I love you. I'm actually allergic to 7 out of 8 of those food groups. I remember doing a presentation in college on the top 8 allergens and I remember my professor asking my how my parents managed to raise me while avoiding them. When I reflected on it, it made me sad. I can have fruits and vegetables and meats. But it's kind of hard to find healthier/yummy ways of cooking sometimes. I get frustrated while shopping every once and awhile and my husband wonders what has possessed me. L0l. Sometimes I just get frustrated because I want more options.
charnae young it is not that hard you can just buy allergy friendly stuff like coconut milk, bread with no milk gluten or sesame also dairy free ice cream like the brand so delicious(it is really good) and crackers too I can go on forever but I won’t I’m just trying to say there is replacements for all the food trust my my brother has 7 1/2 of the 8 also he doesn’t just get a small reaction he goes to the hospital and his thorough closes up and can’t breathe same with me.
We are going through the exact same thing as you with our 12 year old daughter. Allergic to everything in this video. The ‘allergy free’ versions make her even sicker.
@@loriboyce942 Have you had your daughter tested for nickel allergy? If not, it could be a life changer if she has it. You will find a way to avoid a lot of foods for her. Yes, it is challenging but it's possible. This video is wonderful if someone can eat this way. The recipes are full of nutrients and flavor. However, with a nickel allergy one has to avoid legumes, whole grain, nuts, raspberries, chocolate, dark green leafy veggies and a few others. Meat is fine. Dairy is fine. White rice and white wheat bread with no soy is fine. I hope you can get to the source of the allergy. I saw on another video someone being allergic to nickel and cobalt. I'm 50 and I've known about my nickel allergy since I was a kid but never attributed it to food. Game changer for sure. Good luck.
My 2 year old is allergic to dairy and eggs. We are hopeful he will outgrow his allergies but it is definitely hard. I am curious have you always been allergic since birth or did you gain them in adulthood?
thank you so much, this is so helpful. my food allergies were diagnosed a year ago and i also have ibs. these look awesome and i’m inspired to make them
Food allergies are such an important topic. I'm glad you're talking about how your body can react so differently in the few days following a reaction. Your body becomes really sensitive and goes into a bit of a tailspin. So having some options of really basic easy but tasty options is really great
I'm allergic to cinnamon not a common one I think they put it in post cereals. I'm allergic to sulfites sulfates they are in all cleaning products including those we use on ourselves.
I am allergic to raw veggies, fruits and nuts 😩 and get contact dematitis when apply home made face masks or scrubs. I need artificial stuffs to survive and it's hard 😩😩
TIPS: use Burmese tofu (chickpea tofu) its hard to find but plenty of recipes on how to make it at home! ALSO LENTIL PASTA IS AMAZING and cauliflower rice is awesome to.
I noticed that you said you loaded up your base soup with "vegetables", but you never mentioned that it also has mushrooms in it. Mushrooms are not a vegetable; they are a fungus, and many people (including me) are allergic to them. If raw, they can cause anaphylactic shock, and if cooked, the reaction is much more mild, as the spores are killed off. In that case, I usually get really bad nausea and fever. It's surprising how many thing people are allergic to, these days. I have an aunt who is allergic to carrots, of all things. I wish there were a good alternative to mushrooms.

@@sobeliever1638 First learn what an auto-immune disease means. Your immune system reacts to things or surroundings and deems it to be an allergen. I meant allergies in that sense and not just food allergies.
