I think the mini mart game depends on where you are in both countries, for example my experience is living in chiang mai, when I went to saigon I loved the choice of alcoholic beverages in the mini marts there. Not sure till when they were open but I went as late as 11 pm and they were still open. Also Thailand blocks you from buying alcoholic drinks between 11am and 5pm or something like that so you have to plan ahead. You must be in a little city by the sounds of it

I live in Saigon in District 3; it's very traditional, designed mainly for locals, located right in the heart of Saigon. It's really annoying that most shops are local and usually don't have a wide variety of items we like. On the other hand, it's a great way to experience local culture.
You may find more convenience stores in District 1, closer to the walking street, or in District 2 (the expat area), but they are not on every corner like in Thailand.
When we lived in Thailand, yeah, we also struggled with alcohol restrictions, but on the bright side, it makes you healthier 😂

Excellent video. Vietnam people are very friendly and curious.. Unlike Thai! This reason alone is enough to push me out of Thailand after being here 6 years

Amazing how ignorant some comments are about mic. It is about the content and the value that the video provides. Thanks for your knowdledge and useful information! Your analysis is spot on 🫶

for sure in big cities there are 24/7 convenience stores.
i am guessing you live in Thao Dien district in Saigon. that are sucks totally to begin with but its not really Vietnam but its foreginer land.
move to Viet areas and youill have everything you need
i think your still a bit new to Vietnam to comment on these things

Well, as I mentioned in the video, I live in D3, which is a super traditional area. I rarely see foreigners here. There are a few convenience stores, but unfortunately, I can't find everything I need there, like in 7/11 in Thailand. I've spent 10 months here, and my opinion hasn't changed 😂. But deliveries 🚚 do the job, so I can access the things that I need)

$750/month apartment rent is still expensive I think. You can shop around for better price but it all depends on your location of choice.

    • @businessmalie
      @businessmalie  หลายเดือนก่อน

Yeah, I know it's above the average price, but we needed to be exactly in this location, and cleaning twice a week did sound appealing. 😂So, it was the second house we viewed, and we have accepted it🤓

Sorry as a hearing impaired person I find your presentation annoying with all the sound effects. But I'm not moving to the Orient any time soon so I can live w/o the content.

i get so frustrated and annoyed with the comparisson. as someone who lives in South East Asia Vietnam and Thailand are opposites. Vietnam is more traditional and family like Eastern Asia where as Thailand and Cambodia are VERY VERY DIFFERENT.
    Vietnams much nicer.
Thailand is a good begginers country as they speak English and drive cars.
But Vietnam better in every category. I dont really want people to know that as i kind of like everyone going to Thailand and keeping Vietnam beautiful

You’ve said a few strange and obnoxious comments on this video. I’m not sure if you actually watched the video and you’re trolling? Or you watched but had it on mute? 😂

Vietnam sucks, stupid mentality, very narrow minded, pollution, Karaoke at 6 am, crazy drivers, there's no authority, a dog have more rights than the foreigners in Vietnam.

This trend of holding the tiny mic while making videos needs to end. I find these type of creators unwatchable.
