Panning isn't glamourous by any means. But early access to candles isn't anything to sniff at. Not to mention a chance at books, and other copper items. TONS of players skip over it since it's tedious, but you definitely can spend the long nights panning the hours away rather than bumbling around in the pitch black trying to find bees or elusive surface copper.
I will say, the art of drop weapon damage is glossed over by most. A pit trap, 2 deep, with more then one creature in it, can juggle a single projectile (Spear or Arrow that I have tested) hitting entities until they are all if not multiple are dead. It's really effective way of dealing with numerous drifters chasing you up a ladder to the surface.
Another great episode. I had no idea translocator could be repared with mechanical parts as I play with tooltips disabled. Also the macros part was very helpful too! I'm loving the series!!
If you dig down at the ruins, you might find bony soil. It has a different loot table and you can find temporal gears at a higher rate if you use it in panning.
Humm.....panning for copper is a pain. in my current game, I boosted surface copper and tin deposits a bit. and now copper is friggin' everywhere! [I thought i only boosted copper by one, but it's now veeeery common. i Think for tutorial series that may be a good idea. though...having to struggle a bit can have advantages in that you can show people what to do if THEY don't get ideal scenarios.]
checking my world while I did boost copper deposits from rare to uncommon [one tier] I did also boost ore generation by 3 notches, from 100% to 160% so perhaps those together, that or where I've been perusing is just especially rich in copper.
"Everything's stable over here" he says as his gear continues to spin the wrong way, even faster than at his house XD
That sheep took that pit as a challenge.
The horrified gasp as the ram levitated out of the pit was hilarious
I love how you take your time. Everyone else I’ve seen rushes through the ages. Including myself.

Hey I didn't know about hitting the spacebar to center my location on the map! Thank you for teaching me!

Love that you advise to check out the entrances to caves early. That early ruin loot is helpful.

Vintage Story my beloved.
Great chill series

Sometimes that's the way she goes. I've found lots of surface copper in those gravel hills and fields. Probably worth going a little further.
Yeah, I've noticed that too, surface copper and others minerals are more frequent in deserts of gravel.
Or at least It looks like that.
@@plagueday5395being in the deserts just makes them easier to see without all the grass
If the charcoal pit is properly packed the game allows you to place a block directly over the fire with no other attaching blocks to support it
glad to see the drifters are jsut as bad in someone elses playthrough. Like mosquitoes fr
I am enjoying the series. This is one of those games that I like to watch but have no interest in playing myself.
Did they made the panning process longer or it's just me?
Anyway great video as always 😊

thanks the macro part was interesting. where do i find a list of commands?
In the wiki "macro"
If you go into creative mode (/gm c) in any VS game you can then access the Commands Handbook while it's paused.
Fine
did u enable copper surface deposit?
It's enabled by default.
Eightith and happy.
Fifth!
This game reminds me of why I fell inlove with SevTech Ages
