Especially since Megas in this fight also force the player to have the full animation, even if they've already seen it that session. Nothing like having your Kanto starter mega up against a mega for this fight.
Depends on the way you look at it. Younger beginners may have struggled, especially if this was their first Pokemon game. Experienced and knowledgeable players know to evenly level up your team and have a good type spread, not just relying on 1 legendary you found towards the end of the game and sweeping the main story with your starter. She was not hard by most standards, but you also have to remember that by generation 6, most of the glaring over-powered types have counters. In the first game, Psychic was overpowered and nothing was strong against it except the Gengar line and Bug Pokemon, except that there really weren't any good bug moves in Gen 1. Dark was then introduced to counter Psychic in Gen II, and it countered it hard (in addition to adding another Ghost weakness). Dragon after awhile became the strongest, and Gen VI finally had to answer for it with the Fairy type. In Gen VI, the combination of being able to visibly see and easily train EV's, the extremely diverse move-pool, TMs no longer breaking, and having fairly good type balancing, just in general made the game more easy to cope with.
Simething I like with all champion themes since Iris (well, Kukui and Hau aren't champion, but you get it, right?) is that they make it clear that their battle is more or less just a fun battle with little more than pride at stake, and yet, the beat still gives you the eccitement of a final boss battle. @@Dacore_DE What?? Surely you meant Indeede. Meowstic is a paper cannon! I love cats but sorry as much as it hurts, Meowstic is _not_ the one, she hits like a bubble-blower.
@@netweed09 if they mean Meowstic, they mean Meowstic. Meowstic is pretty frickin fast, and it has a really good special attack

Diantha in anime:
Holy crap! She avoid all of the attacks!
Diantha in game:
"Sweep her entire team with Mega Alakazam"

CJSONG MIKE YOSIEF'S FRIEND TAUNTED ABRAHA HENRY
No PTSD once so ever
Cynthia 🤝Diantha
Having Banger themes but can't hear because the battle isn't long enough or you just keep having the annoying beeping
(Not in BDSP btw)
In case you haven't notice I'm already beat Champion Diantha in Pokémon x and I'm get Pokémon y soon.
This is the best champion theme in my opinion. 😅
Indeed!
And then the Cynthia fanboys and girls start coming in screaming how your opinion is wrong.
Same here
And Steven
@@MGRRSenatorArmstrong, tbh my track record of giving my opinion in a TH-cam comment section and starting a war is... quite high? 😂
What would a no-holds barred team of Diantha's look like
Taking the mons she had and rigging it with competitive items and strategies
Based on Gen 8 buffs, and without looking at stuff like Smogon, this is how I’d personally go about it.
•Hawlucha:
EV investment- Attack + Speed
Nature- Adamant
Item- Power Herb
Ability- Unburdened
Moves- Focus Punch, Acrobatics, Flying Press, Poison Jab
•Tyrantrum:
EV investment- Attack + Defense/Sp. Defense
Nature- Jolly
Item- Chople Berry
Ability- Rock Head
Moves- Head Smash, Psychic Fangs, Dragon Claw, Dragon Dance
•Aurorus:
EV investment- Defense + Sp. Defense
Nature- Bold
Item- Focus Sash
Ability- Snow Warning
Moves- Aurora Veil, Blizzard, Ancient Power, Thunder Wave
•Gourgeist:
EV investment- Attack + Defense
Nature- Impish
Item- Leftovers
Ability- Insomnia
Moves- Shadow Sneak, Seed Bomb, Phantom Force, Will-O-Wisp
•Goodra:
EV investment- HP + Sp. Defense
Nature- Sassy
Item- Yache Berry
Ability- Hydration
Moves- Rain Dance, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Pulse, Muddy Water
•Gardevoir:
EV investment- Sp. Attack + Speed
Nature- Timid
Item- Gardevoirite
Ability- Trace/Pixilate (Mega)
Moves- Psychic, Hyper Voice, Shadow Ball, Mystical Fire
Edit (5/6/22):
-Swapped Pasho Berry for Chople Berry on Tyrantrum since it’s not weak to water and to aid against the fighting weakness it shares with Aurorus
-Swapped Moonblast for Hyper Voice on Gardevoir to make use of Pixilate (don’t know how this flew over my head)
@@CaptainObliviousV god this would be such a good diantha battle. might even actually live up to the theme.
@@CaptainObliviousV i would pay for that in a gen 6 remake

Not one of the best champs but this theme still rocks even compared to Scarlet Violet
I agree
Huh, don't think I've ever listened to this one long enough to hear it repeat.
I blame the wacky levelling curve of these games. It's basically the complete opposite from Johto. There it's difficulty to touch level 50, here it's impossible not to touch level 80.
Reminds me of pacman
beat her with only a pansage tbh. sure it was lv70 or 75 during that time but man, diantha's really underwhelming. the song's kinda sick though but it can't beat cynthia's theme
Like for those who see this video in 2043
when you know what diantha's role was originally...
(She and all fairy types were supposed to be aliens from the moon)
Why do u guys brag so much abt her bein easy??!!?? Have you even battled Lance?
Thank you! I actually legitimately struggled with Diantha, but Lance, literally all of his Pokémon are weak to rock moves, and Geodude is one of the most common encounters in the game.
@@journeyingjay3458 he was hard to me at first cuz my team was underleveled
No but I do know all champions are easy because I over level myself can we start complaining about how the story was more dull the paint drying now?
