I was extremely disappointed at the way the women in this video didn’t let the man speak his point of view about women being viewed equally in Islam. Ik ppl like her. When they study and know so much they wanna share it. And sometimes they forget to let others chip in
You'r Mom she could have waited a little for the guy with the white shirt to finish his complete sentence but the way the comments and you guys make it seem is as if she was this super annoying rude person. People exaggerating to the max it’s hilarious lol
You'r Mom in the clips I’ve seen of him talking so far he was able to finish his thought. There was only one or two clips when he got cut off.
Even though I'm somehow an ex-Muslim, I really like the guy with the broken hand. He's not afraid of discussing the contradictions between his mind and his religion. It can be seen very clearly on the "I believe men and women are equal" part.
Yeah exactly
I believe he will someday leave islam
He is so smart and intelligent
Hey dude idk if i sound werid or some but i am at the edge of being a an ex muslim but deep down i still am a firm believer idk what to really do i was wondering if we can talk and you tell me whats up and all weird and all but i live in a muslim country and all so idk what to really do plus i am just 16 rn so idk if i know any better have talked to bunch of reverts for knowledge would like to talk to you too if you are interested plz let me know
Someone explain to that chick right there that “ I read the Quran” does not make you a Goddess , especially when you deny so many verses, the audacity...
Tarik Tahirovic she said there aren’t any verses that somewhat promote violence or on violence in the Quran
Before everyone say anything the girl who wrote the comment is Muslim as well
That's just here opinion no need to be rude
@Houssna you are subscribed to koulchi 😂😂
I see you're a girl of culture
@PP she have a muslim name mr haj thanos
@PP Islam is a relegion not a race there are Muslims all over the world I even know an asian muslim in my school
Woman with the purple scarf: I R E A D T H E Q U R A N E V E R Y D A Y. And I have not yet once read a verse about violence.
Person with the broken arm: So do you deny the verse-
Woman with the purple scarf: ...and I am not gonna let you take that away from me.

blindly religious, like many. Islam started as a peaceful religion, and had a very short time where woman enjoyed equal rights, peace was preached, etc. then it was introduced to tribes in Africa, and it was broken apart and fitted into pre-existing tribal laws to help the people adapt. and you've got what Islam is today.
@@glitchyfolks she was so annoying
@@TeenDream888 if islam started as a religion of peace how come there are countless verses in the quran justifying murder and violence?
@@Ben-jq3ov those verses can be taken in many contexts. Obviously when Islam started out, Muhammed was there to explain where to use which verse in which context. There was no arguing against him. After his death, his contemporary followers would become the next 4 leaders of the Muslim community and would to a similar extent, continue to offer rational guidance regarding quotes from scripture. Now there is no such rationality. The leaders of the Muslim world are now politicians with ulterior motives. Religious leaders on the other hand have descended into ignorance of any matter not related to religon, which was not the case before.
They're so delusional if they don't think islam promotes violence. They don't read the Quran.
Everything have a context
And if we do it in your way then Bible is 500more times violent than Quran
@@blackxdeft5791 No Quran is more violent. ALso Why are you assuming he's Christian ?
The lady in the purple hijab was extremely defensive and closed minded to the ideas of others and listening. I wanted to hear the guy in the white talk more but I felt he was under attack. I wish this dove deeper.
Agreed, this is a form of censorship, not good at all. This happens when you put your feelings above facts
UH for GOOD reason, he was totally misconstruing Islam.
@@fleabag6477 He was quoting the Quran verbatim, how was he misconstruing it?
why don't you get that this is a religion with rules not opinions
curly I feel he was bringing up criticism of Islam to raise the question, not necessarily disagreeing with everything the group was saying. I would have liked to hear him finish his thought process before I judge.
White shirt guy: breathes
Nia: that’s not Muslim
HAAHAHAHA! 😂😂😂😂
Looks like we've got another Erin on our hands
Yours Truly 😭
At least she had her facts right 😭😭

No offence, but I was kinda feeling bad that the white shirt one didn't get to express his opinions openly without getting interrupted just because they were different.
Mainly the women in the purple
heights of abnormality that’s what they do.
He seems to have been the smartest and most through and unemotional in his responses.
Women in purple was and acting like she is the only one that reads quran
heights of abnormality muslims like the other ppl are like that they think that they’re always right and god was at their home giving them private tutoring telling them what’s wrong and what’s right
I would love to see a Spectrum episode with first-generation Americans with different backgrounds! That "I am American" statement would be the pathway of a phenomenal conversation (I hope lol)
"I pray with one hand, and sin with the other." is a great line. BUT, which one of them broke your hand, bruh? :p
Exactly what went through my mind!
His right hand is broken..............
Wonder what his name is. I wanna credit him for that beautiful quote.

I have so much respect for the white shirt guy, for having the courage to acknowledge the other side of every argument. This channel is about creating a civil discourse on differing opinions and I don't like the people on this show who talk over everyone and think they're always right. The show is called spectrum.
He was being reasonable and logical. Everyone should be like him
It's just sad he was the only one.
Yeah the purple scard lady thinks she knows it all
Hes woke
@@GlamFameKen555 Yeah, we need more critical thinkers like him. If everyone who had a disagreement was as rational this guy, USA wouldn't be so divided.

The woman in the purple scar doesn't understand the idea of having a discussion. It's all about I've read it and there's no questioning it.
From the clip it appears like that but to be fair to her, the video is clearly highly edited so we don't get to hear the full conversation.
She’s probably only read it in English
True
Most muslims are like that visit afganistan or even India
Yeah. Many religious people are like that :(
Religions are not the problem, people are the problem(closed minded people).

Purple girl: strongly disagree
@The Wondering Angler yea but the concept itself isn't evil,it's how it's used as a tool really. You can use religion to build a loving community and you can use it to put fear onto others it's all about which one u choose

It’s so funny how Fretsha somewhat agrees to making hijab mandatory in Islam, while not wearing a hijab. The hypocrisy is so blatant. 😂😂😂
