    I have watched several other videos on how to set up my new SoClean 2, and this is the ONLY video you need to watch. It is excellent and for people like me who don't always read the directions first, it was the easiest and best way to set up my machine. BRAVO to Shannon!!

      Am I supposed to cut the tubing that goes from the SoClean to the Cpap machine and insert the check valve? The directions do not address that issue!

      I agree. The instructions that came in my box sucked and made no sense because the amateurish drawings they used did not apply to my machine. I almost sent it back for a refund. After watching these videos, now I see why I couldn't get it connected properly. The instructions did not mention removing the short tube used for those not using the humidifier.

    I can now use my SoClean 2 with confidence. Great Info and video. Best I've seen. One thing that would make your video better would be to raise your table or lower your body. It is a little bothersome to have your head cut off. You could raise the table by putting a brick or plastic box or something like that under each leg to get the table higher. You could also sit on a chair that is a little higher than normal. You are informative and have a great manner and voice. Thanks.

    I have a ResMed Airsense 10, so I was interested in this video to see how this would work. However, I do have a couple of things that I'd like to raise:
    1. You could still clean the heated tubing with the adapter. The connector to the CPAP machine is a standard tube, just with an additional connector on the side. You could attach the adaptor to the machine and then connect the heated tube to the other end of the adaptor. As the CPAP machine isn't actually on, it doesn't matter that the heater element isn't connected. I don't know if the plan is to keep the SoClean connected all the time, but I'd probably want to disconnect it anyway, just in case.
    2. If the small tube on the adaptor is designed to go into an internal water chamber, why won't it work with this model? It's barely any different on the ResMed, so could the tube not be fed through and into the humidifier that way? Or is there some issue with installing it that way, such as the tight angles in the chamber or the possibility of the tube affecting the air flow?
    I'm still debating whether this is something I should consider getting anyway, as I'm very lazy when it comes to keeping it clean and the thought of having a device to take care of it for me is kind of appealing.

    2 major inconveniences of this model when comparing to the S9 version:
    - Adding water to the humidifier is not easy because the SoClean hose is attached to it. There is not an internal removable pan to add water
    - The automatic mode of the S10 interferes when the SoClean try to blow ozone thru the hose into the humidifier chamber. As a result, the cleaning is interrupted. You have to set it as manual.

    Excellent video, thank you. A couple of questions though. I have the AirSense 10 with humidifier and heated tubing. Does the water level in the chamber matter when using the SoClean? Or does water have to be removed before using? I am assuming the mask goes into the SoClean with the heated tubing coming out the side? Does the tubing get sanitized in this situation?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, If you have water in your reservoir, the tube needs to be submerged. In order to get the activated oxygen to clean the water. However, you can also run the SoClean without water in the reservoir. The SoClean will clean the heated tubing as long as you are using the appropriate adapter. Take care.

    I am using the So Clean 2 to clean two AirSense 10 Machines. Can I still run the Air Sense with the reservoir adaptor however not connected to the SoClean 2 when sleeping?

    Can’t decide between the portable SoClean or this unit. Is it ok to clean the mask and hose once a week or is daily cleaning recommended. I’m away from home during the week.

    With the new lid adapter for water chamber, is there a cap for black tubing or do you have to change out lid gasket from SoClean adapter to original adapter with each use?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When using the SoClean 2 with a chamber adapter you simply attach it once and then you can leave the SoClean 2 and your CPAP/BiPAP attached at all times whether you're using the SoClean to clean your device or sleeping with your CPAP/BiPAP.

      Sherri, You can leave your CPAP plugged in when using the SoClean. Take Care!

    I have the Res Med Air Curve 10 with heated tubing and the water reservoir. My SoClean equipment came with the reservoir special lid to exchange with the original reservoir lid that this machine came with. Is this the adapter that you were discussing in your video or do I need to by another adapter from the website for my ResMed Curve 10?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is correct! If you have an AirCurve, you will need the Resmed tubing adapter.

    Great video! I think I know what I'm doing now, except the black thin hose that is feeding the O3 into the water reservoir, is it ok for that hose to be IN the water or should it be trimmed back?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, you do not need to trim the black hose. You must make sure that the black SoClean hose penetrates the surface of the water. If there is not enough water in the chamber, the SoClean will not sanitize it. Take care.

    Great video. One question. When you replace the humidifier lid with the adapter, how does the original lid get cleaned? Do we keep the new adapter lid in the humidifier permanently? Not quite sure what to do here. The rest of the cPap machine is clean, but that original lid has not run through the process.

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Mary, the adapter lid and the entire SoClean can be left attached to your CPAP at all times so you can just keep the original lid as a backup in case it's needed in the future. Take care!

      Thanks. I had the same question. Just to confirm, I can leave the Soclean hose and humidifier adapter on my machine and still use it during normal usage sleep hours? Btw, great info video!

      But..you need to hang on to the original lid for when you travel.

    • @siskiyouwoodsman4279
      @siskiyouwoodsman4279 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For traveling, I would think that a vacuum fitting rubber cap could be pushed on to the plastic tube where you remove the black hose from the SoClean and it should function the same as the original lid. These vacuum caps can be found at any auto parts store. They are called vacuum block off caps and are made of black rubber hose with one end closed (sealed) and the other end open.

    Please, please help me. Do you have to clean your machine with that solution that they sent with the soclean kit. Or can I use some other type of soap?? I ran out of the solution that came in the kit??

  • @DMac-rx3og
    @DMac-rx3og 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thank you for making this video! Super helpful. With the first setup that you described is it necessary to disconnect every night to put the original cover back on before using the machine. Or can you use the machine with the new cover?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, When using the SoClean 2 it is never necessary to detach it, or any adapters, before using your CPAP. It is designed to be left attached all the time. Take care!

    • @DMac-rx3og
      @DMac-rx3og 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      DirectHomeMedical Thank you! I just connected everything and just used it without detaching. I realize now it was probably a goofy question, but thank you for the response!

    • @margaretjackson6426
      @margaretjackson6426 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was not a goofy question. I have been wondering the same thing. I always sleep with the cleaning top still attached. I have never changed it back to the original top. But lately I had been wondering if I was supposed to sleep with it still attached to the so clean machine.

    So I’m trying to understand does this cleaner work while your using the cpap sleeping at night?

    • @DirectHomeMedical
      @DirectHomeMedical  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, the SoClean 2 does not santize your CPAP equipment while your device is in use. After a simple initial setup, SoClean 2 will automatically sanitize your equipment each day so it's clean and ready for you to put on when you go to bed each night. And if you ever want to sanitize your equipment manually -- after a nap or just for extra protection -- it's as easy as the press of a button. Take care.
