Gotta luv learning. With your main sail issues. You always raise the main sail facing the wind so that it doesn’t get caught on anything. Then you bear away towards the direction you want to head. If you do that first you will also shelter your headsail which helps with deploying that as well. All good fun!
Thank you for the tips. Yes we have issues on multiple levels hahah 1. That we don’t know what we’re doing and 2. some of the rigging needs updating and renewing, but we will make it work!!! Thanks for the message 🙌
Well done guys how many of us have seen these places on land but this is a whole new experience great to see each episode and to do on yacht is complete new and exciting experience again well done happy and safe sailing😎
Thank you, yes looking at everything from the water certainly gives us a new perspective and we love sharing the adventure. Thank you for your well wishes and for watching 🙌🙌
Great video, you are showing the world a part of Australia very few have seen and in a way even fewer have done. You knew it wasn't going to be easy before you left but you decided to go for it. Now many are being educated and entertained by your bravery and efforts (some would say naive stupidity has played a role as well haha). But great video, I watch every second and never had a thought to skip through or fast forward. Well done! Looking forward to your next edition. Stay safe out there and keep smiling 🍻🍻
Thank you, we love hearing that you are enjoying the videos and 💯agree that there is a big part of naivety stupidity involved, but we are also trying to stay safe and enjoy the adventure as it unfolds. Thanks for taking the time to message and of course for watching 🙌🙌🙌
Great to see you guys being cautious. I must say though that you appear to be a lot more relaxed. You'll build your skills & learn heaps as yiu progress. Its a beautiful looking area. Just keep your feet away from the "local inhabitants." 😊
We are finding it more enjoyable as we start to get familiar with the boat and our surrounds. Hopefully we are master sailors by the time we get back to perth!!! Hahah yes the locals certainly kept us out of the water!!!!! 😝 thanks for watching
Ok, every time i watch you two, it tells me that being a land lover isn't a bad thing, lol. You are very carefull in your approach to sailing .It does seem to be the case that western Australia's coast is very open without to many safe plces to get shelter. Good luck and dont let those last few swimmers get to close.
@@deanissit land loving was a lot easier we can confirm, but then we knew that heading into this. What we have seen so far has been worth all the sleepless nights and elevated stress levels 😝. Next episode we will fill you in on our visit with those ‘locals’ hahaha Thanks as always for watching.
Hi you two, o dear those floating handbags are huge and you certainly have some balls floating out there in that tiny blowup dinghy. You couldn’t pay me enough to float out there in that thing with those monsters out there searching for a meal. And no wonder you was on your own out there 🥴🥴🫣. Love the yacht though but I suppose it will take a while for you guys to get your sea legs and learn the ropes so to speak. Stay safe Jon 🇦🇺WA 👏👏😂😂
Hey, yes the floating handbags are a lot larger than we expected and we did think we must stay away from rocks as there is no way we’d be swimming back to the boat here if we pop the dingy!!!!! Thank you, yes we love it most days… def a few days we might trade it but that’s part of the adventure 😝😬. Thanks as always for watching
We are having a great time most days… with the occasional day or Terror thrown in to keep things real 😝No, no fishing for us as we don’t eat meat so only catching photos 🙌🙌
“Navy Ship” maybe or Patrol boat to be more accurate The Army do have boats but they are small Yes you can call it a Chinese Laundry, don’t be so worried about offending the snowflakes Fantastic country up there, seeing it from the water must be a great experience Love your episodes 👍
@@nzmarkb8713 oh hahah yes a patrol boat would make more sense 😜. Yer so many old sayings that you don’t really think about until you’re older and understand the meaning behind them, but never meant in a bad way. It is stunning and although we were a little uneasy being ‘trapped’ by the weather it was an amazing place to be. Thanks for watching!
@@tristanhali8252 hahaha yer all those special spots that have aren’t quite what you expected when you get there 😝. I guess we could have found some berries and leaves on land or requested a helicopter care pack be dropped 🐠f🎣💙😝
I LOVE the washing blowing in the wind!!!!!!
Hahah yer I don’t notice it when we are filming but then in editing all I see is our undies 😝😝😝😝😝

Another hair raising episode, love it. You could have used that broom handle for a friendly tap on the head of that croc. Keep up the great work.
Hahah believe me, that broom handle was no where long enough to be going anywhere near that croc!!!!!!! 😱🐊 😜

That croc can easily climb in, Malcolm Douglas used to Jerry rig nets around his boat at night to stop the crocs climbing on board.
Yip. We realised how low our sugar scoops are and how easy it would be to climb aboard 😬😬😱😱
I hope you are having a good time do you catch any fish while you are going All the best Ron

Do you use satellite image overlays to help to confirm reef locations. I think it’s called Omnistar.
Hey, we use a combination of the Lowrance chart plotter map, Navionics and Google Earth to see as much as we can in regard to reefs, sandbars etc. 😃
Everyone giving you their awesome camping spots hey? Trust no-one😅.
If only there was somewhere out there you could get more food...........

What time of the year was this filmed
Most of the footage was filmed in June :)
