Hi Michelle! My name is Ana. I am fourteen years old. I watch your videos every single day and I absolutely love the content. You are such a wonderful person. You have inspired me to become a teacher in the future, because you have proved that teachers touch hearts and they educate with love and patience. I really hope that I could meet you one day... It would be a dream come true! I appreciate you as a teacher and everything you do to make a positive impact on your community!

Hi Ana, we need great teachers so yes!!! Please look into teaching as a career. I love being a teacher and I love working with other great teachers. I agree, wouldn't it be cool to sit with Michelle and pick her brain about how she is so amazing at so many things. Someone else mentioned you speaking Spanish, I teach in a dual immersion program and YES speaking Spanish is a huge factor!

I would have been a mess teaching during this pandemic without your instruction. You have literally been one of the two good things that happened to me since March ...and the other good thing was my grandbaby. God bless and know we appreciate your hard work very much

My district just had a 2-hour Nearpod PD a few weeks ago and I definitely learned more about this program from you right now! I loved the way you used this! I'm in my first student teaching placement and I was looking for a way to provide more interaction (and assessment) for my 2nd graders when I go over my google slides. This is perfect! Your videos have literally been a godsend for me. Thank you for all that you do for teachers!

Hello! I just wanted to thank you for all your amazing videos!! I am an English teacher in Taiwan and have started online teaching about 2 weeks ago. Taiwan had been doing well with the pandemic, but recently we have had a spike in cases which forced a semi-lock down here. We are a little late to the online teaching situation, but all schools have been closed for about a month now and students have to do remote learning. I had only a couple of days to learn how to do online teaching with google meet and have been watching so many youtube videos on how to make my lessons more interactive. Your channel and videos have really been indispensable and I have learned so much in a couple of weeks from you! My students are happy also because they are more involved and not just sitting listening to a lecture. Thank you so much!! I appreciate you and your videos more than you'll ever know! I'm hoping that online teaching will end in a couple of months, but until then, and after also, I'll be soaking up and utilizing all your fantastic ideas and tutorials!

I just wanted to say your videos have been so helpful for me. I'm a substitute for a very big district. Virtually, that means working for a different school every day and having different levels of access to everything. Even with Nearpods, sometimes I have a teacher view, sometimes I only get to teach from the student view, sometimes I have access to google classrooms, sometimes I don't. And I only have the few hours I'm with the students to learn everything. Thanks to your videos, I was able to teach with teacher-view nearpods for the first time yesterday when the teacher set them to me 3 minutes before class started. (I usually have the same ones as the students and just do it with them and I'm not able to see what they're doing.) So thank you for this video in particular.

You saved my insanity!! I teach first grade, so you can imagine how hard it is for them to write let alone type. I love slides, easy to move things and be creative! I tried an in class virtual day (we are preparing students just in case we have to close and do virtual). I used google slides (loved the edit master video from you, definitely a lifesaver to not have students move things you don’t want them to move!!), but a couple students deleted slides as they were typing their responses. Very frustrating!! So seeing this and how nearpod lets them record a voice response!!! I am freaking out!! This is exactly what I need! I am in love! I also love the ability to have teacher in charge of the lessons and pacing! This is a lifesaver and I will incorporate this into tomorrow’s in class virtual day lesson! Because I am so buying this today! Thank you!! Thank you!! And Thank you Nearpod!

OMG. I have had no less than 3 Nearpod trainings, in person and virtual, and this is the first time I understand how to use Nearpod effectively. Thank you!
If I'm not mistaken, you're Mrs. Emerson now, aren't you? CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Literally changed my life. Thanks so much for this great description. Gave me the confidence and excitement I needed to investigate more fully. First time I rolled it out live was scary, but the kids really loved it. Only problem is that it is a system hog so I was REALLY glad I also had it up on my iPad along with the computer I was zooming on. I could see it on my iPad but my computer had frozen. And then you can take screenshots afterwards of the slides to document everything. Thanks again, you are like my favorite virtual teacher buddy who is literally across the hall :)

We are using Nearpod this year in partnership with Schoology. Our students log in to Schoology with a link personalized for each teacher. Schoology has a link for Nearpod eithin its content, which we use to drive our lesson. I am loving this Nearpod app. All of the interactive features really hep my lesson come alive and keep my students engaged. The added feature, as you mentioned, is that you can save the Nearpod (we save it in our Schoology account) in Student-paced mode and students can play it, to catch up, if they missed class. I'm so glad you made this tutorial and I hope a lot of educators take your advice and start using Nearpod. Thanx Michelle!

Can you let students do the Nearpod lessons student-paced if you are not using it with an LMS?

@@murf1224 if u click on a Nearpod, it will give u the option to open as a Student-Paced. When u click on it, u’ll get a window to share by email or Google Classroom. U can then email to a student. Hope that helps.
