I know this vid is a year old....but a tip for your GoPro: DO NOT "scuff up" the surface when you put the tape on. Leave the surface as smooth as possible. You want maximum surface area for the tape to hold on to.
Hundred percent I would’ve liked to of seen what the Mojave was actually capable of because not being a dick but he was just a better more aggressive driver
I did get a Traxxas udr for my birthday last year and have had an amazing experience with it. This truck just takes the scale realism to the next level and is just amazing to watch drive around. I have also had a great experience durability wise. It’s not really meant for bashing but it can certainly take a beating. If you’re looking for a beautiful piece of machinery, and great performing truck, I highly recommend the Traxxas udr.
I honestly never considered the UDR. I'm very happy with the EXB MOJAVE since it's easier to work on, more durable and a can be bashed and jumped harder with little issues. 👍
I’m planning to move to Arizona fairly soon, so buying a desert racer makes sense. I’ve been looking at the UDR, but it’s nice to see some other options like the Mojave. So far, however, I’m still more attracted to the UDR. I like the way it looks more, and it’s features overall I think look better. What I’d really like to see is the Mojave versus the Ultimate Slash 4x4, as I’ve also considered the Ultimate for its more affordable price. Also, I don’t intend to use mine for bashing, just simple racing and such. I have a basher for bashing. 🤷♂️
It would have been cool if they switched cars to do the race again to see how much driver impacted the results however they both did similar. Also did you mention Traxxas link and the app and how it displays speed and battery for the car and controller. I have a UDR. I would assume the Mojave is better if you want a simple good out of the box truck but idk. I still chose UDR as Traxxas parts are usually cheaper and easy to find, there is usually better upgrades too. I can not emphasise how much it would cost you to get a perfect UDR especially with it costing more to begin with though. I would say I haven't used a Mojave but judging by the video you would agree the UDR is the best car handling wise with the solid rear diff and suspension setup, it has a nice balance too.(although front heavy on jumps compared to other RCs). I have upgrade my UDR to where I can bash it beyond the point where its not a con to the UDR however its going to cost much more than the Mojave but its at the point where I don't think I could get the same fun out of the Mojave no matter how many upgrades it has. Its just the way it drives and I think its worth it. I do have some tips for UDR owners as I have mine very durable and I have tried various parts and I take it to skate parks and bash it. In order of importance and starting with common knowledge(roughly). protect the shell with filament, weave or reinforcing tape. you do not need to cover the whole body just where there is friction and the thin points and around the mount points where its best to add a washer or extra layer of plastic to them especially the rear, front window pillars, skirts and front wheel arches. proline shells are thicker at the standard shells weak points. You will need to upgrade the wheel hubs pretty much any metal ones will do but hot racing ones are far superior. You will need a metal front centre shaft. Trailing arm upgrade. GPM are light strong and cheap. RPM might be better as they may flex and protect the tie rod on your shocks. Bigger battery means higher voltage for longer which increases the fun for me. I use a 6500mah URUAV 6s LIPO and it only fits when you remove the brace, don't worry it isn't going anywhere. Its probably a good idea to get a hot racing fan and motor mount to cool the motor as mine was getting quiet hot. this wouldn't be an issue but I decided to get one to protect the motor and if you have a bigger battery or switch it out and put fresh ones in id recommend it. The stock servo is weak and prone to break. people will recommend the Savox servo but the eco power is a much better choice, fully water proof, cheaper, faster and stronger than any servo I could find while using the standard 6v, yes I compared about 7 servos and how they perform at 6v. You need a BTU to get more voltage to get the speed and torque they display. Also it has survived the test of time so its hands down the best. Try to stick to the stock tyres as the proline ones are too good they may put more stress on the car and even with the upgraded sway bars they increase how much you roll significantly and would very likely reduce your time on a track due to you slowing down or rolling on corners and you will roll while bashing and drifting will be more destructive. the only advantage would be more traction in strait lines which is not an issue. Hot racing front driveshafts work great but make sure you put plenty of Loctite on the grub screws as the average amount is not enough I lost one but had another drive shaft to take it from but the grub screw pin is quite unique and I can't find spares anywhere. I have GPM shocks which make everything easy on the car and the shock shafts have a much bigger diameter. Getting some metal skid plates for the rear diff will protect it from anything and it cheaper and lighter than a fully CNC one which can be harmful to other parts. getting a skid plate for the front is a good idea too although I don't use one at the front and its only a little worn. A good upgrade to pair with the GPM shocks is the GPM rear suspension linkage but Hot Racing would be better but cost more. I would avoid anything GPM from this point on as the other parts they make are not strong enough to make the UDR perfect. Search for a 3D printed front bumper which is made to flex and applies pressure to the upper and lower front bumper it also is a big curve which could use the force to push the UDR to the side a little . I broke my bumper strait away previously but with the printed added one it flexes and has survived a nearly top speed crash into a wall, I'd say 40mph or just under, and I wasn't expecting it to have no damage at all but it absorbed it all and has continued to prevent the car from taking any damage it goes to the edge of the shell nearly protecting right to the wheels as opposed to not having it and the standard bumper without it doesn't. My sway bar got destroyed while bashing and I didn't notice I repaired it and couldn't justify using it I tested it with my hands and it was indeed working but I just removed it for bashing as its a liability and I can drive just as good without it it doesn't roll more and can corner aggressive. also if you want a front sway bar the GPM one is pathetic and the Hot racing one has a thicker bar with a drill bit to make holes for it so id recommend that one or none. Its not really a tip or important upgrade but if you like the scale of the UDR like me Its a nice touch to add some better fire extinguishers that are painted better and perhaps have metal mounts and rubber hoses. I added them slightly lower and they look like they are in a good spot and survive rolls. This is literally every upgrade you need and I haven't managed to fault any of these upgrades yet after using them for a long time with over 12 foot jumps and high speed crashes and rolling down hills and crashing into an Xmaxx and regular use on skate parks so I hope some1 finds this useful.
@Founding Fathers haha ye true I can't deny I am a traxxas fanboy. But the udr and mojave are very different and it depends what you want. I just state the reason I like the udr and my experience with it. I cant help but read your reply imaging you are offended in some way. But have you even watched the video the guy says he loves the way the udr handles and drifts. This is because it has a solid rear diff and a completely different suspension setup with sway bars. is that evidence enough for ya? I mean compared to the mojave I said it "looks like it handles better" and I prefer the scale which is an opinion. It baffles me how you can look at my comment in a negative way and then get annoyed, we all love the hobby and there is no need to be a snowflake.
I purchased the UDR 10 months ago because it looked great. After a couple of runs, parts began to break: front bumper, body, body cage, drive shaft, etc. I wasn't able to purchase any replacement parts because EVERYTHING was on back order all summer. The battery compartment is also a huge problem. Only one set of 40 batteries would fit properly. I definitely would NOT recommend the Traxxas UDR - the RC rolls more than any other RC that I own. The Mojave (EXB) is a much better RC in my opinion.
UDR owner. Into RC cars since the 70's and I can say this is my favorite ride ever. The only thing that comes close was the first Losi truck with similar trailing suspension. I'm into racing and realism and have never really bashed except for the Losi truck I mentioned. Appreciate the review.
Just a little tuning on the shocks for the Mojave and it will perform way better on the heavy terrains.Revalve kits come with this unit as well for those like me that want to take the time and tune the suspension👍❤️
I actually own both of them and absolutely love the Mojave. I actually got my teenage kids into RCs with me so the bashing capabilities and ease of maintenance of the Mojave is more fitting. I can’t argue the the UDR is extremely awesome with its scale looks when driving, definitely not as durable as the Mojave though.
I was going to get a udr and then the Losi sbr 2.0 was released so I bought one of those instead and I bash the hell out of it and so far I haven't broken anything. I think the losi has the best of both, durability, scale and performance.
I’m about to put a Open diff with 40k in the UDR, and I think it’ll still be a more unique Handling experience. I’ve had a lot of 1/10 4x4 scts so I hope I made the right choice considering I also sold them all within 1 year
I'm LOVING my 1/10 associated Pro4 SCT. Its a beast, all the electronics are dead SOLID hardware, so fast, and I havent been able to break it even bashing hard in the desert out here. Even on 3s she just takes everything I throw at her. If they offered a kit that I could assemble with the same or slightly less cost and all the same components id even like that more cuz building em is fun. People complain about no TCM, but I've found that it's so stable it doesn't NEED it...plus you can't use stabilization in races.
These 2 trucks are nothing alike. Yes they both have TT bodies but that is where the similarity ends. The mojave is a freakin beast but if you want scale the ya gotta go UDR. both atr great rigs, so you may as well just buy both.
I couldnt decide which to buy , difficult decision . Bought the UDR first and within 4 months went and picked up the Mojave . After a few weeks of going head to head , the UDR came up as the winner .I love the scale look of the UDR .
The scale look is awesome and how realistic the suspension works along with how the body rolls on turns. But I prefer the Mojave it's simple large cheap to repair compared to the UDR.
Yes, I bought the UDR because looks so realistic I know the Arrma have better handling, is more durable and easy to work But I love the realistic suspension in the UDR. The winner for me.
I´ve got both trucks. As you did i can appreciate the UDR for realistic driving and the Mojave as the basher. Broke a front bumper, the Lexan body and killed the drive shaft on the UDR. The Mojave only broke Body mounts and the Front an Rear Bumper absorber.. these spacers with the two "o" rings.
Im pretty sure the front end is open diff s9 that whatbi account that for and they did it like that so it was a more scale experience atleast thats my opinion if your going racing id take the mojave but for some nice pics n videos for insta and stuff id take the udr i got a losi hammer rey to kinda meet in the middle and so far i love it perfect mix of scale realism and performance ngl i was after the baja rey black rhino edition tho
I've had both of these for a year now, you can't compare these trucks. The UDR is one of the coolest Trucks you can get if you're a real enthusiast, a fast and realistic scale model. The Mojave is a purpose built RC but somehow one of the most fun and awesome SCT's you'll ever own. You should get both trucks.
i dont understand why people tend to compare the two trucks when theyre all two different platforms and were not really meant to compete with one another. udr is meant for more scale driving mainly whoops and small jumps, while mojave is more to be compared with slash or ultimate slash. udr should be compared with sbr or br. with same independent front and solid axle at the rear, mojave should be competing against other full independent suspension trucks out there
Arrma Mojave EXB HW EZ Run MAX 6 paired with HW 4985 and Traxxas 2250 Servo in matching red housing..normally comes in blue. Absolutely worth it unfortunately I’ve never been able to drive a Traxxas UDR but I do have a Traxxas MAXX @RCkiwis Any advice for a power upgrade I have a GEN two Teagan RX8 ESC and I believe a 1850motor tQi tekin motor attached is that far too much? Or will it even fit in my highly custom traxxas car?
Whats up guys great video, I own a mojave and it's a great truck. After first run had to change the center diff oil to 200k and I changed the front diffvoil to 30k. And I had to put some fuel tubing on the shock shafts so the didn't bottom out. I had to change the shock oil to 60w. Jumps alot better and with th 30k diff oil in the front it's alot better handling.
I would get the Arrma Mojave EXB as trying to get anything from Traxxas shipped to Australia is almost impossible unless paying 50% more for them. Even for some simple parts some sellers will not do it as I tried to get the Traxxas Drag Slash and 33' Hot Rod Coupe from Amain Hobbies. But they can not ship to Australia as Traxxas does not allow it. I did get the Drag Slash for $400.00AU more than it cost for my ZD Racing EX-07. That makes the Traxxas Drag Slash the most expensive RC Car I now have.
I bought the UDR because for a very long time, that has been my dream car, plus it was $100.00 off the normal price and came with the light kit! BUT! I do plan on adding a Mojave to the collection as well! Both of these are must have desert trucks!
i own both of these. the mojave does traction roll a lot as mentioned. being tall and double wishbone suspension. and is 10 miles an hour faster out of the box. the udr being solid axle, and having avc makes driving it easier. turns better and carries more speed in the corners
It was a tough decision for me I went with the arrma due to some of the upgrades you would have to do to actually make it bash ready Where the arrma comes that way But more importantly as long as you have fun with this hobby it really doesn't matter in the end I enjoy this hobby I call it my hobbsession Lol Just be happy and enjoy the fun whether it's rc cars Trains Sports or whatever
I havent driven a UDR, but watching the way it moves over bumps and jumps (like a real desert truck) plus the details of it make the arrma look like a bouncy child's toy by comparison!
The Mojave looks like it’s a better designed and pricey slash. It handles the same as a slash. The UDR looks so realistic and handles so much better. I’m more impressed with the realism and scale of it too. I know it’s not as durable as the Mohave. But I’d pick the UDR or the Mohave
I’m trying to buy a PC and dam as a kid when i was young, well i’m still a kid at 15 but when I was 4-7 i always wanted a toy car and the hobby cars as always fun for being fast the speed is fun but man i’ll get one soon
i Own UDR and i LOVE IT, i love the handling and even the way it crashes i have modded some of the internals to bring down the motor and drivetrain temps cause i drive mine A LOT and go staright from one pack to another for hours with my Dad ( i have 4x 6000 mah MAX AMPS packs) and my only real problem now is with the drive shaft but recently bough an MIP and hopefully that solves it. I would like a Mojave but i might have to get a Felony first cause i would like a road car and don't have one and i LOVE the way the felony handles
I love your videos, always great content and commentary. Love the editing and camera work too. I have neither vehicle you've featured in this video but what is always a significant factor in purchasing a vehicle for me is accessibility to replacement parts or upgrade parts. Especially in higher end vehicles that travel higher speeds and take more punishment. Nothing kills love for a vehicle when you can’t replace a crucial part to run it or you have to wait months for replacement parts. Keep posting great relatable videos for us to enjoy!
@@TheRcKiwis Sorry to hear you’re waiting so long for parts to arrive. I love the hobby and now there are so many different brands, my concern is finding replacement parts. Even on Amazon if you look closely at the delivery dates on some parts are coming from China. I love the options that are out there but as a rule of thumb I stick with brands that I know or that have a good presence in the hobby and that are in stock locally or a reputable online retailer.
You said it perfect! The traxxass UDR I have to admit……it’s scale and performance is also scale… It’s harder to work on in terms of practicality but that’s the trade off as the word HOBBY implies like the Arrma Mojito being easy to work on keeping the “traditional” Hobby car platform we’re all used to seeing on 98% of rc cars since for ever…. This is proof that a “scale” rc vehicle means more than just looks, it’s like shrinking the real vehicle and it’ll still perform like the real thing. I would essentially pick Arrma Mojave bcs of its durability and better mod and upgrade advantages.. traxxass did good.
I always describe the UDR as part model and part RC. Not a basher by any means. It’s meant to run it to scale and it does so beautifully. There’s nothing else out there that moves and handle like the UDR 👊😜
@@surfside75 yeah I was driving my buddys new udr and wanted a trophy truck so I bought sbr1 for 599 new bind edition over the udr. It's just way more for the buck in my opinion its just beefier with everything being 1/6. I know it's not as scale but I dont care It's awesome. On 3rd year and still going strong with original esc and engine.
When I considered the Mohave, it was either that or the super Baja rey. I had seen too much negative feedback about the udr always breaking. The udr def looks cooler than the Mohave tho
the extra money for the UDR is so worth it. the Mojave looks good but it has no realism and looks bouncy. really looks like a fast radioshack rc car. the UDR looks "weighted" and very balanced. the thing can whip around at high speeds and not flip. Mojave - arcade mode UDR - simulation
Cheers from cleveland. I'm a paramatic sitting in my ambulance. Killing time and came across your video I. 'm myself On the mojave six . I love both of your trucks! This video was great. I am so jealous that my wife has no interest. Let alone isn't great driver you guys are a kickass couple cheers
Man I love my Mojave 6s and have the newest version with Spektrum Tech👍❤️Only thing I recommend is changing the weak servo and makes it so much smother and responsive👍
I like the look of the udr and it’s fun to drive with all the suspension travel but the mojave is definitely tougher out of the box. That being said I own 2 Mojave’s and 6 udr’s with the udr’s being shelf queens and the Mojave’s getting beat on hahahaha
I have the mojave and love to drive it and working on the truck for maintance is also very easy! Downside is that rear wheels Come lose. Also the center diff melts, so i installed n an aluminum housing with thicker fluid.
I love Traxxas and will continue to buy them when I see one of their products I want. I bought the Mojave and it’s the best basher I’ve ever bought can’t believe the speed.
Something I never thought I’d say. But time has proved me wrong so I’ll share here. The ZD short course truck is pretty badass. I only got it because it was on sale and was cheap. Comes 4S 120 amp with a 4274 motor not sure the kv rating. But I was really bored with it so I added a “HEX8” redcat 150 amp 6S ESC (max8 for 50 bucks cheaper) and kept the original motor and instantly became faster than my 6S typhon. But that made me want to upgrade the Typhon so I got the 8S 160 amp spectrum esc but found it much easier to add to the ZD so now from stock 4S 120 up to 8S 160 amp it now is the fastest thing I’ve ever seen. So far the original motor is still holding up. So almost a year later I’m shocked at the durability and versatility of the ZD short course truck
@@jimmyv1753 thank you for the reply! I'm after a decent sized sct! But I really not keen in Arrma their build quilty is poop! But there doesn't seem many options
@@dualtrondreamteam6811 I completely disagree about Arrma. I have 4 and have beat them mercilessly for years and have only had to replace a few typical steering pieces on rare occasions. So I think it depends a lot on which one coming off the line that you get. I’ve had some wltoys models that come with broken pieces straight from the factory and some that have been seemingly indestructible. The same can be said about most I think luck has a lot to do with it. I will say my 1/5 Arrma outcast did break the front A-arm within moments of taking it out of the box and running it. It rolled into a train track at about 2 mph on full brake. So I guess I don’t completely disagree but for the most part I’ve had really good luck with Arrma
@@dualtrondreamteam6811 I’m not sure what the scale is for my short course truck the ZD model I was talking about but it is massive. I think it was sold as a 1/8 scale but it’s huge. It’s one of the largest I have and I have a bunch of 1/8 scale redcats, Arrmas and a bunch of weird off brand stuff like the JLB cheetah and Speed (which are very fun but have more power than they can take structurally) I’d guess that ZD to be closer to a 1/6 scale than 1/8 but honestly I’m not entirely sure how they scale them.
i have tested out the Mojave and the Traxxas UDR and the traxxas stock is faster out the box hitting 50 mph where the Mojave is just a few mph shy of hitting 50 mph. As for easy to use the traxxas is really just plug and play and if you get the Bluetooth adaptor for the remote you can control the lights on the truck from day time running lights to low beam and high beam. Also with or with out the body the cage in itself looks amazing along with the TMS system it allows even a beginner to drive fast and confidently unlike the Mojave where you would need some moderate skills just to run it at 80%. hands down I Think price to performance and upgradeability the UDR with its power up program you can upgrade the powertrain for a cheaper cost than the Mojave. now cleaning it is another story it takes FOREVER to clean it since there is so much detail i just use a hose and wash it off and get most of it clean while the Mojave has very easy access to the internals. The one down side of the Traxxas UDR i would have to say is the battery tray not allowing you to add more battery's but i would have to say that they are very well protected also by limiting the battery compartment its makes it very predictable to drive . Now for the Mojave its pretty cheap just to use Velcro to strap down the batteries also as she has stated they keep falling out but you can add bigger batteries which in itself is a double edge sword. On one hand bigger batteries equal to longer run times but at the cost of weight and making it very unbalanced and harder to drive with more potential energy throwing the truck off course making it very unpredictable to drive but i would say that the Mojave is more of a basher and not to realistic while the Traxxas UDR is some what of a basher but very realistic in diving styles with or with out the body attached. At the end if you want a basher go Mojave but if you want something that looks pretty real with easy to drive out the box along with some bashing i would highly recommend the Traxxas UDR also the fact that it comes with lights and the break lights work is pretty cool where the Mojave doesn't come with lights also parts for both of them are easy to find along with the charging system of the traxxas its very plug and charge and it just does it for you with the ID chargers.
I love em both. The UDR is the most realistic driving RC car on the market. The Mojave is super tough and fast. In the end, if you are an RC enthousiast you have got to own both of them plus the Losi Super Baja Rey, which is just as good as the other two.
I like them all from all the reviews I see been Mojave as much more reliable but you did put the UDR through some pretty good jumps and it didn't look like anything really broke make my choice even harder
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information no matter witch one you choose it’s a win win situation just add upgraded power and power full batteries with charger 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Got the Mojave since August 2022, love it. servo died after 2 or 3 weeks, got replacement from Arrma after 4-5 weeks, bought 1-2 days Amazon delivery (ZOSKAY 35kg high Torque Coreless Motor servo Metal Gear Digital and Stainless Steel Gear servo arduino servo for Robotic DIY,RC car (Control Angle 180°)) and it it is still running on it, WIN WIN. Btw the Mojave also carries/pulls my 3 y son in it's plastic cart or however I want to call this rubber crapshow (not just talking about my son) :) STFU he's adorable (i mean my son)
I have a UDR and love it. The way it runs and moves it has the best scale feel. It is not the MAXX or even the XMAXX. Just a different kind of Traxxas animal. Great review proof is in the video
Mojave is the best. The only thing you'd want a udr for is scale and if you like a long winded headache every time you need to get under the body. The mojave is four pins and the body is off.
I thought about getting the traxxas UDR. Until I found out it took almost 40 bearings for the rear axle. That made me have to pass on it. But I did get to drive one and it was fun.
Even though they seem similar, they are very different. The Mojave is more of a basher where the UDR is all about being as realistic as possible. UDR for me.
Man, now you got me rethinking again guys. I was just about to pull the trigger on the losi baja rey 10. Have you guys got any experience with it? The zd racing dbx 07 just came out, hope you guys review it.
i have not yet seen the video, but i will say that the mojave is the better for bashing and racing, udr only wins in scale driving, now lets see what you say ;)
Let me decide for you. Mojave, hands down. Don't get me wrong, the UDR is stupidly beautiful, but that is all it has on the Mojave-not that the Mojave is ugly. It's one of the better looking rtr's out there. Its just that the UDR is stunning in person.

Hey guys, love the channel! Im looking at buying the UDR but I see your link is a company in the states.
Im in Auckland, where should I buy one?
I know this vid is a year old....but a tip for your GoPro: DO NOT "scuff up" the surface when you put the tape on. Leave the surface as smooth as possible. You want maximum surface area for the tape to hold on to.
I would’ve liked to see you guys switch cars and then race again and then each give your opinion about which one you felt handled better on the track
Agree their content is always fun
Hundred percent I would’ve liked to of seen what the Mojave was actually capable of because not being a dick but he was just a better more aggressive driver
I love Traxxas, but the Mojave is the winner for me. So fun to drive, I wanted to see more of your experience with the Mojave
Will have it out again soon!
How do u drive without fpv? Isnt a fpv system better ??
I have the Mojave, absolutely love it. Fast, handles well, strong and reliable.
Cool video i like how the UDR rips across the terrain like nothing! That would be my pick! I am kind of a traxxas fanboy though!
I was going to get a udr and then the Losi sbr 2.0 was released so I bought one of those instead and I bash the hell out of it and so far I haven't broken anything. I think the losi has the best of both, durability, scale and performance.
sounds pretty awesome! usually losi are highly detailed or something different (like rock racers or the LMT) but sacrifice durability to achieve that
SBR 2.0 is pretty awesome. I got it and the Mojave. TBH though, I enjoy the Mojave more.
That is one rc at the TOP of our list!!! Once I return to work soon I think that will be one of the first I go buy 😁
Mojave bro🤙
These 2 trucks are nothing alike. Yes they both have TT bodies but that is where the similarity ends. The mojave is a freakin beast but if you want scale the ya gotta go UDR. both atr great rigs, so you may as well just buy both.
I couldnt decide which to buy , difficult decision . Bought the UDR first and within 4 months went and picked up the Mojave . After a few weeks of going head to head , the UDR came up as the winner .I love the scale look of the UDR .
Wow really?
The scale look is awesome and how realistic the suspension works along with how the body rolls on turns. But I prefer the Mojave it's simple large cheap to repair compared to the UDR.
Yes, I bought the UDR because looks so realistic
I know the Arrma have better handling, is more durable and easy to work
But I love the realistic suspension in the UDR.
The winner for me.
Awesome Video!! You guys nailed it on this one. The editing was amazing, really enjoyed it, now I want both! Thanks for all your hard work.
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the editing (took some time...) 😂🍻
I´ve got both trucks.
The UDR acts like it’s 2wd on the track, the Mojave just grips and goes.
The UDR has an open front differential therefore it relies on the locked rear axle for most of its power
I have 12 UDR’s love each one. Mojave looks like fun
Pretty much same deal here in New Zealand. Traxxas cars and parts cost 50% more. Arrma wins!
I have the exb and the v1 RTR Mojave other than a few aluminum upgrades honestly the difference isn't enough to go with the exb imo
The UDR with the trophy truck live axle and droop is what makes it my pick.
I commented on one of Kevin Talbot’s videos just the other day asking for a video just like this. Awesome work, you guys, thanks!
Many more comparisons to come!
@@TheRcKiwislooking forward to it!
The Traxxas looks so realistic mid air
This video seals the deal for me, the UDR is so much more lively and exciting with the true-to-scale aspect. Cheers from the USA.
It was a tough decision for me
I went with the arrma due to some of the upgrades you would have to do to actually make it bash ready
Where the arrma comes that way
But more importantly as long as you have fun with this hobby it really doesn't matter in the end
I enjoy this hobby
I call it my hobbsession
Lol
Just be happy and enjoy the fun whether it's rc cars
Trains
Sports or whatever
Me and my girl were running the Mojave the other day and you guys looked like we're having just as much fun great job guys 👍 keep them coming
Cheers mate!! Many more to come!
Udr handle better then mojave? I want what your smoking. Mojave has full independent suspension and handles better. I like them both..
The UDR actually looks and handles like a true truck and not an RC. If you want scale realism the UDR is it.
THAT was an INSAINLEY hard run on both of em'!!! Crazy tuff!!
I wish I had a Mojave! That truck looks badass
Traxxas UDR is the best car I ever had. It runs great on off road and the lights on it are amazing.
Shoegoo and dry wall tape is a must for the body.
Aww thank you Gino! Great point! I'm still waiting on parts for some of our planes and its been MONTHS!
I would essentially pick Arrma Mojave bcs of its durability and better mod and upgrade advantages.. traxxass did good.
really enjoyed your footage especially the racing part, could be more fun if you have a 2nd cam recording the drivers when they are competing
I always describe the UDR as part model and part RC. Not a basher by any means. It’s meant to run it to scale and it does so beautifully. There’s nothing else out there that moves and handle like the UDR 👊😜
Baja Rey Raptor and SBR are absolutely comparable.
Great video, you all really did put a lot of time into this comparison with the different sites you went to. Nice work
Cheers Greg! Hoping to have some more fun comparisons next week!
When I considered the Mohave, it was either that or the super Baja rey. I had seen too much negative feedback about the udr always breaking. The udr def looks cooler than the Mohave tho
Mojave exb is at the top of my list now. Cant wait to get it soon.
the extra money for the UDR is so worth it. the Mojave looks good but it has no realism and looks bouncy. really looks like a fast radioshack rc car. the UDR looks "weighted" and very balanced. the thing can whip around at high speeds and not flip.
Mojave - arcade mode
UDR - simulation
Man I'm from New Zealand and I watch and love your chanel.
It's only kinda half suspension travel with the solid axle limiting performance on anything but landing perfectly executed jumps.
I dont have ether one of these truck yet, but im looking at buying the UDR even know that its harder to do maintenance on
I have the mojave and love to drive it and working on the truck for maintance is also very easy! Downside is that rear wheels Come lose. Also the center diff melts, so i installed n an aluminum housing with thicker fluid.
What's more important; (scale) looks or performance?
Scale comes at a cost. Personally I like to drive not look 🤭🤟
All of it matters but either one of those cars is a good choice
you guys really had the charisma and videography to take this channel far, like kevin talbot... i do hope you make a return to YT!
I love Traxxas and will continue to buy them when I see one of their products I want. I bought the Mojave and it’s the best basher I’ve ever bought can’t believe the speed.
The best video of truly pushing these rigs
The udr seems to have quite a nose down attitude in the air. Would it benefit from some rear ballast?
What's the zd racing called model wise
@@dualtrondreamteam6811 I think it’s just the short course truck. I’ve had mine for awhile now and it’s possible they don’t make it anymore.
Great video. Definitely going to go with the UDR!
Great choice! You will not regret!
i have tested out the Mojave and the Traxxas UDR and the traxxas stock is faster out the box hitting 50 mph where the Mojave is just a few mph shy of hitting 50 mph.
Mojave 100%. I like the solid rear axle on the UDR but the Mojave still handles great with just a shock oil change to 75wt
Mojave might be my next RC! Love the video!
I love em both. The UDR is the most realistic driving RC car on the market. The Mojave is super tough and fast. In the end, if you are an RC enthousiast you have got to own both of them plus the Losi Super Baja Rey, which is just as good as the other two.
I cant wait to get a Losi SBR 2.0!
I like them all from all the reviews I see been Mojave as much more reliable but you did put the UDR through some pretty good jumps and it didn't look like anything really broke make my choice even harder
If you want a udr aluminum upgrades are a must mine breaks everytime I run it with stock plastic junk
ur such a good couple. looks like you guys have similar hobbies. congrats on finding each other man.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information no matter witch one you choose it’s a win win situation just add upgraded power and power full batteries with charger 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Love the ARRMA Mojave, is it possible to fit it out with a front and rear LED light bar?
Great review thank you both.😉
Got the Mojave since August 2022, love it. servo died after 2 or 3 weeks, got replacement from Arrma after 4-5 weeks, bought 1-2 days Amazon delivery (ZOSKAY 35kg high Torque Coreless Motor servo Metal Gear Digital and Stainless Steel Gear servo arduino servo for Robotic DIY,RC car (Control Angle 180°)) and it it is still running on it, WIN WIN. Btw the Mojave also carries/pulls my 3 y son in it's plastic cart or however I want to call this rubber crapshow (not just talking about my son) :)
STFU he's adorable (i mean my son)
I own both the mojave rips all day long 👌🏽
UDR all day everyday! The mojave 4s is pretty damb good though massive improvement on stability
I would like to try the UDR but it’s not available in Canada
I love my Mojave, such an awesome RC car. Exceeded all expectations, Mojave is a beast!
I have a UDR and love it. The way it runs and moves it has the best scale feel. It is not the MAXX or even the XMAXX. Just a different kind of Traxxas animal. Great review proof is in the video
Cheers Robert!! Its so nice to drive and you're absolutly right, completly different kind of animal! 🍻
Like them both but best bang for buck I would lean toward Mojave and having one delivered tomorrow.
It's like 12
Even though they seem similar, they are very different. The Mojave is more of a basher where the UDR is all about being as realistic as possible. UDR for me.
I have the Mojave and you guys pretty much described the Mojave accurately! Awesome job!
Cheers Ray!! 🍻
Your camera work just keeps getting better and better! Love watching you guys :)
Thank you!! 🍻
Love the slo no shots
I have the Mojave and i really love it, but damn! That was a fun video. Thank you!
UDR race trophy truck , Mojave is a basher trophy truck . This sums it up
Subbed, great content with exactly the info I'm looking for.
Man, now you got me rethinking again guys. I was just about to pull the trigger on the losi baja rey 10. Have you guys got any experience with it?
The zd racing dbx 07 just came out, hope you guys review it.
No we don’t but from what we have heard it’s a beast!!! And one we will surely get in the future!! 😁🍻

Don’t own either yet, but I really want a Mojave. 😬
The UDR is so realistic in drive, but you should drive it realistically...I love to drive my friends UDR !
I'm not sure if I should get a infraction or a Mojave??
You guys are awesome! Love the videos you guys have an awesome formula keep it up, super entertaining.
Appreciate the vids. Loosen the screws on UDR body when your bashing ✌🏼
Thanks for the tip!
Amber and the Mojave kicked butt on this test.....!!!
i have not yet seen the video, but i will say that the mojave is the better for bashing and racing, udr only wins in scale driving, now lets see what you say ;)
Let me decide for you. Mojave, hands down. Don't get me wrong, the UDR is stupidly beautiful, but that is all it has on the Mojave-not that the Mojave is ugly. It's one of the better looking rtr's out there. Its just that the UDR is stunning in person.
So other than the price is kinda silly not knowing but what makes these better than the Traxxas slash 4x4?? Sorry and thanks!!
They both looks amazing whanau
Cheers Peter!! 🍻
