    Good honest video showing the struggles we street photographers have from time to time trying to get the “banger”. Shot #4 the sleeping guy in the cowboy hat, I was surprised you never took it from the other side with the Wild West store in the background, would have made for a nice juxtaposition. Thanks again for sharing 📷👍

      City Street thanks Chris! In all honesty I’m not sharp enough yet to see things that well. I was so panicked at just getting a shot of him. I’ve always envied folks who can spot a juxtaposition.

      @@TheLiamGordon It takes time to develop and eye and also lots of luck. But you have to be out on the streets to make it happen and you're doing that so it'll happen

      I don’t learn very quickly either 😂

    Those shots from inside the bus are interesting. I've never actually been in them but now I want to.

    Instructive post, Liam. Appreciate your candor, commentary, and numbered images. Group meet-ups can, indeed, have disadvantages of shooting same/similar stuff and not straying far from each other. On the other hand, added company means better security. 9 my fav, for framed bus driver. No, you shouldn’t have to run after your subjects😁. Still after pigeon? Hang in there and offer some of their favorite food; you’ll get the perfect shot. 4 min of dead space at end of vid - in a hurry? Lesson learned, I suppose 😃. Re: aux shutter button, convex and concave sometimes provided - some prefer convex. Have you tried both kinds? Suggest vid about “layers in street photography” - you touch on this interesting subject; one that IMO deserves more detailed discussion and illustration. Cheers!

      Paul M Thanks Paul. I think I prefer shooting with someone else now. I tend to feel more brave and less creepy 😂 I think I’ll always photograph birds in the streets when I get the chance... Yes, I was in a hurry to finish the edit. I was short on time and had a busy weekend ahead (outdoor wedding to photograph). Silly mistake. Layering video is a good idea. I’ll put it down in my notes! Thanks Paul! I have tried both types of shutter button and I’ll talk a bit about it in another video (there’s an accessory video next week which I’ve already recorded so it might not quite address it. But I’ll get there 🙂)

      Bloccka Thanks. Much appreciated :) I’m using a modified classic chrome to look like Kodachrome. If you google “fuji x weekly recipes” you’ll find the settings

    hi. fine video but did i missed the settings?

    • @TheLiamGordon
      @TheLiamGordon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      jan klein no you’re right. I didn’t put them in. I keep forgetting to say them at the start of the video. Most of the time it’s f11 1/500 or f8 1/500 ISO-Auto. When I was indoors, in the tunnel I think I went to 1/250

      @@TheLiamGordon thanks liam for your quick information. by the way, you see on a lot of videos how they take the photographs but not how the settings are or the custom settings.espacially when the picture has a hard contrast with a lot of black space. this should be well explaind by a good tutor. cheers jan

    • @TheLiamGordon
      @TheLiamGordon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      jan klein I understand, Jan. I used to put the settings on each picture after someone requested it but it added so much time to my edit that I had to stop doing it... part of the decision is that the exposure settings are of little consequence to the final image. In situations with lots of black space, it’s usually a result of having lighting conditions that make it possible and exposing for the highlights which will automatically make the shadows darker... It is also quite common nowadays that the look/style of an image is mostly created with lots of editing. You have just gave me an idea for a video though, so thank you. I appreciate your comments 🙏
