    when I was working (planting) in a strawberries farm, bent but standing for entire days, I have got an incredible pain but that finally really strengthened my lower back and I saw result in the weight I could snatch.

    Thanks so much for providing content like this. It's good to see some of the training lifts behind the major lifts and the reasons why to use them.

    What is the purpose of the back extension hold exercise? What will it improve?

  • @angrychulz
    @angrychulz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    In her overhead position, her right wrist does not extend as much as her left does causing her to rotate during the Snatch and at the top of the jerk. Is this from a previous injury?

    A question: when she snatchs, at the end of the movement, she turns to the right. I have the same thing. What causes this? She clearly doesnt have mobility issues

    • @ianpankey5049
      @ianpankey5049 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same thing too. I have been thinking it has to do with tighter pecs on one side or an imbalanced trap and shoulder contraction. I slowed down one of her snatches from the front and her left shoulder is more forward than her right, which explains why the bar is more forward on the left than the right.

    Excellent vid! Thanks for sharing. The way she squats, it appears as though she does some sort of a modified 'Kang Squat.' Is this done on purpose? Or is this how she normally squats?

    Can you tell me please how long time this session training last from the snatch balance until the end????

    • @cbn1362
      @cbn1362 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could guess about 2 hours +- including or excluding warmup. Most worlds elite trains 2 times a day 5 days a week.

    I never see weightlifters train the hands (grippers/grip-machines). Why is that?

    • @georgecaine6288
      @georgecaine6288 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      They use a hook grip so they don't really need to. They use the weight on the bar to trap their thumbs between the bar and their remaining fingers, really difficult to lose control of the bar that way
