaurds

As for women not to need the influence of movements such as feminism to affect them in this way, this couldn’t be truer. May be going slightly off topic here but there seems to be streaks of natural healthy competitiveness between man and woman and this can be seen even in the youngest of female children when put up against a group of boys the same age in years to them.
The girls will gravitate towards the girls and want to out run the boys naturally 9 times out of 10 (and call them stinky while doing so). Or if placing a single young girl with a group of boisterous boys, she will try her damndest to give them all a hard time. Or at least take her extra time celebrating her victories.
In comparison, put them in a competition between girls of the same age and there is an entirely different competition. One which is passionate and fun and sometimes even fiery. The goal is just to win. Not to outsmart to prove something. There is room for it to get a lot cheekier in this group whereas the former is more competition that proves to be based on her proving the point that she is capable also regardless of her gender.
One can’t help think of the competitive races between The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) and his beloved wife Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her). Yes it was a loving act between man and wife. But there is no denying the sweetness of Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) winning a race with not only her husband - a man- but the Prophet of Allah.
Feminism calls for the equality of the sexes. From observation, this is not something a lot of Muslim women can relate to for obvious reasons (man and woman being different from one another as one example) however, there is no denying that naturally there is a spark or motivational need to want to prove your worth or capability when it comes to the opposite gender in certain specific scenarios only. For example skill and strength of mind. And this doesn’t necessary always have to be a bad thing if cultivated well.
It could just be a case of having something to
prove makes one (male or female) more competitive or desiring to be on the same level of accomplishment or reward and has nothing to do with gender.

Ultimatums are the way to go *if* the woman crossed a line. But ultimatums shouldn't be used as a way to avoid conversation if the woman simply has an opposing view on something. I can totally see some guy giving his wife ultimatums over the dumbest thing.
Good leaders shouldn't fear conversation (obviously i don't include shouting & screaming as a form of conversation). Men who shut down conversation & don't listen to their wives create the perfect conditions for resentment to grow. My way or the highway is never reasonable. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the noblest man to ever walk the earth.
To the men who have already packed their duffles. Ask the learned what level of marital challenges qualify for a man to up sticks and leave for 29 days. This was the Prophet of Allah and under the circumstances - x amount of wives and the situation with whatever the issue was with desiring more wealth - under this scenario, it is not in the slightest surprising. A excellent method of conflict resolution. Classy and sophisticated. As can be expected by a man who is the best of Allah’s (God’s) creation.
Not everyone wishes to reflect upon their shortcomings and there is nothing like absence to make the heart grow fonder and to make clear to you, your own shortcomings as a human being. Perfection doesn’t exist so we can all do with the time out quite frankly. But when do you qualify? If you were to implement this sunnah with every hiccup, you’d never see her again. Know your rights and know when to exercise them. Do you have 9 wives who are making you feel overwhelmed by complaints? Who could blame a man with 9 wives for wanting a little peace or to remove himself for a while to create peace? None. You (general reader) on the other hand, possibly have one wife. And sometimes one house is large enough alhamdulillah to get your time out from, not to mention the work home ratio which too can be included.
Not aware of the intricacies of the method but if total separation (ie from night to morning and morning to night) is necessary for it to work for 29 days, then that is a different story. Do not deviate from the sunnah, rather follow it with wisdom and understanding and then do so brilliantly. For only good comes from it. And Allah and his messenger (peace be upon him) know best. And May Allah be pleased with the mother’s of the believers.

A great discussion Mohammed. One lesson that can be taken from this video is for us to become more nuanced/flexible in our thinking when it comes to the topic of gender/gender disagreements/conflict. Nonetheless, for one to achieve this stage of thinking, they have to to have self-awareness. They have to be conscious of their short-comings. They have master their egos. They have to humble themselves.
My conclusion, the implementation of this mindset is rarely seen in action

Alhamdullilah, I've also come across this hadith and looked into the explanation and the describing of the ansari as "their women dominating them" took me by surprise as-well as the fact that the prophet (SAW) smiled in response.
    I found the following sharh:
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said - discussing the lessons to be learned from this hadeeth -
“This indicates that being harsh with women is something blameworthy, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) adopted the way of the Ansaar with their women and forsook the way of his people.”
    Fath al-Baari, 9/291
The Prophet (SAW) therefore seem to have favoured a more "easy going" approach to women. Interesting.

The way Mohammed PBUH dealt with the whole situation was perfection, neither side was intoxicated and everyone ended up being happy.
Really, the best cure to a relationship is some time off, sitting with yourself can make you think for a bit about your mistakes and misjudgments and will later on make you more self conscious and careful when talking to your wife. (same goes to the other side)
And what you said at 16:15 about women and how that their actions can be effected by other women is very true, this is not something new because of feminism this is something that’s been here since the old ages, and I see that this can be another reason for women to cover up their bodies so that they don’t be a reason for other women to do actions that they in another case wouldn’t have to do (like doing a plastic surgery.), the women who are mostly effected by this are western women.

      @@WinnerNevQuitsQuitterNevWins Asalamu alaikum.
Generaliseing women to not being able to "take action mindfully" or "never staying on one straight firm schedule" is absolutely wrong. Those stereotypes are harmful and extremely misleading. There are many women more organised and firm when it comes to daily habits, responsibility and scheduling - even more than men. And there are plenty of men who are not as logical and are emotionally swayed when it comes to decision making.
Allah subhana wa ta'ala designed all humans to be able to maintain a lifestyle based on what we choose, and how we were raised. A child exposed to a careless or flexible environment wouldn't grow up to be as organised as a child who was raised to be strict, organised, and always watching over and timing their actions.
Men are assigned as the Qawameen, protecters and carers towards women, physically and emotionally. And that does not mean that women are vulnerable, it means that they have a right to protection - It's a privelage towards women. The word Qawam means a maintainer, and that is very different from having authority. Hope this helps.

We need to be careful in how we understand the words of the Quraan, for being a maintainer has nothing to do with authority at all.
Both men and women are equally capable, intelligent and competent. A mother and father both are leaders in the family, they work together. Brothers and sisters, they work together.
The word Qawaam means maintainer, a care taker, a protector. Men are given the role of being a Qawam - it's not authority, it's a responsibility in getting involved and being commited to women.

Gender segregation is promoted in Islam to prevent issues with mahram; that's why Muslim households traditionally had exclusive based areas for women and children.
Sexual harassment is one of the many issues as to why gender segregation was a concept in the Islamic world, in Imperial China the consorts couldn't leave the harem out of fear that they'd be involved in scandals.

Hey Hijab, I am having fun of your prophet, are you?
Lets show more holes in the narrative:
The Non trinitarian Chriatians and Trinitarian Christians.
Umar II was an Umayyad Caliph, wrote a letter to Leo III, the emperor of the Byzantine empire, Theophanes (Byzantine Chronicler) writes a letter of the event in 817. Umar wanted to persuade Leo to make changes the Bible writings. Leo in several letters replied that his argument had no fundamentals. Umar Abu Trab (Rashidun), Ali (Abu Turab) and Salman the Persian composed their P’ourkan, even thought the rumor around among was that god sent it from heavens, Leo said.
P’ourkan could be Furqan in Aramaic means salvation.
As for your book you(The Umayyads) already have given us of such falsification and one knows among others of certain Hajaj said a governor of Persia named by Umar.
Al Hajjaj Ibn Yussif mention ed as governor of Persia, he was a ruler from 685 to 715, was under And Al Malik and then under Al Walid.
In those letters Leo III continues: Hajjaj had men gather ancient books which he replaced by others composed by himself according to his taste and which he designated everywhere in your nation, because was easier to undertake such task among the people speaking a single language. From this destruction, nevertheless escaped a few of the books of Abu Turab, for Hajjaj could not make them disappear completely.
Ali was from Al Hira Iraq, Umar from Edessa Iraq, and Salman Al Farsi from Al Hira Iraq.
Salman the Persian was from Iraq.
P’ourkan or Book of Allah by Umar Abu Turab, Ali and Salman the Persian.
The book ordered by Abd Al Malik and his general Al Jajjij.
The None trinitarians had Jerusalem and they had the power to enforce it in the region.
They wanted another book that were non trinitrian plus include Soroastrian believes in it, so they tried by talking to the Bizantines to do it together.

Yes, the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) was a Man of substance. You don't have to do anything with a demanding wife, you simply let them leave if they'd like while you remain silent. Your job is to provide and protect, but yes, not being in contact with her is perfect. She can understand how her life would be miserable without you, and that her misery is individualized to "her" not to the sisterhood that seems to think they have all the answers. The Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him) was a wise man.

Suppose you want a loan for your family during a natural calamity.. and you ask for money and write a letter to local government but the address you write down is wrong.. the local government sees that and they don't correct you.. still gives you the money.. now in the time of repaying your loan obviously you will send money to the wrong address.. now this time some bad men are taking those money.. Now if the local government come and ask for the money.. you will obviously say you have repaid the money but the local government will say you haven't.. Isn't here both parties to blame?? When a non Muslims wants anything they don't ask it from Allah.. they want it from the idols or their gods.. they never wanted anything from you..if you give them what they want, it's obvious that they will be greatful to their gods and praise them not Allah..then why to answer their prayers??it makes no sense

    1. A man with multiple wives can easily go without seeing one of them.
Thus woman feels the most coercion.

what option did they have? Go beg in the streets?
