The father cost them Touker. There was a possibility there when all the other dragons were out but he just couldn't keep his mouth shut.
I'd very much doubt it. Like one of the Dragons said it's to easy to replicate by the bigger brands who are already in that market and they have way more data than him and the dragons. The Product just doesn't hold up simple as that to much risk involved.
Just to add him talking a ton didn't help his cause but that imo wasn't the sole reason.
His dad couldn’t keep his mouth shut throughout the entire pitch and Touker would’ve been their ideal Dragon investor but yes, a lot of valid points were made by all 5 Dragons

There was a reason none of the big manufacturers wanted to do it. Anytime you have an idea, ask yourself, why no one before me? That's not a reason in itself to not try but it's the best place to start to see if you have a good idea.

I just find the Jenny jokes a bit tiresome, especially when it's not true that she didn't invest, and that it would seem that Sarah Willingham had a similar level of investment. I wasn't really a fan of Jenny per se, but it's all a bit 🙄🙄 at this point.

And it would be really quite easy to at least get a handle on it. Just go into one surf shop in Cornwall on a quiet day and talk to the guy behind the counter. I bet you could visit just about every store in a single season.

I've surfed since age 10yo. There was a time back in the 80s when flouro coloured kit was slightly popular, especially with Japanese surfers. But the majority of surfers did not like looking like a tropical fish and the look sunk fast.

You can already get suits in multiple colours, but funky designs like in this vid not so common. Not that I like them, I find it a bit garish. Solid colors do it for me, but just pointing out we don't have to just stick to black wetsuits.

I almost commented to say so but thought 'naaaahhh, can't be arsed'. It's not a 'swimming costume'. It's a surfing wetsuit. They're not the same thing. Wetsuits have only ever really been sold in black.. This is just an injection of fun/aomething different into something normally pretty drab and standard. Nothing wrong with that. I like them.

I bought myself one of those funky seal Wetsuits Just before Christmas 2019 , the same design that the young man is wearing in Medium. It is really good, fits me perfectly and I love the design too.

it’s a cool idea but the designs are revolting, like some mish mash of traditional Mongolian tribal wear and gift wrapping paper. Should have been designing for the sports market.

It's a shame, the Dad is obviously a nice guy, and has a great deal of energy which can be infectious but he has a tendency to overshadow his son, and needs to listen to what others have to contribute, rather than waiting for his turn to talk.
