    Apparently some CPAP device companies like Resmed say that using an ozone device can void your warranty. This is from their website" ResMed has observed that prolonged and repeated use of an ozone device may eventually cause internal damage to a ResMed machine, leading to an increase in motor noise. The ResMed limited warranty excludes damage to ResMed machines caused by use of ozone devices." You might want to mention that in future reviews of cleaners

      Thank you for that! Yes I have spoken to Resmed representatives. and was told that the use of Ozone "May" void the warranty. But yes you are correct, I am not sure it ever has though.

    I just bought a SoClean 2 and I love it! The company sent me a new water chamber lid for my ResMed AirSense 10 so it will clean the mask, hose and chamber all at once. There is a small ozone smell if you let the mask sit in the cleaner all day but it doesn't bother me at all. I like the clean smell. It is a great company, shipping is fast, and they sent me extra parts. So far I cannot see any negatives with this cleaner. I am still rinsing and cleaning the parts with the cleaning solution they sent me in the box every few days.

      Thanks for sharing! Yes, I usually tell patient's as well. If they need to let the products sit out and air out for an hour or so, if it bothers them. Also the SoClean 2 does not clean the inside of the machine effecting any type of materials inside for safety. Thank you for commenting, let us know if anything is needed!

      @@Sleeplayground Exxxaaactly! The ozone is contained within the plastic water chamber and other plastic parts. I can't see how it could possibly damage the machine. Anyway mine works great and i will continue to use it. Very helpful cleaner!

    Do the UV sanitizers sanitize both the inside and outside of the tubing?

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They clean just the outside of the tubes unfortunately!

    SoClean themselves no longer consider the SoClean 2 a "CPAP Cleaner" but an "Automated Supplemental PAP Maintenance Device" and users must follow their CPAP-manufacturer's instructions for cleaning their PAP accessories. The SoClean is intended for use as a SUPPLEMENT to you hand cleaning your device.

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! Most of the Sanitizing units even with the use of the devices recommend that you wash in warm water and mild dish detergent once a week also. Thank you for sharing! We appreciate watching our videos,.

    Has anyone tried the Paptizer? Does it leave a strong odor? I have Tracheobronchomalacia, EDAC, Asthma, and immunocompromised. It's very important for me to keep it sanitized. I don't want the ozone one's.

      Hi,
      Good question, according to the manufacturer. It is not supposed to leave behind a residual smell at all.

  • @elizabethG633

    The So Clean 2 tells you in the instructions to set the machine for 7 minutes, and then let the ozone dissipate. I usually do mine when I get up, then by the time I go to bed there is no odour.

    • @Sleeplayground
      @Sleeplayground  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      Thanks for reaching out! These sanitizers keep the products sanitized. You need to clean once a week warm soapy water as recommended still. To get off any calcium build up and oils etc. left behind by the units.

    My SoClean 3 quit working after 2 years, 2 months from original purchase. Called customer service, and they stated warranty is only 2 years. Did nothing for me. Offered new one at 250.00 dollars to replace. Will never buy anything from them again.

    • @Sleeplayground

      Sorry to hear that! Most of the CPAP machines and devices are also 2 year warranties. I am surprised they offered the new one at a discounted price at all.

    This is specifically NOT recommended by the FDA. Why would you be recommending this? Do you realize there is a class action MDL against the company. I would take this down right away otherwise you may dragged into this lawsuit.

      @@dirtwhisperer658 well not only was there a recall on it in 2022 ... There is a class action lawsuit against the company (Just Google and do your research) (or ask your CPAP doctor or call Phillips) A class action lawsuit filed earlier this week claims that SoClean CPAP cleaning machines are not safe, since they emit high levels of ozone gas that should not be used around by humans or animals.

    Whether in its pure form or mixed with other chemicals, ozone can be harmful to health. When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts of ozone can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and, throat irritation.Jun 27, 2023.

    This chick is brutal… corrects herself 3 times in the first 38 seconds. Should have rehearsed clean vs sanitize before recording. Also should have taken the time to at least learn what colour the test card indicate ( for effectiveness remaining ) on last product. She thinks it’s purple. I don’t know if it purple ….BUT … I am not selling the product.
