Not only is he reselling at a higher price and raising market value, he’s literally emptying local game stores shelves and asking them for discounts. If a reseller stepped foot in my game store openly scanning and talking his “expected” profit, I would not sell him a thing.

I'm not sure if Whatnot is doing good for resale channels. I mean, it's great that it's giving you guys extra earnings, but it's taking out part of the emotion in the hunt and hustle. Retro Rick is getting a lot of feedback on his new $10 collection series because of it, and here we see Caleb just buying all the games almost at regular prices 'cause they can be sold overpriced at Whatnot. Again: I'm glad is good for your earnings, but it's kinda taking away from the content. Just my honest opinion. Keep up the good work!

I wouldn't say that it's taking out the emotion. I was laughing and in tears when I watched people paying $80+ for $20 games, and $200+ on $50 games on ricks auction.
At the end of the day, you need to realize these guys are video game RESELLERS. I guarantee he's never even played a GameCube game.
If they can flip games and sell them for more money somewhere else where people are dumb enough to buy inflated prices, that's what they're gonna do

My good man, i started collecting for Gamecube in 2020 and it's impressive how in such a short amount of time the games have gone up in value since then. I don't plan on selling anything because i actually play the games, but it's crazy how expensive it already was and is becoming.

Pretty much from the start when I saw games were going for way over market value on WhatNot, I didn't get a good vibe from it. At this point it looks like the boulder is just going to continue to roll down the hill - TH-cam resellers buying games at pre-owned retail price and auctioning for over market value. If there is a bright side to this, I guess it's that there's less of you on eBay to compete with? IDK just a weird situation overall.
Today, I'm not even going to check the prices, I'll buy any old crap knowing that I can rip somone off on whatnot and make money out of them

Whatnot is causing people to pay up to 3 times the value, and soon to be 4x, or 5x in time. Ruining game collecting.
Those people are ruining it for themselves because they will never get the value back from those items. They just have more disposable income than a typical household and can afford to blow the money. I just recommend watching his auction for the entertainment of how stupid some of the prices get. If you want real deals do not waste your money in a youtuber auction. Find a good seller or near empty room and you can definitely find deals on whatnot. Just have to be patient and know when to look and what times to get on.
If I had an army of youtube simps I'd be doing the same thing. Could probably buy EA sports games for .50c and sell them for $10 a piece :D

I hope you people realize what Phoenix resale is doing with this GameCube Gambit he's upping the hype on GameCube games so that the price is inflate it's all in his benefit the more videos he puts up the more hype he puts behind it drives the demand for GameCube games therefore prices go up he's not in it for the games he's in it for the money once he completes the list then he's going to sell the games and make a profit this whole thing with reselling is causing inflation and people need to know the truth this is why video game prices have gone sky high people make videos they get the hype up and then it increases prices basic economics
