    I teach ELA remotely to 3rd grade this year. I made a pallet with photos of every book cover in my library. (Yeah, wow!) With the padlet and a google form, kids choose the books they want to borrow and I send them out on “pick-up”days every other week. This is so everyone has a ‘just right” book to read. So far, so good!

    Thank you! I am under pressure today. Never ever used Padlet before, and by 8:15 in your video, I had opened an account, created a wall with a voice recording, and sent the link to my student. Thanks for diving right into it!

    I like to use “shelf” for vocabulary words! I’ll have them draw, look for a picture, take a picture, or record themselves so they can have a better understanding of the words! Kids love it!

    Thank you for your overview. It's given me new ways to use Padlet. I was using Padlet for Math. I would post problems and students would post their answers. I would give the correct answers a ❤. I now have new thoughts for using when teaching Math, Language Arts, and Civics. Again, thank you!

    I have no idea how you don't have a bazillion (technical math term) subscribers. You are amazing!! I am a first year teacher and I use your videos for everything. My slides look just like yours. Shoutout Oswald and Century Gothic!
    This is such a great resource with Padlet. I am thinking I could even make some of my worksheets a JPEG and set them as the background and let the kids move their post its to the right answer or connect that way. I could even make separate Padlets for breakout groups. THANK YOU AGAIN. I am constantly using your tutorials for inspiration and ideas to help my students and it has helped me tremendously.

    Love Padlet! You get 6 free. And if student login in their google, their names will appear. I use this in my art class for student driven critiques. They post a photo of their art and then comment on 2 or more of their peers work with a constructive critique. My kids have done very well with this and it takes the pressure away of the teacher to critique each individual students work.

    • @PocketfulofPrimary
      @PocketfulofPrimary  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting because if you look up the account options on Padlet, it still says 3 free. Also, my students log into their Google account and it still wouldn’t show their name. It may vary depending on district settings. But that’s a great way to use it for art!

    • @lyphillips88

      @@PocketfulofPrimary that’s so strange! It must be different district to district. I do only have the free version though, so who knows. Good resource none the less!

      @@PocketfulofPrimary Same here. In my free account, I have 5 free which I just use for each period and also delete when finished with it. My kids log in with Google and their name shows. Each student in my district has a Google account though.

    Love the fact that it gives the option of text or drawing. Having first grade students some of my students shy away from writing anything because they might not know how to spell something. So having the option to draw will definitely increase my class participation which sometimes is something I struggle with 😳😳😳

    I didn’t think of any application to my high school social studies classroom until I saw the last two. I think both of those will work for mapping, especially in distance learning where they don’t always have a printer or colored pencils. I’ve been using paint 3-D and Google draw with some success. I also think the timeline would be good. In school we use it as a class project for the life of each of the Scholars, musicians and philosophers during the enlightenment. So thank you very much.

    I had students do a KWL chart over an article. After they were finished with their article and KWLchart, I asked students to type 1 thing they learned and 1 thing they found interesting about their article on a Pallet. I also gave them a choice on which article they read. In the Paddle I had the two different titles able so they would know where to post their answer.
