I'm doing my first run now and I am in LOVE with this. something i notice that may really make some of you connect more with this game and the comments about its "average/bad story." Which could be true but If you think about it.. The lobby music representing "enjoying life and sitting back" contradicts the goals of Team Flare, destroying the world and stuff. Ending life and Creating life, also represented by the two legendaries of X & Y. :))

I guess this is nostalgic now. I remember playing the game in 2013 when I around 15 and I really enjoyed it. Especially this track. I really wish there was a Pokémon Z version to revisit and do more stuff with the region. I hope this gets some love in the future.
It's sad because Kalos was just supposed to be Kanto 2.0. There are 3 whole-ass locations that are copy pasted from Kanto just to cater to the genwunners. It didn't get to be its own unique setting. I'm kind of sad that my favorite region didn't get to have as many iconic side-areas as previous titles. Especially the Chamber of Emptiness, I swear there was going to be an event Mythical there or something that they just forgot about. Maybe they'll make more locations when Pokémon MegaX&MegaY come out in 2087...

All I can think is… ten fucking years???? Does that hit anyone else like a freight train too? That feels like a monumental amount of time away and in reality that’s chump shit. But this song reminds me of a period of my life that is forever to remain intangible to me. Ten years ago I could barely show where I live on a world map but now I’m a taxpayer and university student. I’ve recently started to come to terms with the fact that I’m not as engaged with the games that I sunk thousands of hours of my childhood into, all I can fixate on it what I want go accomplish in the future. But, I’ll be damned if I ever stop listening to the music. There’s something about the music that accompanies a piece of media that makes you become intrinsically attached to and it ingrains itself into your memories..

These gates were magnificent. Whilst also acting as a brief break in tension/plot it also makes you question what lies beyond the tunnel.
