- Lloyd Hazell and Tasha Harris develop coffee-based body scrub to help aid the discomfort eczema brings. The two are seeking an investment of £30,000 in exchange for a 15% equity stake in 'Grounded Body Scrub' but will the entrepreneurs' nerves get the best of them?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

I think they should change the packaging so it looks more like a scrub and less like a bag of coffee grounds.
I actually really love the raw packaging
@James Cricket yes... it’s simple, not overly colorful or artificial-looking, it’s more of a raw packaging... it’s just a brown paper bag with a simple logo lol
@James Cricket I agree with you 100%, I like the style of packaging but I’m not going to trust a brand purely based on marketing tactics
The whole point is that it looks like coffee, bro
Somewhere out there, someone is having coffee scrubs for their morning coffee 😂
Oh, FOUR TO FIVE years. I thought they must have gone to school in the same testicle or something.
Same, watched it twice to realise it wasn't 45 years.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 thought the same
Literally had the same reaction.
Dead
Lee mack? Is that you?
I liked them. Simple people, not pretentious and not grossly overvaluing their business. I hope they do well.
deal fell through with sarah but as of 2019 their business is worth 15m
Yes. I like the nervousness of the young man, appears humble to me. God Bless them 🥰
@@yamum321 That's good to read 😊
@@yamum321 why did it fell trough? :(
@@yamum321 it's not. It's turned over 15 million in 7 years. They've only sold 500,000 units in that time so it's defo not worth that

Exactly, but he was good tv
True they must have edited her parts out for his humble simple happy go lucky style approach.
She carries herself well think they both lack real knowledge but got the backing so will do well i hope
@@everythingandanything3045 Why would they edit her? Surely that's misreporting; she may have said something useful, certainly she seems the more 'serious' one at face-value (which matters in Business)
@@netweed09 They do edit these to either present the individuals a certain way or to make it more humorous.
Even with simple scenes like the dragons reacting, pulling funny faces those aren't always their reactions to what they're made to seem.
I wouldn't have thought misreporting comes into it as it's only a light hearted television show with some scenes being manipulated for best dramatic outcome etc etc.
@@netweed09 It's reality TV, the whole thing is bits and pieces editted together. They probably save facial reactions for the right moment etc.
Deborah's age is the easiest way to tell how old an episode is without checking the date... Peter just doesn't age and the rest of them are swapped out with other people sometimes...
She has aged drastically throughout the seasons. So much so that when I started watching these videos on TH-cam, (it wasn't earliest to most recent order) I thought she was 2 different people on different seasons 😬

And he doesn't get out of bed for anything under 5%!
Hahahahahahahaha
Touker took inspiration from the hammer... in his London office.
bahahaha gross now i have a grey pube visual
I love authentic people. It's so refreshing these days.
They seem like such genuinely nice people. Great to hear they're doing so well!
As of December 2019, they had a turn over of over £15 million - so I can imagine that worked as a brilliant investment for Sarah
Sarah backed out of the investment.
I recognised the brand straight away from ads I've seen so I knew it would be a success story.
chickenbroncitis ahh, thank you - makes it even more incredible really
Wow!
She backed out? Coward. The dragons once again showing arrogance and ignorance. Lost out big time again

"What's the active ingredient?" *wait for it* "Coffee".
I loved her dead pan response.
Did you work that out all on your own, from the name of the product...coffee scrub. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a genius among us.
They don’t even know their own product! Coffee can’t be the only ingredient! Else we’d all be smearing coffee on our faces!!!!!
I really like seeing people on this show with no airs n graces, just being themselves. They made it big too which is all the more incredible!
Just me who heard that they were together for 45 years and they look like 35 year olds?
Yeah just heard that lol
They both sound like they've got the cold actually haha
Morgan Nimmo corna
Hahaha yes
Lol I think she said 4 to 5 years hahaa but yes it definitely sounds like 45!
The deal between dragon and the couple didn't work out, but the business has become hugely successful even without the dragons investment or guidance. Great outcome. They deserve it.
Thanks for the update
Sometimes the exposure gained purely from being on Dragon's Den is worth more than the best marketing an entrepreneur can afford.
I just read the about section on the their website. Here's a line "Grounded is stocked in over 30 countries worldwide and has developed from a coffee scrub made in the kitchen to a
whole body care brand." This is really awesome as an update, woo hoo!
They are doing brilliantly. Their product is stocked in 30 countries. Well on they way to becoming millionaires. Interestingly; they were asked if they wanted to come on the show, they never applied. I bet they're glad they accepted the invitation.
I heard they did 15mil, they are definitely millionaires
Indeed and they did it without any dragon.

I would work on her and she could work on me
what? It's an act.
JoshxIZ do you know her?
andymacduff2 No, but it's obvious. If the act works on you I guess your just gullible.
There's an element of truth in what your saying
To be fair, they got a bargain. I would’ve given away 99% of the business to get a hug from Sarah.
Lol
That's why you're poor.
I'd want more than a hug for 99%

How do? Sarah invested in their company.
@@Deangirl86 She pulled out after due diligence.

When he said those worse words “I don’t want to do anything I want someone else to do it”, at that point I wondered whether what people say has consequences and whether people still listen. Peter did not disappoint me. You can’t just come up with that and say it and expect someone like Peter to invest in your business.

as someone who’s done a lot of research into scrubs, coffee scrubs can actually be very damaging in the long run as theres a risk of the coffee pieces being granulated into different sized pieces and causing small punctures in the skin.
Did you try rubbing them on your bellend?
My mum used this "apri" scrub on her face for years that had ground nut husks in it and she absolutely destroyed her skin from the over abrasion before a dermatologist stepped in and told her to stop
Such an honest couple. Hope it all works out for them. Sarah is such a nice person too, good combo

With that single cup of water, Jenny washes her clothes, dishes and uses the remaining water to take a shower. If you were as frugal as she was, you'd probably be a trillionaire.
😂😂😂😂
She invested in water 30 years ago and it's now up 35 pence so she can buy a handful of sweets at the shop.
Jenny stopped investing in water since she joined dragons den because she started receiving free glasses during filming. Now that she isn't a dragon anymore, she is more dehydrated but continues to save money on water by opening her mouth during the rain 🌧

She invested in this and it’s now a 16 million pound business 🙃
I suppose you should know being a Rothschild? :)
0:10 Been together for 45 years! The youngest looking pensioners on earth.
"It's too much of a risk-factor".
"Your business is too young for us to take the risks".
"You would need a serious lot of time and attention".
It seems like all they seek for is an already established brand that does well, but then again when something that does good and is turning over profit actually appears on the show there's always the question:
"Well, what do you need us for?"
"Why do you need a dragon?"
"How would we be of any use to you?"
You're a dragon, they want your time and attention and in a lot of cases, that's also what you're offering, but when the entrepreneurs say that they need it, it's always "too much of a risk" and "takes up too much of their time".
So instead of asking the entrepreneurs why they are on the show, maybe the dragons should be questioned about why they think they're on the show if they themselves don't know what they're looking for.
It's so frustrating to watch sometimes and as proof of that, there's all the memes going around about the dragons, for example Jenny, who gets made fun of for never investing and using everything as an excuse to not invest in something, but not admitting that she just doesn't want to take a risk.
And that's what all the dragons are in a simple form.
They want something that's established and does well, but they still claim they want to add value to the business, so where is that sweet spot if you're also not willing to take the plunge and take a risk on something that sounds as promising as this for example.
To go back and claim what they say about them needing to invest not just money, but also a serious amount of time and dedication for their business; I'd like to remind people of the reality behind the "show" and what those multimillionaires actually think their time is worth by using a quote from these people that managed to make their brand known WITHOUT the help of a dragon:
"But the real reality is that it's a shame what you get treated like after the show. We waited seven months for nothing to happen, that is a long time in business - especially when you have everyone competing to be at the top.'"
I wonder why Sarah claimed she wanted to invest in this on the show if she hasn't had faith in it at all right from the beginning.
Just imagine if Sarah hadn't lost faith in the product and actually followed through with the investment for this amount of equity and how much more it would have added to her bank account.
Not only that but also if she followed through on "giving them the amount of attention they need" (like all of the dragons collectively agreed they need, but none other than Sarah actually made them an offer BUT ALSO didn't follow up on that agreement) how much her expertise would've actually helped this business by propelling it forward even more rapidly in a quicker amount of time.
Such a waste of potential for everyone involved.
I'm glad that they still, despite being absolutely neglected, still pulled through and are worth millions now.
I'd say the biggest loser in all of this is Sarah, just because she agreed on the show, but didn't follow up on it after camera's gone out and missed out on actual millions.
Even a 10% stake would have still made her 7-figures.
U have too much time on your hands my friend. No one will ever read this
