I love a Korean brand of these snacks. Korean BBQ, Chilli and Salt and Pepper. They cost us (here in The Philippines) about a quid for 3 packs containing 10 'wafer-thin-slivers' each. They are delicious but totally dry, not sticky at all.

Most seaweed consumed in the west is in the form of the parchment paper like nori which is used to hold sushi rolls together, outside of that it's the snack you reach for, when you literally can't find anything else to eat... also having it brush against your leg when you're swimming isn't a particularly pleasant feeling either.

Seaweed snack is very popular in China, Japan and South Korea, easily spotted in supermarket. When properly made they are more addictive than many candies here in UK
They are made exactly like that shape and cut and nobody complains about "how do I eat this" lol
Due to their extremely low density the price per gram is obviously very high.
I buy them a lot from Asian supermarkets. Some have a crunchy layer of rice on one side.
But I like the taste of seaweed.

Born and raised in California. People were eating this in high school when I was there. That was like 17.5 years ago.
Their business is still running to date, though it never became massive. Good for them 👍
I was eating those all the time in Thailand, but these that they produced can be bent and dont look crunchy like the Thai ones. That crunchiness was key to the experience.
The crunch means they aren't healthy though. These ones were trying to be a healthy snack

1 packet sells for 99p and they've already put £275,000 into the business 😳 even if they were making 70p profit per packet they'd have to sell 393,000 packets just to break even, but they'd likely make much less of a margin than that selling them to retailers. No chance for an invester, wouldn't see their money back for years, if at all.

Assets £45,736 to £55,694 and liabilities from £393,380 to £286, 765. So they've made no profit and their net worth has reduced in four years - no chance for an investor to see their money back for years, if at all.....

My fiance bought these same seaweed sheets from Walmart here in Tennessee but it was a different brand and she loved them but I didn't find them very good. She bought all they had which was about 8 or 10 packs but before she bought them, nobody was buying them. I'm not sure how they would do here in the states. I'm sure they wouldn't do bad.

Why do entrepreneurs always talk about how much they like their own products, as if that were a selling point. Of course they like their own product, but they aren't the ones going to buy it!

Because if you don’t, they will believe you will half ass your product and business ventures because you have no passionate drive.
There are entrepreneurs that didn’t like their own product or know their product is good, see it as a selling point but they have no emotional attachment to it, that ends up putting the dragons off due to lack of passion.
The more passion and belief you have for your product,.the more likely you are to make things work. They aren't gonna invest in someone who doesn't really come across as if they care or believe in the product. They are investing in you as a person as well as the product itself
To be fair I watched 1 the other day on TV and Debras asked "would you buy it" and he replied "probaly not" they were all flabgasted and all were out within about a minute.

That lease deal is what homeless people do. Every homeless person I talk to; talks about getting money and paying a year's worth of rent upfront do they don't have to worry about it. He's got the record with 20 years upfront. How did he get such an attractive wife?
