Hi guys, wow I like your Yacht very exciting and can we look forward to you both sailing off to some exotic island as you wonder round the world looking forward more exiting times. I hope that you two are handy type persons as I am sure you know that anything on salt water requires a lot of looking after. I can’t believe that pipe work from your yacht was running in circles from the bilge why would they do that? I hope the bilge pump works ok when needed worth checking out🥴🥴. Looking forward to the videos 🤗🤗. So take care you two and enjoy life while your young and free😊. Jon 🇦🇺 WA
Hey Jon 👋 thank you we like it too but can’t wait to get it back to perth to make a few changes to make it even better!!! We hope to sail off to exotic islands for sure, but first we will stay around aust as we learn what we are doing. Chris is very handy with most things which is lucky as buying an older boat and as you say being on salt water we are sure many issues will pop up along the way. Thanks for the message and for watching!!! 🙌
Hey Paul, thanks for coming down to say hi. Apologies for being a little distracted, it was a hectic day of refuelling and re-supplying food to the boat before some heavy winds came through.
Subscribed. I also live in Perth and I flew in that exact same glider a couple of years ago (VH-GAP) after learning to fly gliders in Newman in the '80s. I liked the way the winglets looked like they were giving the finger to the Earth when turning. We're also planning on turning some real estate into a floating home in which to pour money. Good luck.
Hey Ian, excited to have your onboard the adventure with us and awesome that you’re also from Perth!! 🙌 We had a fun day out with the gliding club and can see how it could easily become an addictive hobby! Exciting times ahead for you also by the sounds!!! We hope you find the perfect boat for what you’re looking to do! And yes people may joke about it, but the pouring of the money has begun for us 😬😱😜
great video. I've seen a couple of those boats that you looked at. It's a shame you didn't get onboard the 'Schionning' in Perth. I spent a few hours onboard around 18 months ago. It's beautiful........ but not quite what I was after
Hey Graeme, we actually also spent a couple of hours onboard the schionning, I just didn't capture any footage of it at the time. We did love it as well, and it was very well made, but as you said we felt the same in that it wasn't quite right for us. Thanks for the message and for watching :)
Hey Ron, thank you 🙏 We can’t wait to share our steep learning curve as we learn to sail and also explore the coast line on our way back down to perth. Thanks as always for watching!!!!
Haha sure is!!!! We loved caravanning but always found ourselves staring out at the water wondering what was on the isolated islands etc, so guess we will now be able to find out 🙌🙌🙌 thanks for watching !!!
Didn’t see that one coming , excited for you Pretty sure in all videos you never mentioned sailing a yacht. Don’t forget to put all the fun stuff about learning to sail if you haven’t already ups an downs because that’s what we like to watch ☺️ . I’m not a yacht watching TH-camr but this is going to be exciting to watch as its left of field of you’re previous videos and are you going to travel Australia and maybe beyond the world is your oyster . Well done guys
Hey Paul, it was a hard thing to keep quiet thats for sure, as we were excited for the change. In the old videos we often found ourselves having coffee at yacht clubs or walking that marinas hoping someone might welcome us onboard 😝😝😝, but you’re right we didn’t say anything outright about it. We will certainly try to capture the very steep learning curve that is to come and share as much as we can. Appreciate you sticking with us as we cross transportation modes!!! Yes Australia for now, but one day we will head for international waters all going well. Thanks for watching🙌
Welcome back this will be quite a change for you have seen a few people go from boat to caravan but not the other way around good luck hope all goes well for you both. Plans overseas local any sailing experience
It is certainly a big change that’s for sure!!!!!!! We are excited for the learning curve though, aways good to learn new skills! Plans to stay around aust for a start as we learn the boat, make some changes to her, as well as learning how to sail efficiently… but following that we do hope to venture into international waters one day
Which websites were you looking at to find your catamaran or did you use a broker to look for you ? We are thinking of moving onto a liveaboard catamaran but don’t really know where to start
It was hard to be honest. We used every website we could find and had to take many trips all around the country… but that was due to what we wanted and our budget, so if you’re after something more common it might be easier. We did have a broker help us with the paper work though once we found the one we wanted to buy!!! Good luck with your boat search… it’s an exciting and sometimes frustrating experience but will be worth it when you get your boat 🙌🙌🙌
yip thanks, we have updated what we could to catch that error, but some elements we can't change now they are live.... we made a spelling mistake in the excitement to finally get a new video out 🥲
