      I use the RODE taking sound out of a mixer and into the Mevo. It works very well. On that one I’m using the headphones out on the board.

    Can I use my Shure mic with my Mevo Start Multi cam set up? I cannot get my SD card to play the audio on my PC after my recording. It recorded it live, but the sound card will not play the sound???

    Hello Jason, very good info, we are about to use 3 mevo starts for church livestream, can you tell me what device you use to get the sound from the soundboard in the rear of the church to a mevo start in the front? I know you mentioned a rode wireless go, is that all that is needed to get the job done? is a cable needed to go from the sound board into the rode transmitter? Many thanks

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m using an XLR to 3.5mm cable found on at local music shop (amazon also has them) going from a Main Balanced Out to the RODE. Be sure and test the sound on the stream end as you may need to adjust the ‘line/mic’ toggle in the Mevo sound settings.

    Sorry another question. Are we to be monitoring the mevo camera and the external mics through the app? Because we don't do that. The person who purchased this system and basically runs it does not use any app to adjust the camera or the sound just his laptop and zoom platform.

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would think you need to know what your levels are for adjustment. If you are listening to the output to zoom I guess you have what you need.

    But does the Mevo Multicam app has capability to use the sound from one mixer while streaming with three cameras?

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ran mixed sound from through a RODE wireless Go into one of my Starts Sunday. Still had to make sure the sound options were set in 2.0 before going into Multicam but it worked.

    Hey Jason this is such a helpful video. If I hookup a ride wireless sound from the board to the mevo using the USB c, would the internal mevo audio AND the ride wireless be included in the mevo feed?

    • @JasonHoffmanYT

      So long as you have them both on in the app’s audio settings, yes!

    Hello, dear colleague, I ordered a Mivo start just a couple of days ago and I was wondering how do handle the different "vocal or audio" situations during the Sunday service. Your video was very helpful. Thank you. But I have a question: how do you handle/solve the audio latency using a Rode wireless go or a Seramonic system? I would prefer to get the audio from our mixer consolle in order to get profit of the several wireless microphones that we already use and are connected to it. It's a pity the the Mevo engineers didn't develop an App that can handle both the video direction and the audio sources. Because as it is now, as far I understood, Mevo needs two different smartphones or tablets for handling video direction and audio. Greetings form the Reformed church of Lugano (Switzerland).

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Latency is not an issue running from my sound board to my Mevo and out on the live stream when using the Rode. It has a 6ms latency which is fast enough to line up with the video on the stream. The Mevo 2.0 app controlling your Mevo camera can use the device its running on as an audio input. In the sound settings of the 2.0 app, look for Edit Inputs at the bottom of the screen. You'll have the option of using the controlling device (or any audio source plugged into it) as an audio input for your stream. Thanks for the feedback!

      @@JasonHoffmanYT Sorry, Jason, another question! Also the Rode can be plugged in the USB-C port? A special cable is needed? Since I read that some users have several issues with the internet connection, rather than buying a 2,4Ghz product (which uses the same frequency of internet), I was considering a system which uses UHF like the Comica BoomX-U U2 which can use also 2 transmitters. My daughter uses the Sennheiser UHF system for her film/video productions, but for the church this equipment is far too expensive (at least 800 €/£).

    • @JasonHoffmanYT
      @JasonHoffmanYT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve heard good things about the comica system. The rode can be plugged in to the usb c port when using a trs to usb-c adapter BUT you’ll be using the 5ghz WiFi for the mevo, not the 2.4ghz so that will not interfere.

    Hello Mr. Jason, my name is Don Swann I am deaf and I notice one of your videos with a split screen process with the Mevo cameras, I have bought 2 Mevo Cameras and wanting to do the Split Screen Process. One camera on a interpreter and the other camera on a hearing speaking teacher going the same time on one screen. How to go about this?

      You can do split screen in TopDirector app. I’ve started testing it and it’s promising.
