Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in a GDQ of the past, mitch and poo were having a SMB3 race and I believe poo was behind and either messed something up or did something hype. In reaction, he stomped his foot on the ground and accidentally hit mitch's console, knocking his game out and killing his run
@@Clinterus SGDQ 2018, Poo was racing against Mitch in a SMW3 race, and knocked Mitch's console out of commission after stomping. It ended Mitch's run. It has gone memetic, with things like a Mario Maker level that crashes the Wii U when played.
for me it was more because it was scary and intimidating-- an enemy you couldn't 'kill' and the concept of a killer sun-- something that normally brings joy and brightness-- was just... extra creepy. So despite its lack of actual difficulty it just tripped you up. That's my theory anyway, bc I experienced the same thing.
@@twally87 you can easily kill it with a koopa. I was never scared of it, when I played smb2 before and there was a an ACTUALLY invincible enemy of phanto.
