    NOTE: In the video, I got "Dutch" and "German" mixed up on accident (Deutsch = German, Nederlands = Dutch), shows how much I know about those languages, so I apologize about that! I'll fix the imgur album/link. Please don't think of me as an ignorant American I'm doing my best studying Japanese but I haven't really touched any other language/culture that much yet :(((((
    EDIT: Oh yeah, the voice clip at 5:30 isn't Jigglypuff's Star KO, but actually one of her Final Smash sounds. Both Star KOs and Final Smashes are the only types of voices that have echo to them, so that's why I mixed it up.

      Question about Tomodachi Life. What happens if you save the replay file from that map and play it on a different account or Switch(using an SD card to transfer for example)? Will the Miis remain constant, or get repopulated from the second Switch or accounts Miis.

      In Animal Crossing, if you change the switch's clock while the game is running, the in-game clock will only change after you close and open the game again, so I suppose the same thing would happen here

    The other versions of the games don't have the voice actors probably because of the Union. Nintendo mostly hire Non-Union actors and when they do, to not pay extra, they don't credit them, for example Pit's english voice actor in game isn't credited anywhere in-game because he's unionized and basically worked under the belt for Smash. So for consistency, you don't see the voice actors in other languages.

    About the Mushrooms effecting item-throw damage: Don't the mushrooms scale the character's damage output? If so, the item-throw damage might not be modified due to the weight change, but due to the same damage multiplier that the mushroom applies to all other moves.

    The game choosing random miis in the Tomodachi Life stage also happens in the quickplay waiting room when playing as any of the mii fighters, and also their voices are always set to "Type 7" for some reason. They appear to be randomly generated in the same way that they are from the "choose a look-a-like" option in the mii maker

    DK's side b and the pitfall both spike in the air, and they both send straight up when buried, so it probably has something to do with the aerial hitboxes of the buries

    I bet that the ancient arrow bury stuff is caused by a normally unnoticeable initial hitbox that is extremely weak and usually only serves to link into the normal, strong hit. When you are buried and get hit by a low knock back move, you will stay buried. However, getting hit by a high knock back move causes you to immediately become unburied and experience the knock back. My guess is that this initial weak linking hitbox on the final smash has a special property that forces you to be unburied, even though the knock back would normally be too weak to unbury you. The game probably then gets confused and gives you the knock back not from the ancient arrow but from the move that buried you as if you were not on the ground, making you unburyable. Only at 730% then would the normally weak linking hitbox finally be strong enough to properly unbury you and override the bury knock back to link into the normal hit of the ancient arrow. Similar to how dark pits final smash has a weak stun hitbox

      To be honest, it feels to me like what's going on is that all the buries are "storing" knockback, and getting hit by the FS lets it be applied again. What I've noticed on all of the burying moves is that the strange knockback just about matches what happens to you if you're hit by them in ways that don't bury you. Waluigi knocks you horizontally, Metagross pops you back a bit, DK does about the same, but then Pitfall Seed forces you down in a POWERFUL spike- but normally doesn't smash you back up very strongly. These all somewhat match what the FS does to you! So I'm wondering, even though you don't take knockback when these bury you, is it possible that they ARE applying knockback, it's just being "stored", and then for whatever reason until a super high damage the FS's knockback is ignored in favor of what the bury applied?

    The thing with the shades of the same characters is true in smash bros melee. When someone is using the same alt in teams and such, it gets darker, lighter, and if you use the name glitch, you can have 4 players on one team and one of them turns (basically) into a silhouette of the character

    I figured it out! The knockback from Ancient Arrow on a buried opponent is the same as the bury's aerial hitbox. That's why the pitfall spikes them into the ground, and Metagross only nudges them a little. For some reason, at 730%, Mario is instead affected my the Ancient Arrow's hitbox instead of the bury.

    If he recatches his krown the same frame an opponent is hit, the combo counter will be red. This one is much harder to pull off though

    Fun fact: (Smash mode only) If you choose a song on Final Destination and then try to go the the character select screen, the game can crash. I learned this from experience. Multiple times.

    Fact: when an opponent is metal the knock back the opponent will take is reduced by a significant amount. But for some reason the knock back on bowser’s up B is way less reduced, you can see for example at high precents that against a metal opponent bowser’s up B will send the opponent way further than forward smash. I tested some other moves (including Mario up B which has weird priorities against opponents with super armor spirits) and bowser up B is the only move that I found working like that

    Something also related to the voice actors page is that some characters have voice lines cut/added when changing languages. Like Mewtwo has actual spoken dialog during the victory screen in Japanese and same with all 4 of Hero's costumes during gameplay, also in Japanese.

    I could have an idea how that weight throwing thing works.
    In programming I like to use "double variables", what i mean with this is giving (for example) a character 2 weights. The first one is the constant weight, it should not be changed. If you change it, it would still be like this even in the next round. For this reason i like to create a second weight, wich is the calculating weight. Every time the weight gets changed, only the calculating weight will be changend, and of course only this weight will be used for calculating (at the end of the end of the round the calculating weight will again be set to the constant weight).
    What could have happened is that the weight used for calculating thrown item damage is the constant weight, wich will always be the same, even if the calculating weight is increased.
    The reason why the super mushroom did more damage was, because that's what the super mushroom is there for.
    But I'm still a inexperienced programmer so what do i know.

    About Link's final smash arrow and the bury effect, i think it can help to comprehend how each burying effect works:
    The Pitfall sends you straight downwards, and, if it hits in the air, it makes you bounce straight upwards; here, the arrow sends the opponent upwards, the same way if it bounced from the Pitfall
    Maybe Metagross and Donkey Kong bury the opponent in a way that the game sets a specific knockback to make sure it doesn't affect your next hit; that could explain why the arrow doesn't send them in a specific direction until higher percents
    With Waluigi, my guess is that he buries the opponent in a way that his next hit sends the enemy in a more horizontal way, but also could be affected by another player/item/etc.; the arrow would send them horizontally because of that

    The Link final smash bury thing may be calculated by multiplying the knockback of the bury move times Link's arrow. The reason it goes nowhere with Metagross and DK is probably because those moves to zero knockback. In short what I think is happening is: Link's arrow's knockback * Bury move's knockback, in the case of DK and Metagross it's going to be Link's Arrow * 0 which equals 0. All of this is just theory though

    Fact: This happened to me in training mode, after being hit by an attack (Like Donkey Kong's F smash) and using Fox's Illusion while in the air after being hit, you'll get a little boost in the air right before the Illusion happens.

    Fact: Phantom hits from melle are half here. Get samus and put her at the end of the stage. Grab ness and spam down tilt to where samus is almost hit. You will see a spark if it's a phantom hit. Maybe works with most/all characters

    The Ptooie thing does also work with K Rools crown if done correctly. I can't tell for sure if it's the hit instantly before picking up crown again, but I had the counter go red for crown before

    So many differences in different areas! The VAs might be out of most games for immersion reasons, but Duck Hunt Duo is much better than just Duck Hunt! It's good to see they changed training to prevent combo cheesing, though Donkey Kong's blowhole is either much more or less so. The thing with Link's final smash is very good to know. Maybe it has to do with the two 'knockback situations' combining?

    I remember in melee where even the cheers and sound effects were in each character's voice clip section. The announcer even could say Giga Koopa or masterhand, which was cool. A lot more interesting than the ultimate voice section.

    On the voice clips, Jigglypuff's sing just repeats the same voice clip at different pitches, and I think the "voice clip" for zss taunts are part of the sfx that plays, not an actual voice line

    It looks like when you're using Link's Final Smash, Metagross is hitting Mario right before he actually passes his hitbox, ending up hitting him again, but not burying. Metagross looked like it was a bit late to the punch where you tested at 716 percent.

    Worth noting about the Pitfall item: it actually uses an insanely high fixed knockback value to keep the opponent in there for so long (longer than other bury moves, like Headbutt), so I think the vertical knockback is the opponent getting hit with the full force of that. This is actually why, in Brawl, if Wario drives over one with his bike, he'll get sent flying.

    Somebody recommended me this channel in Smash Ultimate Hell. Loved the video, subscribed.
    I am curious about how the game chooses what music plays on a stage during online play. Is it just a combination of the probabilities for each song appearing for each player divided by the number of players? And how does it work on Battlefield/Final Destination when one player has all the playable music turned and the other has only the BF/FD music on?

    What the HECK!? I VIVIDLY remember characters getting even darker colors when multiple players were using the same alternate color. They MUST have changed something.

    At 9:08, technically yes, but you can do it so that you jump above them and swallow it when you land on them it has the same effect and it can work on every character :)

    Something I found recently in Smash 3DS game is when you use Mii Brawler's final smash when the Isabelle Assist Trophy was summoned. Isabelle would throw the food way up in the sky and not go away until the final smash ends and you walk over them and they heal you. I did this in training mode.

    2:41 I find this very strange, because Melee actually does have different "sub-colors" that it loads when multiple characters use the same color (because team battle colors were locked to alts before Smash 4). The sub-colors are determined by player order, and they go from normal, to a lighter tint, to a darker shade, to all black (used by Dark Link in Event 18), to all grey (accessible only via the debug menu), to all pink (debug only as well, but also requires a cheat code to load properly). Because only three players can be on the same team (outside of Multi-Man Melee, which doesn't use sub-colors), only the tint and shade are accessible in normal gameplay. However, by using the name entry glitch you can put four characters on the same team, and player 4 will be all black when you do this.
    I find it strange that Ultimate doesn't do this as well, though this is understandable since having three or more players using the same color is unlikely (now that team battles don't use fixed alts anymore).

    A fact I've never heard anyone mention before (I don't know if people know about it or not...) is that when Dedede lands on the ground after cancelling up B, he makes a cymbal/drum sound, depending on how close to the ground he cancels up B. This references Dedede's Drum Dash from Kirby Triple Deluxe.

    11:35 i feel like the issue with metagross and mario not going anywhere is that metagross is a burying hitbox the is active throughout the whole time its active so that frame 1 does deal knockback but frame 2 does the burying like effect again which results in mario's knockback getting overwritten and not going anywhere, and with the 730% the frame 1 hit knocks mario outside metagross's hitbox so it wont bury mario again

    Just nitpicking but at 5:30 ish, that isn’t Jigglypuff’s star KO sound, it’s the end of her Final Smash.

      Well her star KO trails off while her final smash doesn't. And they don't use effects, otherwise they wouldn't have put the reverberated and fading star KO sound for each characters.

    I’m pretty sure why when you get a super/poison mushroom it increases mr. saturns damage is because those items increase a characters damage which somehow effects how much damage and item thrown does

    Regarding the mushroom weight changes it is probably just replacing the characters weight entirely whereas being metal is base weight + the weight from being metal
