    * Note: I say 20 Marine Terminator box, but I mean 10 Marine. I just got confused with the tactical squad box amount.

    Mark 3 having two canon designs is peak 40k in a dumb but very special way.

      Fits into how the tech development would work across an entire galaxy. It's not unreasonable that a certain piece or model of technology has regional variation when the factories manufacturing them might be separated by dozens of light years. Kinda like how the World Eaters got into the scowl-face helmet design even before Mk. VII armor.

    I mourn the perfection that was the OG resin Mk2. Such a victory of design and elegance in spite of its primitive look. Peak Atom Punk.

      I love Mk2 as well, the Mono-visor helm is where it's at.

    I really hope they don’t do away with lightning claws all together. I love the aesthetic, and I wish more captains and chapter masters ran with a sword/lightning claw loadout, harkening back to the Emperor

      @@JunoMeHistory Ah! Thank you for reminding me, yes I have seen those! Yeah they do look weird, atleast in my opinion; definitely not as intimidating as the old ones.

      @@inquisitorvuln true that But, Powerclaws are also kinda weaker than Power fists, it doesn't make a lot of sense for non-terminator Units to have fists with claws if they are that much weaker, hence I feel like they just went Full wolverine

    GW: "We are getting rid of all your favorite chapter specific units and making Primaris versions of them!!!!"
    Fans: "Will they have weapon options?"
    GW: ".... no"

    Funnily enough, a buddy of mine (deep in the tabletop sets & rules) spoke about a new Inquisition codex thinking about the possibility that the Grey Knights/Death Watch could be integrated in it. it could be cool even tough it would diminish the existince of the current Grey Knight/Death Watch factions. I don't mind it, why not. And regarding the Grey Knights, sooner or later they will become either exctinct or Primaris. Maybe I missed a Lore Reason but it would be somewhat strange to not see them cross the Rubicon.
    The thing with re-releases is always a tricky one. Sure old sculpts need to be updated and I see the need to make money (selling the old stuff as new/updated stuff again) but the pace is too slow. I know this was a topic of one of your other videos but GW's range is oversaturated with Space Marines & their re-releases/updates/replacements taking away spots for other factions. As much as it hurts it probably wouldn't be the worsed to slim the SM faction from some units (I bet they will be replaced with something new and shiny somewhere). Sure people would cry (as they did with the first big waves of cut away firstborn stuff) but would get over with it as with everything so far. People are way more vocal than actually doing anything. That's why there is som reign over the consumer base I would say.

    4:19 Joy Toy also did mk3 marines pre-mk3 update.
    If we’re to see a nother updated armor mk, it’s likely mk4 next due to all the characters in Mk4 from Forge World.

  • @HerrMarajin
    @HerrMarajin หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I thinks it's pretty reasonable to have models wearing different sub styles of armour.
    For example both old style mk III and new style mk III.

    • @inquisitorvuln
      @inquisitorvuln  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@HerrMarajin I would agree if they were all the same scale, and both were available from GW, but neither is the case.

  • @JJShurte
    @JJShurte หลายเดือนก่อน +6

    It must be hard for GW when 3rd party companies like Tortuga Bay (and others) already have the market for other patterns of armour squared away.

    • @inquisitorvuln
      @inquisitorvuln  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@JJShurte yeah, I think that's why they've been so busy redesigning and re-scaling their sculpts, the competition with their old designs and companies/sculptors that make them better.

    For once I 100% agree with what you said. I do hope we see new infantry types of units like Destroyers, Breechers, Recon, and Seekers to name a few. We'll see.

    The Cataphractii design is utterly perfect. The only things they should change is the size, proportions, and weapon options more than anything. One heavy flamer and lightning claws are boring as fuck. No combi-weapons to speak of, and the autocannon is outdated resin.

    • @Jackalos1
      @Jackalos1 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn't mind the mentioned gorget change tbh, but yeah, the mk3 changed a lot more than the mk6 (and I don't think it was all for the better)

      Cata armor is the image of heavy armor perfection. I would hate to see it changed, as lately, all of GWs changes have been for the worse.

      @@inquisitorvuln Honestly it's been the way they've handled the settings, their business practices being highly anti-consumer, etc.
      Got into warhammer tail end of 7th (like a week later Guilliman came back) and I've got to say, possibly being in the minority of newer fans here, I hate most of the lore 8th onwards. It's been sub-par at best.
