I've failed many times trying to change such as experiencing, doing something new but it's just introduced me more problems. I really appreciate on how you put this presentation as how calming and simple it is buildings step by step the process and you put the obstacles(stressors) as the one that can make a better you. I will learn to embrace my problems and face it as it is. I really want to become a better me

@@deborahhall9086 My channel has almost 200 subs and 84 hours of watch time although my next video completion progress has been pretty slow due to switching to another editing software and change of gears but no matter how slow it is to make videos, I do enjoy it. I know that my channel is way more low quality and not even close to other TH-camrs' success out there but really, I realized that the main reason for doing this is not about the success but the inspiration I've been providing some people with my stories and experiences. Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say based on what you said, I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my TH-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a TH-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this TH-cam thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support!

  • @nicholascaggiano2482

i think most people have an issue that cant be solved by just reading and learning. il explain. your comparison to physical strength is apt, putting your body through stress gradually introduces chaos to their body that slowly gets repaired through rest and diet. information does the same to the brain, slowly you keep introducing more and more stress and information that turns order into chaos, and back into order. the problem is when you consider what happens when to much chaos is introduced at once. if you try to lift a weight that is too heavy , you can run the risk of injury. if your body can become damaged. at which point, no amount of diet can save that, its going to need direct intervention, rest, recuperation maybe even some physical therapy to make sure it heals correctly. if it doesn't heal correctly, you might be dealing with chronic pain for the rest of your life . or a leg that's broken that doesn't have proper treatment can stay broken. the same can be said for mental health. sometimes information can be too much to bare on someone all at once, this is what trauma is. beholding a traumatic event can be considered in taking new information, no? doom scrolling and learning every day horrible events and horrible atrocities of life could be akin to wearing heavy heights all day with no rest or reoperation .what doesn't kill you genuinely doesn't make you stronger all the time, you can suffer permanent damage just like the physical body, and its very important to our world that we acknowledge that !

I believe meditation and reflection are also key aspects to building resilience (strength as you put it). Reading with out reflection and analysis is orders of magnitude less beneficial. Having experiences with auto-pilot turned on leaves those valuable moments hollow. Being truly mindful can turn even mundane activities into monumental moments. I agree with what you have said, however, I feel these is so much more to this topic and that your model lacks substance and practicality. Keep up the good work.

Hi and thanks for the video. I’ve got an important question for you: how do you learn to become fully conscious of all these good advices? I’m struggling to do it, in the sense that while I have no problems in understanding them from the psychological and emotional/spiritual point of view, I have however the biggest difficulties in remembering them, being conscious of them, and sticking to my initial resolutions to implement them in my everyday life. It’s like my brain understands but my overall “being” treats it as just a piece of information and no effective transformative action is either taken or sustained in the mid or long term. That’s why I believe my problem lies in my inability to become fully conscious of it, and I’m wondering how I could become more conscious. Could you please take the time to provide an answer and provide a few links to resources abounding in your explanations? Thank you!

If I'm hearing your logic correctly your argument is that by working to gain experience, the acquisition of that experience equips you to deal with stress, thereby increasing mental strength. This seems like a valid argument because your applying work; some mental, and or physical force over a distance of time or in space. If you define stress as pressure you find something interesting. Work and Stress are essentially the same thing with the only thing separating them is one dimension multiplied by distance and an inverse relationship. work is force times distance while pressure is force divided by distance squared. In fact because we operate in 3 dimensions it could be argued that the dimensional variable separating work and stress naturally manifest itself in the physical world. Furthermore where people exist in this relationship flips transforming your arguments conclusion to stress helps you deal with stress. Stress enlarges your memory state and stress improves mental strength. this doesn't sound very sound.

Knowledge is etymologically related to gnosis. Gnosis is remembering of the being mode, rather than the having mode, also called insight or sati. It is a form of mindfulness that leads to an optimal grip on the world, which is linked to a state of flow.
People who are more mindful, tend to also be more insightful, more in flow, and experience more meaning in life.
I am paraphrasing "Awakening from the meaning crisis", a 50 video youtube series by John Vervaeke.

read classical literature, don't associate young adult fiction and most self help literature with "reading books", the gold is mostly in the filtered list of the classics from the best, which have stood the test of time for many many years. Especially fiction that weaves philosphical points and ideas, aiding an individual's ability to reflect on their position in society, in the bigger universe, in life.. Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, Herman Melville's Bartbly, Moby Dick, Virginia Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway, to the lighthouse and so on are invaluable to me...

Cool Video. I agree with most of the things u said in the video. But instead of reading i know that putting urself in situation of stress and overcoming them is the main ground to build mental strength. Like u said before in the video, talking infront of people. U fear it, its a stressor, u put urself in the situation, create order by the practical knowledge u received, improved ur mindset (u call it worldview) towards talking infront of people.
