- My Cost Of Living In The Philippines as An American.
This is what i spend in a month living in the Philippines an american.
How much does it cost to live in the philippines per month in 2024?
Lots of people from around the world are moving to the philippines for a cheaper lifestyle. But is it really that cheap?
This is how much I spend a month living in the Philippines as an american expat. Prices are rising little by little but as long as you budget right, you can live a nice lifestyle of your choosing.
Hopefully this helps you out if you’re interested in living here long term as well. 🏝️

Good living and inexpensive too. I know you are enjoying yourself with good weather, good food & good people. The services are reasonable as well. And…that blue water is unmatched. Enjoy and be blessed!

You’ll be enjoying yourself real soon bro ✌🏾
Thats whats up fam.....nothn but love
Thanks bro I appreciate you ✌🏾
Congratulations on the pregnancy. Do you have a hospital set up yet? My son was born at UCmed. It cost about $2k back in 2020. It was a C section, what made it cost as much. Good luck
Thanks! We were able to find a very nice hospital that does natural deliveries for about just around $600 actually. The price has risen to about $3000-$4000 for C sections though.
@@CoMi000 yeah my son's mother said it would cost $800. Just be aware of the total possible cost, the process of procedures, and also about how the red cross works with possible blood transfers. I was warned and heard horrible stories from other expats. I have my own story, but our son and mother pulled through. Again best of luck to a healthy birth and mother.
@@CaliforniaBear619Thanks for the heads up. The total cost is around $600 for us. Most Filipinos I know say they even pay as low as $100 though those are in public hospitals.
@@CoMi000ask her doctor, or hospitals if they have package. Its a lot cheaper. It includes stay in the hospital for 2 days, doc and anaethesiologist fees. You dont have to think abt other things, and other charges
Congrats on starting a fam bro. $700/month is a good budget, I've seen a lot of different videos from people saying $1k is possible but $1500 is what you need for a decent life there. How do you currently make your income or are you living on just savings for the time being? I'm 38 without much savings but I just started maxing out my retirement accounts the past year now so saving aggressively because I plan to exit the work force early and head over before I reach my 50s.
Thanks bro I always appreciate your comments! Yeah $700-800 is doable with just me and my girl with a little extra to spare for leisure and shopee(Philippines amazon). Though I’ll make an updated video soon now that my son is born since the budget increased for sure. I do a little bit of trading here and there. Enough gains to cover my expenses and enough to pile up in my savings.
You’re on the right path bro. Anytime before 50 and you’ll enjoy yourself a lot more. Take care bro ✌🏾
I live in Dasmarinas, Me and my wife own our home so my expenses are around the 600 dollar range a month, Most is that is for my Liquour and beer.
Great video bro !
I am contemplating moving to Cebu city myself so I appreciate all this great info.
How is the internet speed there ? May seem like an odd question but peeps have mentioned it on Reddit etc. Just curious to know if it is good/fast. Thanks
Thanks bro! Regarding internet, you can get Pldt or Skycabke Wifi here during your stay. Avoid the Globe at home wifi at all cost and you’ll be good with one of the other two 👌🏾 They’re a decent speed.
@@CoMi000 Thanks bro. Congrats on the baby also !
I think a 26 meter condo is a shoe box.I couldn't do it..
That sounds really great. Does your $760 expense include food and grocery costs for 2 people or just for you? Because obviously you live there with your girlfriend
Yes, it’s the cost for both of us 👌🏾
I usually use grab here I find that it is a bit cheaper and they always have deals!
Yeah there’s some good deals on grab especially in the early and late hours. Are you still in Cebu?
@@CoMi000no I’m back in BGC/Makati. Oh and congratulations on the lil guy!
When is the wedding? Would love to see the content! Keep up the great work Bro!
Thanks bro it’s been a cool experience so far ✌🏾 Definitely in the future for sure and thanks for your support!
Youp..thats the life I like.
what if i get a tourist visa and go get a job there is that possible ?
You’ll need a Work Visa and an Alien Employment Permit to start working here bro.
Sounds fantastic, but if you've got it so good why you planning to leave, why you be saying it's your last day there???
My last day? I’ll be here for a long while bro. It’s cool to make a few cheap investments out here for sure. I do eventually want to return to the states for a while too though with my lady and child.
@@CoMi000 I was confused because at 0:28 it said "Dawn of the final day, 24 hours remaining" so I figured that meant you're leaving in 24 hours. But anyway glad things are working out so well, have fun and keep up the good work.
@@amazonseller-yf8vv No worries bro. That segment is from The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Masks. I just threw in there for a fun transition. Thanks!
@@CoMi000 Oh, very nice, i should've known. Anyways looks like your doing great, keep up the good work. I hope to be over there by late June so I was watching all your vids to see how you do it. Looks very nice indeed.
What type of investments would you recommend to do?
Bronado what do you do for work? Tech?
A few investments and I trade some stocks here and there.
start paying those philhealths early. could save you alot like the pregnancy.
Wish I knew about that sooner but I was lucky enough to find a nice doctor for about $600 so it’s all good. A lot cheaper than I expected tbh.
What do you do for work boss?
Trade stocks bro
@@CoMi000how’d you get into that gang?
@@RichSphere00I had a friend teach me the basics and I taught myself the rest. There’s lots of videos on how to get started as well.
I thought you were Ja Morant. Lol 😂
Now if you live in the US, doing exactly what you do now lifestyle-wise, how much do you think this will cost you?
Damn near $3000 or more a month for sure in Los Angeles CA in a studio apartment.
