Thanks for your video. I learned a lot. It is a really great video. I was wondering if you would do a video on the entire cleaning part of all the relevant parts to clean (demonstration) like the tubes, etc. It would be great if the entire complete setup ( pillows, tubes, etc.) were taken apart, cleaned, then the video showing all the parts being put back in the machine (obviously you'll need an extra set of parts because the parts cleaned would be wet ;) I'm visual and that would be so helpful. Thanks again for your video!

Honestly, I'm tired and can't sleep due to the intense and ongoing pain of 4 broken ribs. I have this cpap but turned on this video thinking it would be just what I need to put me to sleep 😂 What a nice surprise when it was actually interesting and I learned a lot about my machine's use and maintenance! This foreign machine has now become familiar and cleaning is no longer a daunting task. So, while I watched this thinking I'd fall asleep, I watched it all the way through and I'm now going to sleep with a feeling of relief and confidence in caring for this contraption. I’ve been using an old ResMed machine since 2011, and finally decided to get another newer machine. I like this new 11 model. The water tank makes for a messier fill, as my old machine just had a hole in the top to pour the water. This new 11 tank makes you lift off the cover, pour, cover and slide in. I still haven’t done it yet without spilling water!

I’ve been washing the hose, mask, and water chamber every Saturday since I got my first cpap 12/30/22. I had no idea about the inner part I need to remove and wash so thank you!
Also I didn’t know I needed to check my air filter weekly so I’ll be adding that step too. I thought the machine would tell me when it’s time to replace it since it’s so high tech.
I am wondering why it won’t stay connected to my Bluetooth. I keep having to reconnect it. I notice when I close the Airsense app, the Bluetooth indicator goes away. I can’t seem to figure it out.
    Thanks for the info!

Your video was very good. I learned a lot from it. Especially interesting to me was the cleaning information was different from what the service rep told me. I was told to just add water as needed, empty the chamber and clean it once a week and start with new water than.
Also was never told about the piece to take out of the machine to clean.
Do you recommend filtered water or can tap water be used?

New air since 11 the air stinks right out of the machine I can’t stand the smell. They won’t give me a new one. They want to send it back to see what’s wrong. It smells foul in super heated plastic very disappointing what would cause it to smell? It’s not the hose. It’s not the humidifier chamber. You can turn on the machine without the hose on and just air for a short time comes out and it stinks.

I think this was a good video, I would have liked to see you demonstrate the machine with you putting on the mask connecting the hoses. What is the correct procedure during the night & you need to use the bathroom. Do you take the mask off shut the machine or do you leave the mask on disconnect the hose leave the machine running then reconnect the hose and go back to bed. I'm a senior and I get up 3 to 4 times a night to pee what do you recommend. Also, do I really need to go thru the menu to use it or just turn it on use it and then in the morning or whenever I get up just shut if off. What is the best way to clean the hoses and how do you ensure that no water is left in the hose before using it again. Thank you

I wish they'd answer your questions. I have the same questions..I am wondering what is the recommended procedure when taking the mask off a few times during the night. I'm figuring that removing the mask for a restroom break might cause the Sleep Report to falsely report that mask isn't sealing. For example, should I enable autostart and autostop? Right now, I only have autostart enabled. Thanks!

    1. This new model doesn't seem to ever completely "power off" like the older 10 model?

It will run for a while to cool down. Video link below will explain that a bit.
SoClean is simple, but it will put Ozone inside the CPAP. So early corrosion or issues may occur. Might just mean that you have to get a new CPAP earlier than if you weren't using Ozone in the CPAP.

I am a CPAP user for almost 25 years. My health insurance provides me with a new CPAP machine every 5 years. To date I have used 4 machines, and in 2022 I got ResMed AirSense11 as my last CPAP machine. None of the previous brand machines ever failed in their 5 years, but ResMed failed (humidifier does not work, no heater..), in less than 1 year.
I noticed AirSense10 has DIY instructions on how to replace the heater fuse. No instruction as such is available for AirSense11.
I live in Ontario, Canada. Couldn't find any AirSense11 service providers. May I kindly ask you what to do to have this fixed?

Your videos are very informative. I was just recently diagnosed with (Moderate Obstructive sleep apnea) yesterday and was told I needed a (Auto Titrating Cpap) guessing which mean auto cpap?!? I need a machine that is (DOT Compliant) and was wondering what stuff do i need on the machine. Heated humidifier stuff like that. And also got a prescription and my sleep report too. Trying to figure out what machine is right for me.

Thanks for watching. If you are a needing DOT reporting then you should definitely consider how the reports are generated. The AirSense 11, and Luna G3 have wireless reporting and work great for getting Compliance reports. The Luna 2 is also good, but you have to pull the data on your own with the SD card on your Home Computer. Links to all of these options below as started bundles which come with everything that you need to get going.

Was getting ready to send comments, they got erased, starting again. grrr Was caught in Phillips recall .Have Airsense 11 now. Use 2-30 min prewarms (water in tub barely warm) & turn on mach for little while to let heated hose warm up. When warm & blowing warm air , attach mask. In 5--10 min hose cools down & blows cold air. When get up in night, hose still blowing cold air. When get back in bed, hose is warming up & air is getting warm. Attach mask, hose & air cool off in a few minutes. Always blowing cold air in AM. Heat plate is hot & water is warm. This is #3 mach & heated hose. Hose set @ 84* (tried 78* 1st, nothing) humidity @ 5. Have tried several different masks, results are same. Have been back to provider many times. Feel like i'm going crazy! Anyone else having this problem?

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  ปีที่แล้ว

Because the CPAP is monitoring your room conditions, it may not heat. Keep in mind that they humidifier system is not really built to heat the air as much as to add humidity. It add the humidity by heating the water so that more will evaporate into the air you are breathing. If your room is already humid, then it may not heat at all.

I got the 11 to replace the 10 and see very little difference. Water tank is same as 10 when filled just as tricky loading into the machine. Touch screen is no great upgrade because 10 you moved by line and 11 move by screen grouping. Would rather they keep same heating tubing as 10 would also be better of bought extra tubing since big enough investment. Only big change is coming to presser the 10 blow air fast through the hose making a feeling of mask blowing up like a balloon while 11 is very gentle flow and I don't get that mask blow-up feel. Mine came preset with regular hose so ordered heated hose not cheap. Oh and I never had 10 update OS at lest I know

I got mine a few days before Christmas 2023, and then went traveling. The first night in the hotel, a weekend, my machine was FREEEZING my face. It hasn't happened since then, or before. What do you think was going on? I can call my provider in two more days, but of course, it's on weekend/holiday days, that I have the question. And not much I can do about it til we get home. I am curious about the Heated Tubing, vs regular that you are mentioning. I couldn't say which I have as I didn't bring the packaging with me.

    • @CPAPmyway
      @CPAPmyway  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

The temp of the air coming from the CPAP is mostly dictated by the room temp where you are sleeping. The heated tube will help that significantly if you feel like it is just too cold.

I am wondering what is the recommended procedure when taking the mask off a few times during the night. I'm figuring that removing the mask for a restroom break might cause the Sleep Report to falsely report that mask isn't sealing. For example, should I enable autostart and autostop? Right now, I only have autostart enabled. Thanks!

Having had their air sense 10 and experienced it's 3g uploading being killed off due to age I wish this thing had WiFi support. No sense using a cell carrier esp if they aren't going to upgrade it as the unit ages. Is it using 5g or LTE on this model? Eventually LTE will be discontinued as well like 3g before it. Just checked data sheet.. it's LTE. Dammit.

The AirCurve 10 tubing will not connect to the AirSense 11. AS of today the Airsense 11 Bilevel/Bipap has not been released. So the current AirSense 11 models at all Auto CPAP or fixed CPAP.

I’m new to CPAP and used my 11 for the first time last night. I was surprised at how quiet it is. One thing I noticed is that tonight I need to use the chin strap that I received with the machine to keep from mouth breathing! I have a long beard and mustache, and according to my report this morning, the seal on my nasal mask was good all night.
So far, one question I have is about the temperature setting. Options are automatic or selecting a specific temperature. I like to sleep in a cold bedroom, so I set the temperature at 67°F. Does lowering the temperature like I did turn off the humidifier? I couldn’t tell whether or not it did or not because the reservoir of water was still very close to the “max“ line this morning. Mine came with heated tubing if that makes any difference.

    • @CPAPmyway

Great video and very informative! I just started using new 11 after 6 years of 10. My recent complaint is the water tank is smaller and uses all the water in 8 hours. The 10 had a larger tank and I would only use half the tank even with more than 8 hours of sleep. I’m concerned about damaging the unit if all the water evaporates should I sleep past 8 hours. Should I be concerned or is there a humidifier setting that needs adjustment?

Twice I have awakened during the night and there didn't seem to be any airflow coming through my machine even though I was wearing the mask and the machine appeared to be turned on. Also, the program shows that I take my mask off multiple times during the night, but I go to sleep with it on and wake up with it on and I haven't been out of bed. This is almost always due to massive leaks. The machine will think that you have taken the mask off and it will shut down. This video will show you exactly what I mean. Even if the leak average is good this can be the issue.

That is usually because something is way off or you don't have the mask on when you turn the CPAP on. Take it all back apart, including the humidifier chamber. Then reassemble. Make sure your mask is on your face before you turn the CPAP back on.

Why doesn't it have a valve for exhaling? The way it's set up you breath in what you breath out as far as I can see. Couldn't they have put in a valve that unlocks when you exhale? It could be controlled by the CPAP machine? If that valve was there than there's be a lot more oxygen going into the users mouth. Am I missing something?

Exhalation happens on the mask, not on the CPAP machine. You will feel the exhalation port on most masks pretty obviously.

I just got my FIRST CPAP, the AirSense11. I started with an AirTouch N20 nasal mask, but found I started mouth breathing once I fell into a deep sleep, which woke me up. I switched to a AirFit F20 full-face. The full-face mask doesn't seem to push nearly as much air volume as I experienced with the N20. Does this seem normal? With the N20 there was a noticeable stream of air constantly being expelled from the mask, with the F20 I can barely feel any air coming out of the mask, which makes me wonder if it's forcing enough air into my nose/mouth???

That is a normal feeling. When you are able to exhale into a large space like a full face mask, it can feel like a lot less pressure. You may also want to adjust the mask selection on your settings to full face if it is still on nasal.

@@CPAPmyway I agree. Having used all the diff types of masks, yes the full face feels the least amount of pressure because the volume is larger, and therefore far more comfortable in my opinion.

You can clean that tube the same as standard tube. Soap and water, rinse well, Dry very well before use.

I'm new to using a CPAP machine. I just want to know, if the power goes out in the middle of the night, can I suffocate with the mask on?

If the power goes out you will still be able to breath.

I am blind. You mentioned the touch screen being an issue. Is it still usable? Or what machine do you recommend? This is the machine that I am supposed to be receiving soon.

Touch screens are very tough for the blind. Once you have it setup though I do not think you will have to adjust much.

Looking forward to getting my new 11. I have been using an old S9 and the noise it makes has started to really hinder my sleeping.

We have a ton of customers that love the AirSense 11 for sure.

Why does it shut off in the middle of the night? It’s happened about 6 times now - once twice in one night. Very scary the first few times. Some say to reboot but that’s ridiculous.

There is usually an easy resolution to that. Check out the link with video below. Hopefully an easy fix for you.

We do have a great blog to help with mask fitting. Probably the best place to start, because there are quite a few variables. Link below.
