These kinds of theories completely miss the point of the stories they talk about and how stories are actually written. Stories are not a bunch of facts, twists and mysteries, they're built around coherents themes and characters, they mean something. Picking away at a story like that is indeed sad.

a great movie and one of Kevin Bacon's best roles he really loses himself in the performance when I watch the movie I can honestly say I don't even see Kevin all I see is the role

This is a superb analysis of the movie. It just struck me how the 2 old men are facing similar problems of not giving up on their past.
Moreover, it is a great message to move on from your past achievements and failures and look forward to newer experiences that life can bring about.
Yeah, the main difference between Carl and Charles (just noticed they have very similar names) is that Charles ultimately can't let go of his past, and that's what ends up killing him. He helps Carl realize how unhealthy it can become to hold on his past (to unhealthy limits, how long was he hunting that bird, what the hell?).
Not only that, but the movie lets you think that maybe if the world is changing around you and becomes menacing, like in the beginning when his house is surrounded by buildings, you should pack your things and go. Maybe not the best advice in every case, because if you let yourself move around by everyone, you might end up in a bad place.
Only problem I have with the movie is Charles really was wronged and there IS something he could do about it. Maybe if he didn't kill those other people he could've actually accomplished it. Carl on the other hand couldn't do anything about his wife's infertility or dying. Soooo... Don't give up on your dreams, but don't kill the people who could help?

Many don´t know the earthlings had sequel to this movie which was very controversial because of its change in style from animation to musical. It´s called uptown funk starring Bruno Mars on his Mission to make coffee

Not to be that guy, but I think it's just one "B, A" not, "B, A, B, A". It's been awhile since I used the Konami code though...
The first time I watched this movie, when Carl started to clear out the house to make it lighter and through away all his stuff to remember Ellie by, I immediately burst into tears and sobbed the rest of the movie and have since been convinced that UP is the saddest movie of all time
Most people only see the first 10 minutes. But seriously? THIS moment has the most weight for me. The moment Carl threw the first thing out and had an epiphany, I was done...
The first 10 minutes were the setup, this was the payoff, and it was GLORIOUS!
Yeah, I cried the first ten minutes the first time I saw the movie, but that scene is what makes me cry every time.
Yeah I teared up when he went through the photo album and all this time he thought he had to fulfil his promise to Ellie when in fact she filled it with photos of their wonderful life together and wrote "Thank you for the adventure of a lifetime. Now go start another adventure."
DAMN you pixar.... ANd I'm 38 years old...
It's definitely one of the most beautiful movies of all time.

Is this channel at it’s end? Viewership grew from 60k to 120k and then dropped off to around 60k Again, and we’ve not seen new vids in a while now.
I always thought the main theme is Adventure. Carl believes she failed to give Ellie the adventure he promised, Russell is a wilderness scout seeking adventure as well, Charles Muntz refuses to give up his life of adventure until he captures Kevin. At the end of the movie, Carl and Russell become friends now knowing that spending everyday life with people you care about can be a great adventure.
The writing and delivery of these jokes is always spot on. I miss you guys.

It took me a couple of vids to figure out why I found everything about them somewhat familiar, and finally realized you have the same comedy styling as Mark Schroeder, aka Garyx Wormuloid from Alien's Guide. Good stuff, kudos.
