We just took another 3 week 'online only' break due to covid. When we are in person, we FM broadcast for the cars in our parking lot and several will drive up and listen instead of coming in. Thanks for continuing to minister!
At this point MEVO and Logitech needs to cut your a check. You are the reason I bought these cameras and inspiring others to do so as well, So I was down at the church setting up the cameras that went fine for the most part, but when I went to link to my social media platform of TH-cam I got that crazy message, but once again you had add the answer thank you my friend.

I was given a mevo camera to help make our experience better. I keep running into roadblocks trying to figure it out. Your video has helped me to a point. I can't figure out how to copy/paste the proper information on my iphone to the mevo app. Would it be possible to chat with you, if you have the time? I’d be glad to! You’ll have to be in the desktop version of TH-cam Studio to get the stream url and stream key to plug into the Mevo app. You can go there in Safari on your iphone and choose ‘request desktop app’ in the url window. That option is in the little AA at the top left.
Good morning Jason I thought I had this solved but I don't! When we went to use this Sunday I only got the FB stream. I got the TH-cam to show the livestream once with FB but when I tried again it won't start again. The settings are the same but I only get FB live. Dave

@@churchoftheincarnationmorr6585 ok. We have found the problem. In order to get multi-streaming to work to more than one destination at a time you will have to use a service like restream or castr. The RTMP stream URLs and Stream Keys for YT and FB are pasted in their service. The restream or castr RTMP url and key you gain access to when you buy a subscription to one of them gets put in Mevo Multicam so your stream can be sent through their service to YT and FB.
Jason, I am using the mevo to stream for youth baseball games, my question is, can I set everything up from my iPhone to the mevo camera from RTMP on youtube? If you so do you have instructions you can share? Thank you!
Is it possible to set up the stream in advance? We had been scheduling our streams so people would have the link in advance. Not seeing how that is possible with just an RTMP.
I’ve not tried yet but it appears so. When you click the ‘Go Live’ button on TH-cam studio desktop version the next screen that shows will have a calendar icon at the far left where you should be able to schedule your stream. I’ll do a quick test to confirm.
I was able to schedule and see the preview but had to go back in after start time and click the blue Go Live button in studio. I did not have Autostart checked tho. Have you had a chance to play with it?

Glad you found it helpful! I’m streaming via iPad or iPhone. There isn’t a Mevo app for any desktop, although it will connect to a computer as a webcam or via NDI for use in third party apps like OBS.

We are using this at our school of ministry to record as well as have students join remote/live if necessary. Does this automatically record? I'm getting the message that we have to backup to SD card which is what we are trying to prevent if possible. Any help you can lend would be amazing. great instruction!
I think Mevo app still records automatically and asks at the end of the stream if you want to keep that copy on the sd card. In Multicam app you have to tell it to record before you start. Thanks

Is it recommended to use an ipad as the controller for live streaming instead of your mobile phone? This is to avoid any live stream interuptions with any incoming calls.

The Mevo is a great solution for live streaming! 1. yes, when you schedule it in the web browser version of TH-cam studio there is this option in the ‘edit’ box. 2. yes, see above 3. no 4. their partnership isn’t as deep as it was before Logitech bought Mevo. As best I can tell, Vimeo is only a multi-stream service for Mevo now. But restream and castr do the same. 5. I prefer the larger screen. Putting your device in ‘do not disturb’ will keep interruptions at bay.
Your video is so helpful but I cant get the mevo app on my macbook. Super frustrated because its so easy on my ipad!!! Don't have the 1000 subscribers yet but I know theres a way to do it... I have the webcam app but is't there another app ??? SOrry I know its a dumb question !!!
OBS is the only one I’ve spent any time with. It does everything you ask it to but you’ll have to study up on it. Syncing audio can be an issue. Lots of YT vids on it but I haven’t thrown my hat into that ring. I wanna keep my Mevo setup mobile so iPad/Multicam is best for me.
Looking for the proper chain of hookup..ethetrnet to ipad, to hotspot to mevo. Looking to stream RTMP to TH-cam..... What do I need and what is the heirarchy of hookup ?
So are you running a cellular hotspot device? My routine is to turn my MiFi hotspot on and let it start up. Then connect the ethernet adapter to it, then to the iPad. I confirm the iPad recognizes an ethernet connection in the settings (in the wifi/bluetooth/cellular data section) by tapping on 'ethernet' and making sure all the fields are populated. Then I can go into YT Studio in Safari on my iPad (making sure I request desktop site) and get the stream url and stream key to paste into my rtmp settings in the Mevo app. I edit the title and privacy settings in YT Studio then go live in the Mevo app via RTMP. My list of equipment includes iPad, Mevo, MiFi Hotspot, ethernet cable, two ethernet to usb-c adapters.
After looking at TH-cam setting for RTMP I guess I was thinking about Facebook’s ability to choose a persistent key. The TH-cam one stays until you reset it so I don’t know why it would change. Sorry!

When you are in the browser on your android phone is there an option to have it load the desktop version of the studio website? If there is, the go live option should be there. I don’t have an android device to test it on. Sorry!

Do you need a paid subscription to run a Mevo and live stream our sons baseball games? I have the opportunity to buy a few time used Mevo plus which i have heard is better to use for baseball games being a wider view. Any help or guidance would be great. Thanks
A paid subscription is not necessary. Using a Plus with the Mevo Multicam app will allow you to use all the overlays you need for scoreboards etc. However, for the Mevo 2.0 app to have overlays/scoreboards you do still have to use a subscription.
I need help, urgently please. I have just purchased the mevo start for the 31st crossover service at our church. I have tried the RTMP method without any luck, not sure what is going wrong. Our church channel doesn't have 1000 subs. Your response woukd be greatly appreciated 🙏🏾

From my previous message and your response, we have 80 subscribers but I am still prompted with the message in the Mevo app about the subscribers and its not letting me stream unless I go the RTMP route. I am however able to stream just using the app on my phone but not able to through Mevo direct. Any ideas on what am doing wrong of if I need to activate something on youtube for that.

Hi I get an Error message while streaming on TH-cam: Your encoder is sending data faster than realtime (multipleseconds of video each second). You must rate limit your livevideo upload to approximately 1 second of video each second. How do I fix it? Or is it not doing damage to the quality to the stream?
This message shows up in a lot of streams for me. I have searched for why, but always get the answer 'it doesn't affect the stream' so I finally quit worrying about it. Thanks for asking!
Why is it such a painful thing to setup mevo to go live? Why using just a phone is much more easier? By the time I would want to record live an event i would have to spend 10 or more minutes just get the connection ready.
If streaming using RTMP there is some one-time setup. And since this video was recorded TH-cam lowered the number of subscribers you need to 50 so RTMP isn’t as necessary as it used to be.
Hi, we have this setup for a client and we are experiencing an issue where the Mevo app on the ipad (using the RTMP Method) shows it is streaming properly, and YT reports it is receiving the stream however there is no live stream showing on the client's yt page for viewers to watch.. any thoughts?
Scheduled stream or just going live via Mevo app with RTMP? If scheduled, is AutoStart enabled? Finally, if not, is there a blue “Go Live” button in Studio after you start the stream in Mevo app?
We got it working! We had to sign into YT and then GoLive, once YT Studio loaded and said its waiting for streaming equipment, we then opened the Mevo App and were able to stream with success every single time.
Are you on the website or mobile app? The instructions in the video were shown in the TH-cam Studio website through Safari. When I tap the Live Video button the page changes to say Live Producer at the top left. Toward the top in the middle there are three boxes in the Get Started section: Use Stream Key, Use Camera and Use Paired Encoder. Make sure Use Stream Key is selected.
I have no experience there. Can you log into your FB page on a computer and go through the ‘live video’ steps to get to where I described above? You can copy the info you need from there and get it into Mevo app. Wish I could be of more help!
Ok. What device are you going into Studio on? I just checked what I see when using RTMP and it looks the same. I’m using Safari on an iPad (and requesting desktop site).
@@JasonHoffmanYT I started out on my iPad using Chrome that's what caused the problems in the beginning. I did as you suggested (Safari) and was able to get the settings done for TH-cam. Then I tried to fix the FB settings. The problem is my church has 3 FB pages, what a mess. But I persevered! It works!!! Thanks Jason!
I tried this, and I couldn't get it to work for me. I got an error saying that Mevo couldn't reach my RTMP server. Any thoughts? Did YT close the loophole? I'm doing this using an iPhone, by the way. Thanks!
So you were able to copy the stream url and stream key from TH-cam studio and paste them into the RTMP section of the Mevo app? Then it gave the error?

Ok. You have to be in TH-cam studio on another device while that is happening. It needs to be active and expecting a live stream. Start at the TH-cam studio dashboard and click ‘create’ then ‘go live’. Set your details there and start in the mevo app.

Is this a one time TH-cam setup or do I need to stream using the Mevo desktop app all the time? I’m remote and I live roam using the phone app.
You’ll use the Mevo app each time you want to go live. But once the RTMP settings are right in Studio, you keep using them.

Sorry but there’s not a mevo app for macOS. Users have to go thru OBS or a similar app to control mevos with a MacBook.

I have a question sometimes at my church I’ll use rtmp for TH-cam and it will work but next day it’s doesn’t stream to TH-cam no more. Why is that?
It seems there is a ‘persistent’ stream key and a ‘variable’ stream key. Do you know which you are using?

Can't seem to get into TH-cam Studio like you have mentioned in video, Now takes you to a Studio App that you have to download, No more RTMP options

The requirement number has changed since this video. It is now 50 subs to stream with just your login.

I am trying to find the stream key on my church facebook page. When I look at the live video link I don't see anywhere to find stream key.
Are you on the website or mobile app? The instructions in the video were shown in the TH-cam Studio website through Safari. When I tap the Live Video button the page changes to say Live Producer at the top left. Toward the top in the middle there are three boxes in the Get Started section: Use Stream Key, Use Camera and Use Paired Encoder. Make sure Use Stream Key is selected.

I have no experience there. Can you log into your FB page on a computer and go through the ‘live video’ steps to get to where I described above? You can copy the info you need from there and get it into Mevo app. Wish I could be of more help!

Ok. What device are you going into Studio on? I just checked what I see when using RTMP and it looks the same. I’m using Safari on an iPad (and requesting desktop site).
@@JasonHoffmanYT I started out on my iPad using Chrome that's what caused the problems in the beginning. I did as you suggested (Safari) and was able to get the settings done for TH-cam. Then I tried to fix the FB settings. The problem is my church has 3 FB pages, what a mess. But I persevered! It works!!!

I tried this, and I couldn't get it to work for me. I got an error saying that Mevo couldn't reach my RTMP server. Any thoughts? Did YT close the loophole? I'm doing this using an iPhone, by the way. Thanks!
So you were able to copy the stream url and stream key from TH-cam studio and paste them into the RTMP section of the Mevo app? Then it gave the error?
@@JasonHoffmanYT I have that problem, I've copied & pasted the stream URL & stream key into the app but it doesn't work, could it be that RTMP is faulty on my Mevo do you think? I'm trying to discuss that with the supplier, foolishly I bought online rather than through a company that gives after sales support
After the key and url are in the Mevo app, does it act like it’s going live or does it give you an error message?
@@JasonHoffmanYT the red circle swirls around briefly then it says 'Mevo can't connect to your RTMP destination. Please ensure your RTMP server is reachable
Ok. You have to be in TH-cam studio on another device while that is happening. It needs to be active and expecting a live stream. Start at the TH-cam studio dashboard and click ‘create’ then ‘go live’. Set your details there and start in the mevo app.
Are you able to reuse the same key? I've had trouble with it
Yep. When I streamed yesterday to both FB (api in the Mevo app) and YT via RTMP I reused the settings from a couple weeks ago, key included.
