    Yes! This Journey strap is exactly the type of strap I am looking for for my R6 as well, I have been scouring the web trying to find one that is thicker around where it touches your neck/shoulder, but slim everywhere else. The Peak Design straps besides the Leash are all soooo bulky. It looks like people walking around with a full on seatbelt on and it just gets in the way when you raise the camera to your eye. I will have to check this out. Thanks for sharing.

      @@_noahrh thanks for watching! After I made this video I cut the anchor links off the old peak design straps and put them on the journey strap. It works pretty great if you ever like to remove the strap!

    I use the Leica M strap on a Peak Design Field pouch and put my Leica in there (sometimes with a wrist strap). So when it comes out it's anchor-less and no fuss. But the bag it self stays on one should or cross body no problem. Also love a basic leather strap too. Leicas tend to have pretty flush back sides which carry better against your body.

      Oh interesting! That’s cool that you kinda crafted your own version of a sling bag. Nice idea!

    Well you won't belive me if I say that I found an easy cheap lightweight solution for lightheight cameras. A 1cm nylon flat strap from a passport neck holder that is adjustable in lenght and has hooks to hook in those camera triangles. Sometimes I like to shoot from the hip with the strap on a crossbody position, and some times I just detach it and use a wrist strap that is a soft cord that is always atached to it. Tried many straps and always dislike it. This worked very well for me an very cheap alternative.

    hi Liam. Precisely which model strap did you get? could not tell if it was the friendship strap or the medium. Looks to be a very comfortable fit.

    • @TheLiamGordon
      @TheLiamGordon  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I got the medium so it would hold my canon r6 with its big lenses. It felt good on smaller cameras too but the friendship one will probably work great if you have a more compact camera.

    I had an upstrap maybe 20 years ago and loved it. Then it was grippy on both sides. I like a shoulder carry too. Wonder where that is?

    • @TheLiamGordon
      @TheLiamGordon  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh yeah, I've seen a few photos of the older style. It really shocked me how simple and effective the strap is and how long it's been around for.

      I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them until recently 🤷‍♂️

    • @JoshWBergeron
      @JoshWBergeron 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be fair, I only heard of them because Jay Maisel had them. Also, they aren't really a "cool" and "popular" street photo kind of strap, to be honest, I've never seen them on any YT street photography channel. They are sticky (don't glide) and don't coming in various colors and materials, but they are 100% business and bombproof IMO. They are great sitting on the shoulder and will stick like glue, with no bounce or stretch. I'm glad you did a video on them! Nice to see you posting again Liam! @@TheLiamGordon

      Thanks mate. Yeah I found very little mention of them online except maybe a few old forum posts. I should really have taken some close ups and showed it off a bit more but I drive myself nuts trying to make videos complex and visually interesting 😅
