Guys, this dude's dealt with Caleb before. Weird how insanely triggered ppl are by some of these prices. He knows what he has, and if he wanted to sell his stuff for a bigger profit, he would've.
Well, he was definitely good to Caleb because Cubivore is worth $450 alone so if he just sold that game then ALL those other games were free. Caleb definitely has his privileges, however I can't hate on him for putting in the work and effort to get these amazing deals.
Yeah he openly said that the game is worth 400-ish, so even if the guy knew nothing else, he heard that as well and was willing to accept 450 anyway knowing that. No one can claim he took advantage of someone who didn't know
I'm sure I'm not alone in this being my favorite series in the channel. Makes me brainstorm what to do when it is done... The Xbox X-Change DS for Less The Dreamcast Blast The Wii Spree More 64 The Game boy Gauntlet Destination Playstation
Wow that nes empire strikes back alone can go for $1000, and the cibivore $400, so with just 2 games you almost have your money back. I'd say that's a deal of a lifetime
I did a quick calculation on the value of all the items in the Gamecube tote just to get an idea of the value to assess the $450 purchase price. Caleb was correct that the majority of the value comes from the Gamecube games themselves which total $1,014 (on eBay, so Amazon would likely be more - Also, I have Cubivore valued at $475 which is in line with eBay sold comps). The rest of the value comes mostly from the Gamecube console and controller. On Amazon, I found the Platinum and Indigo bundles going for $180-190, I'd assume the black one is the same. Misc items include the Halo Reach collectors box, which goes for about $15 box only on eBay, and $40 complete with the game (Which James said he sold Caleb previously - So I assume here that it will be complete). The big Xbox One Battleborn box set I couldn't find, the game only goes for about $5 on eBay so probably not worth much more than that. There are two Super Mario Bros Power Up Card Games, which sell for $13.99 each on Amazon. A Megaman X6 PS1 game (disc only) is $10. Super Mario Bros 3 on the NES is $15. The 2 Mario Kart Wii Figures I couldn't find exact comps, probably $10-15 apiece on those, but probably more trouble than they are worth realistically. There were also 8 PS4 games, 22 PS3, and 8 Nintendo DS games in the tote. Mostly items worth $4-8 each, but a couple of $10-18 games. I imagine most would just get traded in, so let's just say $50 total for those 38 games. There are probably a couple of miscellaneous items that I overlooked, but I think I got the vast majority. In total taking the lower estimates on the items with a range, comes out to $1,361.98. The $450 offer comes out to 33.04% of the pre-fee value. I know Caleb has stated in the past he likes to be around 40-50% of after fees value, so he's probably in that range once fees are taken into account. I initially thought the offer seemed low, and maybe Caleb should have worked out a deal separately for Cubivore. Since stating its value to be in the $400 range, then offering $450 for the entire tote just rubs people the wrong way.
The seller knew that the cubivore game was a keeper not a flip which played into him accepting the offer but also they have a relationship sometimes you give a little to keep the buyer coming back. It also sounded like the seller got more overall than he was expecting and it takes alot of time piecing out such a large collection
Ebay fees 15% - 204.29 Shipping fees 10% - 136.19 Taxes 15% - 204.29 Total: 544.79 (give or take a 100) That's assuming he sells it all at Market value, which he isn't it in to squeeze every cent out, so to turn the items he needs to be under Market value. We are also assuming that he sells everything and there will definitely be bricks liquidated for 1 or 2 dollars. Maybe even a bulk deal for free similar to this. Ooh by the way he spending the time to post them and fulfill the orders. The prices aren't great in a whole sell, I would have sold the valuable myself and brought what was left, but as you will find this is extremely common and I'd you had a great opportunity I have no doubt you would perform similar to Phoenix.

To anyone casting stones: You're ignorant to buying in bulk/repeat customer advantages that goes across all lines of business,, coupled with the fact that all this man had to do was show up with some bins that he probably acquired extremely cheap from clearouts, etc. A lot different than having to do cleaning, pricing, pictures, description forms, selling, customer service, shipping, paying fees, paying taxes, tax paperwork, etc etc.

Ive sold big collections of old games and cards before too and took a lower price because I understood they had to put the work into listing, packaging, and shipping each item. In my opinion it's fair, if I wanted the extra money I could have put in the extra work.
Yeah bulk is always hard to on the spot price....the GameCube games basically you got your grail game free lol......like what is the right percentage of an items value to pay especially if reselling? I know I paid $300 for a GameCube with 40 games and ended up instant selling for $1400 and got to keep one of my grails...... but my grail was only Gauntlet lol but I know you will profit very amazing on what I saw
I got a Wii with two controllers. A controller stand, a game, and all the wires for only 30 dollars. There were also two memory cards inside. And one paid for the entire Wii. It was a GameCube memory card
If you are into collecting GameCube games you should really save all GameCube games with the disc issues from GameCube games where the discs basically dissolve.
The artwork on some gamecube games crack but it doesnt affect gameply. The data layer isn't at the top like on other games. It also doesnt affect every gamecube game

@@homieBtotheJ dude wtf
Yeah this deal was nuts I felt like you was telling him his got gold and offered him brass and he took every offer. You smashed it hear bro u was right to pay low this time, The hustle is real and that was the perfect time for hustle mode
Doing a deal like this to a pawn store or secondhand store is one thing but to bold rob that guy like that is rough. That game cube bin alone was worth way more. The PS2 bin was worth more… really seems like James deserves far more.
Can please advise if you sell replacement game cases or Provide a good link to where you can get them at a reasonable price
James is the MAN ain’t even worried about taking offers even if it’s a bit low. Makes me wonder what other gems he might still have lol. We need more James in the channel.
underpaid on the GameCube stuff.
You should start paying his tax bill then you can tell him to offer 65 percent instead of 40 percent 😉
Ive sold big collections of old games and cards before too and took a lower price because I understood they had to put the work into listing, packaging, and shipping each item. In my opinion it's fair, if I wanted the extra money I could have put in the extra work.
Seeing someone say they don’t care about Resident Evil hurts my soul, but hey each their own.
Rip Lol
But let it be some random ass Pooh game. 😂
Hey what you think the best way to clean scratches off of a game disc is?
Lmaooo that final box offer edit was perfect riff
I love the GameCube gambit series!
450 for that bin. Might as well take his wallet at gunpoint while your at it lol.
I'd be interested in the PSP stuff if you had a link to the amazon or ebay post.
That framed blockbuster GTA poster is so absurd you have to keep it in the background somewhere
GameCube gambit is an awesome journey so far
450 for all those GameCube games with Cubivore and the console?! That guy got bamboozled!
That KH in the background just…mwah so perfect 👍🏽
That was solid, in my country for what you paid you would have gotten less of half but the markets are very different, great job.
Daaaang you got another Grail!!!! I wonder if you'll ever come across the sonic and monkeyball combo
Where do you sell this stuff? Plz respond.
YOO that's my local Flea Market that's only like 5 minutes away! Unfortunately I don't see much of anything in there ever but that's cool!
I f**king love this series!! Keep up the good content
For my son!!! love the retro Rick throw in
I got a Wii with two controllers.
Great video man, thank you Uncle J for Cubivore!😊🍻🍺
I want to ask, how would I find stores that sell retro games or find people that sells retro games in person except online stores?
This guy who collected all these things must have just been a great age to have that disposable income to buy all this stuff!! The gen who grew up with these things are freaking out. I know I am
That aqua teen hunger force game is something I’ve always wanted
Daylight roberry on Cubivore pile, not hating.
Love your content
I’ve got this game, because my elderly mom played this one but it wasn’t with the watch , just the PlayStation 1 game in its case…she liked it….and she was 74 years old before she passed away…..
Why do US Gamecube cases have a cutout on the bottom?
Nice touch with the KH melody at the end.
Robbery…… poor fella. figured since he’s worked with you in the past you would’ve been more generous with your offers… might have offered him 20% of comps lmao
I have been looking for a fairly clean black GameCube, what is the condition like on it, if it’s really nice i might be interested
i got top gun for gamecube and i tried it and it didn't work but there doesn't seem to be any scratches on the disc what should i do ?
Gamecube gambit is always great!
Really enjoying the content man!!
i remember buying walt disneys world racing tour in a scholastics book fair ad in school back in 2004 i think such a great game
Did you ever end up getting those SNES Star Wars games graded? Would be great candidates
should did your move where u get a final price then mention you might back out now inorder to get it cheaper
When he said it was 25 degrees, my immediate thought was Celsius (cuz that’s what we use in au) and that’s quite warm for celsius
You're gonna resell the collection?
Amazing Caleb!!
holy moly this dude always with the holy grail pick ups
Now you just need the grail of all grails Pokemon Box. I will be highly surprised if you snag it for under a grand!
Disney magic racing was literally my absolute favorite game I still have my copy and still play it!
Mr. Luke will buy you those two seal boxes for just $150 millions dollars. Go ask him by yourself, but you must find a sabers before to meet him.
Fav series so far, looks like you're lapping retro Rick in subs nooiiiccee
I wanna know what you want for the empire strikes back game
I cried so hard after i saw Mario Party 7 again.... this game Was my childhood and will always be my hometown ❤! Iam so happy for you, that you finaly have it! By the way, i also love the winnie Pooh Games!
You need to try out the retro game collector app it will catalog your whole collection. That way you dont need to take pictures of your collection every time you go hunting.

I mean he pointed the cubivore out, he may have known the price/value of it and how kind of rare it is, but feels like it's too much of a hassle to sell it online.
Maybe he doesn't know much about computer stuffs since he's pretty old.
He's happy at the price, So why are you saying like "He ripped him off"
Why building a collection to sell it at the end? Whats the reason?
I think this is his main job and how he provides for his family.
Had me dying eith the raspberry and the sigh. Just enjoying the GameCube gambit series
