Sounds like you may have a grease issue or possibly a bearing going out. Tip the bearing where the rear driveshaft meets the rear axle housing goes out very easily from the crazy heat produced by the planetary. Until you get a vitavon rear axle housing, maybe consider some red and tacky bearing grease in the rear axle, planetary and the tubes where your axles go to the tires. Helps keep debris out of the gears and really helps with the temps. To really get her good do the transmission planetary as well.
You make really good videos Jason ! Have you changed anything else on this UDR ? I’d like to see more about it. I just ordered one and some upgrades and stainless steel screws. Thanks
No. I got the Hammer Rey with most of the Vitavon parts all ready installed. I've installed a few other parts and done most of the set up. Traded the O8S EXB for it.
@@GreatLakesRC I know. :/. But I've wanted that Hammer Rey for awhile now. It was local to me, and I knew how much he spent, and that he hardly drove it. Full Vitavon, Shift RC servo, Tekin Roc HD 3100KV motor, etc. He wanted the X-Maxx. But I had a lot less in the O8S.
Hello jason I was wondering if you can tell me what a traxxas honda ridgeline is worth without the remote control or charger.. i took the body off and looks complete and very clean.. thank you
I bought that exact same steering servo and it won’t turn the tires on the ground but it will in the air, what did I do wrong? I centered it before hand, I can’t figure it out
I find the rear tires when tightened snug up to the axle to much causing friction. Almost gotta tighten them up then back off a little. That’s my solution so far, any other suggestions let me know!
I think the drivetrain drag might be from the planetary gearbox in the rear axle, eliminates torque twist but I could see how that may cause excess drag.
Definitely the planetary systems causing increased resistance on run down. There’s two planetary systems in there offering a reduction effect for the motor. On run down the opposite occurs.
Oil Paint markers is where it’s at. Permanent markers is a no go, all black ends up with a purple hue. Love your content and your ocd for perfection
The drag brake feel is the super low gearing’s inverse effect. Similar principles at play in torsen differentials.
the rolling resistance will never go away it from the reduction of the planetary gears in the trans and rear axle

Glad to hear your going with vitavon parts.
Reminds me of the night package on 1:1's. Looks boss💪

There are 2 sets of planetary gear sets in the udr in the front housing and rear diff you’ve probably found that out by now though..
The Reef servo is made by AGFRC but the Reef's is more expensive because they branded it.
I think the 'drag' feel or resistence when spinnig the tires are becuse of the plantary gear on the rear diff.
i’ve never had a issue with the drag brake thing my truck rolls perfectly fine
Wow bro. I love the tires on the hammer looks bad a$$😊
Coming along nicely 👍 Did I miss a video on the Hammer Rey 😱👀

The drag in the drive train is the planetarys
How strong are they? I'm looking to buy Viviaton wheel and I don't want these to strip the wheels or vise versa
Nice when are you gonna run the outcast 8s exb 😁?

Awesome updates Jason! Wanted to ask you, why did you end up selling your SBR 2.0?? I’m in between that and the UDR and wanted to hear your thoughts
Reminds me of bearings that aren't lubed properly and there binding
