    Yes! I have incorporated so many of these habits into my daily meals. I have problems with inflammation, and the things I find helpful are adding hemp/flax and turmeric to oatmeal, fresh ginger in dinner meals, turmeric lattes (cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, plant milk, maple syrup), snacking on pumpkin seeds and unsalted roasted nuts, juicing (celery, carrot, lemon, ginger), olive oil drizzled on pasta, making black bean and walnut "meatballs" to accompany carb heavy pasta meals, consciously eating more protein, and pineapple. Pineapple is my savior, I have sinus issues too, and since they're anti-inflammatory and immune boosting, I notice such a difference when I go a week without. Also, yeah cutting out certain foods like sugar, processed junk, fried food, allergens (peanut butter, soy), and gmos with glyphosphate. I can't eat whole foods brand oatmeal, but the costco glyphosphate-free one or bob's red mill work great for me. Sorry to be so long-winded, but in case anyone else stumbles across this looking for any more tips! Thank you for this video 💙

      Omg I drink that same latte on a regular! Only I make it indulgent by also adding a little organic unrefined virgin coconut oil (huge tub from Walmart $15), organic vanilla extract (cooked into it), organic nutmeg, & a pinch of pink Himalayan salt. Try it. It's a game changer! 😍 I absolutely love it and notice when I've gone without, too (same w pineapple). So yes yes yes I agree on the pineapple! It's my savior for digestion too (I also take systemic enzymes with & without my food for inflammation). I also need to incorporate more protein. I think switching to organic has made a positive impact as well. If we keep ingesting extra toxins from pesticides our bodies have that much more to struggle with, too. Even though it's pricey, I feel it is worth it for our overall health & well-being. I also like freshly squeezed lemon juice in my a.m. green tea. Vitamin E supplements also help a couple nights prior + leading into my monthly menses with pain/inflammation, a lot. Going to try the flax & turmeric with my oatmeal (sounds interesting, with some plant milk, cinnamon, & maple?). Thanks! 💙

      @@_.A7777 Yes! I'll have to try your way!. When I indulge in the turmeric lattes I usually use the Full Fat Oatly that has added DHA algae oil. Lately, I've just been putting everything that I put in a turmeric latte in my morning oatmeal instead 😅 And I'd recommend ground flax for digestion. Both ground flax and hemp seeds are cheapest at Costco, I've found. I agree about the toxins. Thankfully I'm not picky, so I usually eat whatever organic produce is on sale each week! Thanks for the extra tips!

      @@EvanKiss Np, thank You, too! You're going to love it, I promise! & it is good that you're not picky ☺ same here 🤷‍♀️ hey I'll try all that in my morning oats + the gr flax, too! Why not.? (It works, Right?! ☺) & to soothe your sinuses, try nettle tea. It's an overall feel-good. I order in bulk from Bigelow online (6pk) because I can't find it in stores anymore. It's called "Refresh" & it has dandelion, nettle, turmeric, blk pepper, & matcha. 🤔 Have you ever tried aromatherapy for your sinuses such as Eucalyptus essential oil? Believe it's good for lungs too if I'm not mistaken. Oh & if you buy whole pineapple, save the core to add to your juicing recipe. It's the part that has the magic bromelain in it for inflammation. Thanks again & sorry for the late reply! These tips are gems! Love the sharing! 🥰

    Thank you for this partial anti-inflammatory foods list. At least it helped me know what to focus more on as most don't talk or know about soy(edamame, tofu, etc); although plant based it's still carries inflammatory properties that many times for women causes cysts & fibroids.

    • @eponymousIme
      @eponymousIme 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We don't know for certain that soy is inflammatory in humans. More study is needed.
      >>Soy and some of its constituents, such as isoflavones, have been shown to affect the inflammatory process in animal studies. The association between soy food intake and inflammatory markers has not been evaluated adequately in humans.

    Great info, love this, thanks for sharing info. Quick thought...I've been told you are not supposed to cook or heat Olive oil and it should only be eaten raw and is great for you raw... it is said cooking it makes it toxic.. partially due to its low smoke point etc... I thought I'd mention since I keep seeing the topic cone up. Just thought I should mention for further research. They are saying grapeseed oil is an alternate, does Pompeo also make a grapeseed Oil? Thanks 😊

    That's the Olivee Oill I always use. Its nice oil. I didn't know it would help with Inflammation. I have low inflammation. My mom has it really high though. It can also cause fibromyalgia. If you have it very high. Ty for this. I do eat loads of Broccoli. I do love Kale. Had to go make my Orange Smoothie. 💖 Love roasted Sweet Potatoes.

    Very clever recipes! Yeah, South Koreans eat small, purple, sweet potatoes. They even put them on pizza. I find that too much carbohydrates, but it tastes good. They also make pumpkin pancakes that are very good!

    I have definitely been looking into anti inflammatory foods. Such as what are they and how to include more of them into my diet. I have chronic pain and several diagnoses that I want to decrease or just be rid of. Being in constant pain is exhausting. So I appreciate the fact that you made this video. I'm not sure why I'm just now seeing it a day later. But I'm glad I've watched it. Thanks for the information. And I welcome any further information that anyone may have that would help me.

    Thank you so much for this video! I do eat meat, so am a flexitarian, rather than fully vegan, but there's still a lot of great information for me and others who at least are wanting to eat a mostly plant-based diet and reduce inflammation. One thing about sweet potatoes (I have to be careful of this because of insulin resistance) is that their glycemic index rating is significantly higher when they are baked or roasted, as opposed to when they are boiled. So, while they may taste better baked, people with blood sugar/insulin issues might be better off boiling them. I don't know if steaming is the same as boiling? I would assume so. Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there, for anyone who might need to know. Blessings!

    The top vegan researchers would disagree about olive oil being anti-inflammatory. In fact they would say it promotes inflammation. Other than that, nice colorful vegan food. Your red beans and rice video inspired me to make it and it was very tasty. Of course, I used no oil.

Thank you for sharing your tasty tips on sweet potato treats added to other foods. I had not thought of roasting the cubes and putting them in salad.
