first time using Nearpod and my students are very happy. greetings from me, a teacher in Indonesia who always watches this channel to learn to be better
This is a well thought through, prepared video on use of Nearpod, such a powerful tool. I really appreciate you starting with the importance of understanding payment plans and to try the free version first. There are so many options for use of this tool, keeping both teacher and students engaged. You covered all the important points: how to use it, how to set it up and teach a lesson, and recommendations of what and why. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
I use nearpod almost daily and have for 3 years. I still learned some things. Especially since there are some new features and my district bought school wide memberships.
Thank you for the comprehensive guide. I'm teaching with Minecraft and Nearpod has become a great tool to deliver online lessons/presentations/lectures.
Great video Sam, as always!! Glad to see that we can switch to student pace now, it'll be great to use it during and after class. Thank you very much. Greetings!! 🙂
Right now, I am using Blooket, Classpoint and Nearpod for my classes. Blooket to sub for Gamify. Classpoint is nice since I can make full use of my Powerpoint skills but the free version limits you to 5 interactive questions per Powerpoint file. Nearpod is pretty good overall but you can't use Powerpoint animations for your lesson. My primary school kiddies have difficulties answering questions with draw it or arranging the text boxes. Using phones, the pairing cards can be hard.
Hi, Faris. Yeah, I hear you. Anything using only mobile is definitely going to be tricky. Sounds like you have a solid suite of apps, though I'd say you can probably choose one or the other, Classpoint or Nearpod. They both achieve very similar goals.
What platform do you use though to connect with students since you can't call students through nearpod? How does it work and how do you flip between google meet and nearpod?
Really liked the way you present & educate thank you.I watched even you're whiteboard chat liked it too, thought of asking my doubt when I used it whiteboard chat I couldn't stop students from scribbling on someone else's board. How do I stop them from doing that??
Hi! Absolutely loved your video and I trialled it with a dummy student to see how nearpod works in real time. When I'm presenting using nearpod, I'm unable to see the interactive elements? It's just a static screen/slide? I then tried it with a presentation from the nearpod library and that worked as it should. Why is it that my self-created presentations aren't interactive? What am I doing wrong? Please advise
First of all, thank you for your wonderful tips you shared. Great work !! I am an educator in Thailand trying to use nearpod for giving a lecture through live participation but could not figure out exactly how they could hear me teaching. So I ended up using both google meet (for them to listen to) and nearpod (for slides) at the same time. Can you please tell me the right way to do it? Thank you. A.
This has happened to me.... Did you select "present a tab" (your entire screen, a window, a tab) when you presented nearpod in google meet? And don't forget to check "share audio" when you want to share a chrome tab. Hope it helps 😊🙏
My kids do not like Nearpod, I have used library lessons and have created my own lessons and they still do not like it. I like all the features but they don’t and can’t get them to buy into it, any tips?
Hi Reny, if they don't like it, you might need to try something else. First I'd really try to drill down on what it is that they don't like. Do they not like the activities, or do they not like the fact that they are being asked to actively participate during a lesson because it's harder than passive learning?

Best explanation.
I'm sold!

Teachers near pod is a cool program and easy access for students. This is coming from a student.
Great to hear!
Wow, thanks Sam! You’re awesome 😎. Appreciate your explanation from beginning to end. All details covered so well. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks Shanti! I appreciate that 😃
Thank you for presenting this!
You're very welcome!

Just to clarify, they were scribbling on each other's boards in whiteboard.chat?
I did nearpod for a year and a half. I think I'm good :)
Okay!
Great video! Will you make an ultimate guide to Peardeck too - or just the showdown?
Thanks! I am planning on making a new Pear Deck video soon!
Nearpod needs more art content - especially at the high school level or even AP Art History :)
Yeah the more diverse the content, the better.
This is fantastic 👍 Thank you!
So glad to hear that!
The web content doesn't embed in Nearpod.. but it shows a message that says "Click here to open the Web page" which will open the page in another tab.
That's true. Important clarification
fantastic! thank you so much for this!
Sure thing bobcatking!

Can you edit PowerPoint slides that have been uploaded into a nearpod presentation?
It would be great to have a tutorial on How to become Nearpod publisher
Yeah, no idea how that works, actually!
If my notes are in my Nearpod lesson, can students access it after class in order to study?
They can! It doesn’t have to be presented live but students can also work through the content at their own pace
Thank you ❣
Welcome!

@@elizam.775 thank you 💕
That's the right way to do it!
Why won't Nearpod upload a presentation with a screencast in i1?
Do you have a promo code for Gold membership?
No but if you go to www.myedtechbundle.com/, you can get a code to get 3 MORE months of premium for free.

is there any support for right to left language...like Arabic
I'm not aware of that, but it would be worth contacting Nearpod directly to ask!
Nearpod
I agree 😁

Hello teachers in the comments :D
Hello!
I dislike nearpod when my teacher used
Sorry to hear that!
